Eix Platja Daurada Hotel & Spa

The room is small and dark, lightning very poor, furniture very old and used, they didn’t make an effort to try and refurb a bit. All mirrors are oxidised around corners. Cleaning is good, the housekeeper deserves a medal for trying to make everyone feel welcome by greeting and smiling (the only one). The water from the shower comes out in the room therefore the door is all afected by the water and spliting off. Aircon is weak, if you stay still it does the job but if you move in the room it feels like a fan. Reception staff, no one smiles or greets (apart from the night receptionist on our arrival). We asked for late checkout, as they provide it, we were told different by different people, first a not possible, then try one day prior , try two days prior then try on the day to see if possible. From day one they knew it is a no, but none of them tried to put our mind at ease to say that they do provide luggage storrage and not to worry. It was just the NO and you do what you can. Everyone hardly speaks any english, just german, and if you don’t speak the language you have no chance at anything. Waiters around the hotel are pleasant and smiling but not all. And as a final review, there is one rule for one and one for others. One evening we were told vaping is not allowed on the terrace, but the people at two tables around us were smoking cigarettes i feel like laughing now, but this area? never again!

Great place to stay. Fantastic sea view right on the front, rooms a little basic but could overlook that for the great food, clean rooms and towels daily, great spa facilities, hot power shower in room. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Would stay here again.

This is the worst Hotel I've ever stayed in. I was woken at 1.30 in the morning by a couple who had been given a key to my room. I repeatedly ask to see the manager but he was not available. I have received no apology. This Hotel is not safe. This said the staff were very friendly.

just stayed with my family for 2 weeks wouldn,t say 4 star very dated in the rooms small balcony,s shower not the best facilities basic entertainment very basic and not the best staff in the restaurant quite rude and the food not the best not very friendly towards english clientel on the plus side easy access to the town and the beach and the cleaning staff were great too and the reception staff wouldn,t stay again as felt needed to go out as some of the other guests were quite rude and lots of mosquitoes never been bit in 30 years of travelling got bitten a good few times here as did my son and my husband

The hotel room is lovely, we booked a suite with sea view and balcony..lovely and spacious and immaculate. Hotel food (only ate 3 times here) very samey and not very hot. Now this is predominantly a German visitor hotel, which is fine , but no atmosphere..the entertainment was OK ish but not many taking part. Reception Staff and Housekeeping were amazing ..Service for drinks if your German OK, if your English tend to get ignored. Overall a pleasant hotel.
