"The hotel is not big and the rooms are a bit small. There is no stove, so we can't cook Chinese food. There is a microwave and baking pan, but no range hood.
Pay parking is at the church across the road."
"Rydges Camperdown located within walking distance to Newtown, The University of Sydney and RPA. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel where you can catch bus 422 or 412 to Central station and Chinatown.
The check in was smooth and I was assigned to a Queen room on level 4. I stayed at Rydges for 7 nights for work purposes. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was confortable and the bathroom was clean. There is a swimming pool at the hotel but I did'nt use it.
I did not have any issue with the stay and I would stay at Rydges Camperdown in the future."

"This hotel is very good, with convenient transportation. There is a train station and a supermarket 100 meters away. There is a small cloakroom in the room. It is very convenient to store luggage. There is also an induction cooker, microwave and tableware. The front desk staff is very enthusiastic."
"My two kids and I were visiting Sydney to catch up with friends for a few days and just needed a place to crash in the evenings. I used to be a local so knew the Erko would be the perfect home base for our plans - close to transport, groceries, shopping, cafes, and sushi! The 3/4-person room was spacious and clean, the shared bathrooms in good condition (although you had to run the shower for a good 4min before the hot water kicked in! Once the temperature was good it remained steady but I cringed at the waste of water at the outset), and the shared kitchen had great facilities. Although it was noisy when the pub was open, the sound remained unobtrusively in the background (like someone having a party next door) and disappeared altogether by midnight. We were very happy with our experience overall (my kids really want to come back sometime!) especially relative to the price. The only things I would recommend they improve is to get a hot water system installed closer to the bathrooms and see if they can reserve some customer parking in the council carpark next door - I managed to snag one of the two unrestricted parking spots right outside the door on our second day but it was pretty stressful having to move the car every two hours until then. It would also be great to get provide reverse-cycle aircon and secure wifi but those aren't deal-breakers given that we had enough bedding to stay cozy and the council provides free wifi coverage in the area. If you're just looking for a well situated crash pad while visiting Sydney I highly recommend the Erko. Thanks again for a great stay."

"I was lucky enough to have my room ready in advance, before 2PM and since my flight arrived early in the morning, that was really nice !
Cathy was also a wonderful person in general, throughout my stay.
The room is pretty big, with a sink and a fridge. ๐๐ป
The room I had is next to the common area however people weren't too loud, especially in the evening despite it roughly being the dinner time so that was nice.
The area is very chill, a few schools and houses around so not loud at night. It is, however, situated on the planes' route and they are pretty low in the sky since it gets close to the airport. But there aren't any at night (around midnight until 6AM I would say) and it's not every 5 minutes either.
The sun set pretty early at that time of the year and to me, I felt like the neighborhood lacked lights for people to walk around but it wasn't much of a bother and not something the lodge can change, so just a heads-up to have a small light/enough battery on the phone to use when coming back from your day trip activities."
"This hotel is in Newtown where you can enjoy sightseeing. In my opinion, it is very easy to travel from this hotel because there is a bus stop in front of it. Moreover, this hotel has a shuttle bus service which can drop you off at the airport. Itโs very comfortable for me. I like it๐ซถ๐ผ."
"If you're in Sydney for The Swinging Cat World Championships, this is NOT the hotel for you. Tiny (but clean and modern) rooms. The hotel exists to try and deliver a bit of value to cheapskate tourists like myself. You're right on Broadway (not to be confused with actual NYC Broadway btw (whose photos are somewhat wankily plastered all over the lobby)), so there's no excuses for not walking everywhere; and Julie on front desk may not be able to get you a bigger room but may find you one with a window (!) as she runs the place with a friendly, but ruthlessly matter-of-fact demeanour that brings to mind the (often hidden) intended benign benefits of authoritarian Facism (not that I'm a fan, mind). She's also there literally ALL the time to the point that she may in fact be an unthreatening-AI-robotic-beta concept-receptionist. You're not going to like it...but then again, you probably know that already...aaand, it's certainly better than a hostel."
