房間比較大,設施完善。酒店的餐廳和酒吧都不錯,每天都有很多非酒店住客在這裏吃飯喝酒。這個酒店是鎮上位置最好的,交通便利

Had a really good stay. Great location within Campbeltown with free on street parking and everything in walking distance. Room was spacious and slept well. There are a few minor cosmetic repairs needed such as torn curtains but this didn't affect our stay. Had a meal in the evening which was very nice and plenty of breakfast options in the morning. We would gladly stay again.

Stayed here on a 3 day break in the area. Warm welcome from the friendly lady on reception. Our room wasn't quiet ready, so she took us to the hotel bar and set us up with some free drinks. Room was very nice and had a lovely view of the harbour, looking lovely in the sunshine. Nice spacious room with lovely big bed and great linens. Huge wardrobe with lots of nice wooden hangers. Decent tv with sky and lots of chanels. All in the all the room was great and only niggle was no soap in the bathroom but we could have easily asked for this. Breakfast in the hotel was THE BEST we have ever had and was definately a 10/10. The dark hair lady who runs it is a total star and should be running the whole restaurant or even the hotel. She is super friendly, great sense of humour and also has fantastic attention to detail. Really enjoyed our interactions with her each morning. Their is a large continental selection with a great coffee machine. Also a very extensive cooked breakfast with EVERYTHING you could ever want. For an older hotel, its still looks very classic and has some really lovely features. Price wise its similar to the other hotels in Campbeltown but has the best location with the nicest view. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night and were impressed by the very extensive menu. We sat down at 7:30pm and our order was taken about 7:45pm, with our drinks quickly arriving. Time went by and by 8:45pm our starters hadn't arrived, so we did that typically british thing and decided to say nothing until 9pm. We called one of the young waitress's over and explained our situation, she apologised and said she would investigate straight away and would make sure we were compensated. A few minutes later our original waitress came over looking totally mortified and explained that she had accidently not placed our order. She was so so apologetic and said that everything would be on the house, including all drinks etc. Our food then quickly arrived and was DELICIOUS. I was really impressed by how they handled this and we left with a really positve opinion of the restaurant and have nothing but praise. All in all its a great hotel with some super lovely staff, a very good chef, best breakfast we have ever eaten and in a great location. Highly recommended.

The Royal is a well refurbished hotel standing next to Campbeltown's harbour. Along with the Black Sheep Pub [the hotel's bar], and the Harbourview Grille [the hotel's restaurant] it really is the best place to stay. The hotel does NOT have it's own parking, but this was not a problem in June. Plenty of on street parking with no daft parking charges. The rooms are pretty large indeed room 308 might be described as huge, and I do like a bathroom with a window, and a bath. Her ladyship like the separate walk in shower. Great views over the harbour. The pub usually has a real ales on tap and serves the same menu as the restaurant. The restaurant's breakfast is simply fabulous, and evening menu is just what one wants after a day exploring.

Stopped in here for lunch during a day trip. Very tired and dull looking however due to reading reviews we decided to order food. This was a bad decision! Starters were okay but the fish and chips were very poor. Fish was tasteless and chips I'm sure were reheats. Considering the supply of fresh fish in the area I would have expected this dish to be excellent. Very disappointing. Young waitresses although young were friendly enough but did lack hospitality experience.

Friendly reception staff - Thank you Alison for your local knowledge and help. The restaurant was warm and the food was excellent. I had the steak and would thoroughly recommend it! A great thank you to the serving staff especially Margaret Ann who was very friendly and helpful. We had a drink in their bar which had a lovely atmosphere. We stayed for the weekend during Storm Bert in November and had a large room on level 3 (38) which was warm and comfortable. We will stay there again

Untrained young staff who are quite frankly rude and lack the basics of simple training. I'm local, and this week's visit was my last try out of six (I believe in more than 2nd chances), and I'll never go in again and I bring a lot of family and friends who are on holiday. This visit we sat for 12 MINUTES! with no greeting whatsoever. One waitress was behind the bar and saw us, no acknowledgement. There was a table of eight and two tables of two, middle of the afternoon, so not busy by any means. If they were delayed, all it would have taken was a simple polite hello and we'll be right with you. We walked out. The other visits have been increasingly on getting my ire up with lack of friendliness. Went in one day for coffee and scones and she said, I have no cups. Excuse me??? When this place opened, it was brilliant with well trained staff and I loved taking people here. The scones are the best in town. This week I have officially given up until I hear from locals that it is good again. I do not like rating a local place like this, but it is getting ridiculous.

This is a fantastic hotel and I only wish we'd stayed more than one night. Check in was quick, staff were so friendly and the food in Harbourview Grill was delicious, with great service. The rooms are spacious with lovely decor and the en-suite bathroom had a great shower with great water pressure. It was nice to see all the old photos of Campbeltown dotted round the hotel and in our room too. We had a great stay and hope to return for a longer one next time.
