Everything is perfect except for the size of the room. It’s too small for its price. I love the interior. It provides Netflix but sometimes internet connection was problematic too. Staff were great. They’re efficient and friendly. Delicious food for all breakfast lunch and dinner

The address is as follow: No 46A Jalan Golden Hills 2 Barrington Home, Golden Hills 39000 Tanah Rata, Cameron Hills, pahang Great villa that fit 20 person easily, 3 big rooms and a kitchen with cutlery and plates. Right outside the villa is walking distance to a street night market. Every night was crowded as fresh vegetables are good for value. Encounter everyday jam in Cameron Highlands to all places of interest, easily 2 hours stay in car, time was wasted also on finding carpark lot. Road was mostly one way and curvey, prepare for passengers uneasy on stomach for frequent stops. Hope to come back again and see that the infrastructure have improved.

Im a frequent traveller frm KL up to CH as my son n relatives are working there. But this is our first time trying this Hotel at De La Ferns since its close to my son's work place and seriously....im loving it!!
Thank u so much crews..u made our day. Everything was perfect..1st stay on 24th Jan arrived late our original room was taken and we were given an upgrade room to junior suite..wow! 2nd stay again on 27th Jan ..both rooms were perfect facing the main road feels safe for us. So nice and kind ur staff is so understanding since for the 2nd stay i was alone they put me up close to the lift area. And the best part of all the room is ur TV oh my..ur Tv..android TV leh..jangan main main tau😂. We wil definately make this our fav hotel too.
Now.....the bad part of this was.........
Ur bed n pillows r so comfy u make us miss our breakfast!!

The hotel is not on par with its 4 star rating and did not commensurate its room rates. I would give a maximum of three stars and, in some respects, just a budget hotel.
There is no complimentary drinking water in the room. To get the water, we had to carry a glass jug, moved along the corridor, and went down a flight of stairs to the water station. There was no iron and ironing board in the room. The common ironing room is near the water station on the lower floor. This arrangement is very similar to those found in cheap budget hotels.
Given that in the interests of environmental considerations, plastic bottles are not used, other respectable hotels normally prepare glass bottled water for guests.
Breakfast was very bad. Most of the dishes were local, and choices were limited, especially for those not used to local food. The presentation was also very poor, with some food items just piled on top of one another. Coffee and tea were made in bulk and served from a big dispenser.
Internet was also not stable.
The main plus point is its location, walking distance from the bus station and Tanah Rata town centre where food outlets and some places of interest can be found.

It is a nice place to stay, to relax. It has a nice view, nice architecture, lovely decoration. But the weather of this place is quite cool or cold, so it will be greater to avoid of being wet much from the floor by having a barrier and the curtain to seperate the area for having bath from the one for face wash basin and toilet basin. Because of the fatigue of Trans Jasper hiking, also exposed to traffic congestion we chose to stay 1 more night. Tanah Rata to Kea Farm, Brinchang which should take only 15-20 minutes but becomes 2 hours. We went to Tanah Rata Night Market. ***One of the best efforts for chalet owners who use the existing space by producing a compact chalet with complete equipment. A cute chalet that only uses a queen size mattress, is equipped with a television, light suis, 3 sockets. Outside there is a shoe locker that has been provided with a toilet. Next to the chalet there is also a luggage/bag storage locker. Separate women and men's toilets. What I admire the most is that there are male and female surau separately as well. If you want to save money or stop by just to sleep for a while, you can stay here. If you want more comfort, you can book a room. The location is not far from Kea Farm Morning Market, there are also other interesting places. RECOMMENDED!***

Quite a convenient location to access to nearby areas like Cameron square, food & beverage areas.
Highest hotel floor level 13, our room was located at level 12, the hill view room.
Room was neat & clean, they provided amenities like bath towels, toothbrush and paste. The room was assigned with the bath tub. They do not provide small towel. Water dispenser is accessible at each level of the floor.
Swimming pool is sheltered at one of the hotel levels. The water temperature was not warm as described online.
Level 1 has 2 dining places: 1 will be the cafe, 1 will be the buffet style dining.
Getting grab around Cameron will take time as there are limited drivers around. A few times, we had to wait for 20 minutes for a pick up.
Weekdays traffic was not as bad as compared to weekends. Went on the trip during weekdays, overall pleasant trip.

Its our second time with NOVA. Love the location. Near to Kea Farm. Which all MAK MAK love the pasar. Hahahaha. We also book with Let’s Go Discovery on Coral Hill Tour. Its our first hiking experience at CH and definitely will repeat with them, since Sadu a.k.a Satu guide us well and he should get the first rate after all. He not only guide us to the top but also be our photographer..serious nice shoot.. hahaha.. both experience really satisfied!!!

The service is good, the antique and heritage building, garden and ambience are the key attractions of this hotel
Breakfast is very good and presentation is nice, especially come with the natural honey
Queen size bed is slightly small for two persons guess due to the limitations of room size
The bed and pillows are good and comfortable
The only one defects is the water heater not working well and can’t enjoy the bathtubs as it take too long to fill up with hot water, and got to wait longer to use hot shower
Highly recommended to support this small luxury boutique hotel and preserve the heritage and nature of Cameron Highlands

After a disappointing experience at a previous hotel, Cameron Highlands Resort proved to be a stark contrast. The moment we arrived, the grandeur of the place and warm greetings from the staff set a positive tone for our stay.
The reception process was accompanied by hot towels and a delightful homemade tea, setting the stage for a luxurious experience. Guided to our room on the first level, the well-preserved colonial cottage vibe of the building was evident.
Entering our room was a moment of awe — spacious, luxurious, and adorned with all the necessary amenities. From robes and slippers to toiletries, a coffee machine, and tea provisions, every detail contributed to a comfortable and indulgent stay. The bed, akin to sleeping on clouds, was complemented by the unexpected comfort of a bolster.
Opting to stay in for the evening, we dined at the sophisticated Dining Room. Despite initial skepticism from online reviews, the culinary experience exceeded expectations.We ordered:
1. Mushroom Soup - 9/10 it came with a baked parmesan that was a little stale. The soup itself was really thick and creamy.
2. Pumpkin Soup - 10/10 It was really delicious. Do note that it's on a sweeter side.
3. Australian Steak - 9/10 it was soft and tender, elements on the dish went well together. The flavour of the steak was really good, but I think it could use some salt. If you're not a huge eater, you can definitely share this dish with 2 pax.
4. Banana Crumble - 6/10 It was delicious but lack of bananas.
5. Chocolate lava cake - 10/10 We finished this plate clean. The chocolate lava was not too sweet, and it had the perfect consistency.
Attentive staff further enhanced the dining experience.
Returning to our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find the bed made, curtains drawn, and an ambiance set for bedtime. While personal belongings remained untouched, the thoughtful gesture added a unique touch to our stay.
The ala-carte breakfast buffet, available in-room or at the Dining Room, presented a high-quality dining affair. Despite a limited menu, standout dishes included Roti Canai (10/10) with flavorful chicken curry and Nasi Lemak (10/10) featuring an exceptional sambal. Watermelon juice proved a refreshing choice, and the homemade strawberry jam with the bread was a delightful surprise.
Cameron Highlands Resort offers a perfect retreat to unwind amid nature's beauty. While the stay was marred by minor inconveniences with the key card, the overall experience was superb, warranting a return for future restful escapes.

AAnonymous UserHad a great time at this boutique hotel. It’s relatively new and adopt a very interesting design concept. They only have 10 rooms I think. The landscaping around the hotel was really nice. The location of this place is in Tanah Rata, so it’s not as crowded as Brinchang, also it’s not as congested in terms of traffic. You only get one car park per room. It’s situated right at the end of the street, quite secluded and very private.
There’s no one waiting during check in, basically, you text a number and someone comes out to give you keys to your room and ask for breakfast selection for the following morning. All communication was done through the WhatsApp. We also asked for extra towels and shampoo, owners were very courteous and generous.
Felt very safe for my family with young children could just roam around freely. In terms of amenities, there’s no swimming pool or gym facilities. But there’s a place to do bbq and gather in the common area. They give you the auto gate lock if you were to drive out and come back late at night, you can allow yourself in and lock the gate yourself.
In the morning you can hear very loud bird chirping. The air was very fresh! But we were awoken by the loud noise of grass trimming from next door, some government office. There’s also a dormitory next door and you can hear evening prayers.
Nearby, there’s a lot of shops and restaurants whereby you will find no problems settling your meals, about 5 mins walk down to the Main Street.
Just a few things to note :
- There’s a lot of stairs and if you have elderly in your entourage, it is not very convenient getting to the room. You may ask for ground floor rooms of course. The stairs worked super well for my children though, they just enjoyed going up and down so much!
- We booked loft rooms. The toilet and bath tub is located next to the main door. It’s open concept, meaning if you were to take a shower at night or go to toilet, it’s going to be cold.
- The beds are on the top floor, so if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night, you have to walk down the stairs.
- The bathtub and shower design is not so convenient for young children or elderly.
- Breakfast comes in very cute tiffin boxes. They place it outside your door around 8 plus. However, I always couldn’t catch their delivery on time, and most times the food is rather cold already.
Overall, I still enjoyed my stay very much. I think would very suitable for young couples, and groups of young travelers.

I rode in from the rain ＞ asked for early check-in ＞ Receptionist called me a 115pm to let me know room was ready.
Managed to keep my stuff with bellboy whilst I went out to find breakfast and wait for room check-in
Bellboy helped bring my stuff to the room.
200RM deposit was returned to me in denominations of 50, when I had used 2 x 100RM notes ＞ I requested for this back and receptionist had to get manager approval before returning 2 x 100RM to me.
Can borrow umbrella from lobby if it's raining.
Facilties:
Bathtub is kids size, not adult size.
no massage services.
Carpark ＞ no motorbike parking lots.
Parking:
I ended up parking my Ducati Diavel Carbon, FBL 747S, in basement carpark cos security guard did not let me park outside lobby. (Even though Ducati Club Singapore managed to park there in May 2024 as well as open carpark lots below)
However later in the day, Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, FBG 38G, was allowed to park there.
Security guard said rider is from Kings Motorcycle Club ＞ I told security guard that Kings MC only rides harleys.
Security guard then says rider is VIP, and his boss approved the parking.
I questioned the receptionist ＞ they referred me to security ＞ I told receptionist what security said and receptionist could not do anything.
The rider left the next morning; I was having breakfast at the outdoor seating, could hear him start the bike, let the bike warm up, before riding off. (so ”noise” is not a valid reason for not parking there)
I came back to my motorbike to find it covered in dust and fluff, cos it was 7m away from the laundromat (I parked here cos there was another motorbike here and there are no motorbike lots in the basement carpark)
The whole reason for parking somewhere visible and in line of sight of Security, is for the security of the motorycycle. (There is a notice in the basement carpark that states parking at carpark is responsibility of owner, not the premises)
Breakfast: good spread and variety.

YYongen TanNow where do I start... There were many twists and turns before I finally decided on my stay at Rover's inn. Finally, after booking and cancelling several accommodations , I decided on this one.
Upon looking at the pictures and the price, I thought the entire experience of staying here was just going to be so-so.
But the entire experience really exceeded my expectations! Upon stepping foot into the hotel, I was greeted by the melody of soft jazz wafting into the lobby.
The owner warmly greeted me with a smile when I arrived at night, and he filled me in on the rules of the place.
Maybe it's because I've been staying amongst the hustle and bustle of Singapore for too long - but the quaint, quiet and peaceful surroundings of the hotel felt absolutely refreshing and peaceful.
I also really like the fact that the management makes it a point to make sure that noise is reduced to a minimum.
The hotel room turned out to be really spacious too, and for the price , it is really quite reasonable.
There is a lounge and a cute outdoor dining area for guests to consume their meals. Water, coffee and tea are also provided. In the lounge area, there are also some books that guests can read ☺️
I chose the classic - men are from Mars, women are from Venus.
On the last day of my stay, Jessie forgot to return me my deposit and she specially called me up to make arrangements so she could return me the money. Really thankful for her honesty.
Facilities wise, the only think I would really have wished could be included was a hair dryer! I couldn't find one and I really needed it to dry my hair.
But I guess the hotel management would need more income to upgrade their facilities ? For the price, I really can't complain.☺️
Another thing is the walls are kinda thin? So sometimes I can hear the other guests in other rooms which kinda disrupts my sleep. Other than that, I'm really satisfied with my entire experience here ♥️☺️☺️

AAi YingLocation: bit secluded but not too difficult to find with map and also there are signage along main road that you can look out for.
Clealiness: very clean and we love the design of the room. Our room came with a bed and sofa so enough for our family of 4 with 2 young kids. toilet is spacious and has storage space. our balcony faces the trees so not much view to see. Air is crisp, main building is a short walk from our room and not sheltered.
Service: excellent. the staff were great. we reached at the evening, did not do any pre-booking for their hotpot meal but we really wanted it for the cool night. the staff tried to accomodate and set up a table for us. though the location was right at the main lobby but at least we got our meal.
Facilities: they have a few activities at the hotel. we signed up for the walk around the resort. we did not imagine it to be a trek in the forest. Some areas were challenging as it was slippery. We did struggled a bit especially we have to carry my toddler in my arm when we are crossing certain areas. Otherwise it is really a great experience for my kids. The guide is really nice and he was keeping a look out and waiting for us, the group we are with also try to keep a lookout for one another and provide support. overall still a good experience just need to know what to expect.

GGuest UserThe hotel located nearby to shops and eatery. Driving may take 2-3 min. Despite the hotel looked old the facilities and room are well kept. The breakfast selection is satisfactory. It is worth the money staying here. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to cameron highland.

The hotel is very enviroment friendly which is great for clearing your mind and to have a relaxing holiday.The room has a lot of windows that gives you natural lighting and chilled night too.Unfortunately, the toiley does not have bidet but it has a different toilet bowl for cleaning.Besides, there's also not much channel on the tv as well as old fridge, the freezer dosen't work.It was full of ice.Lastly, this hotel is quite strict since you have to book the room according the number of your family members.Example, you have to book a family sized room for family of 4.Will come again for sure because its a very lovely and nice hotel!

GGuest UserWonderful hospitality. Met Mr. Bala. Kind compassionate elderly man. Treated us with special masala tea for my wife and I, and hot milo for my children - at no additional charge. Beautiful view and environment. Excellent food. We enjoyed breakfast, and the candle light dinner. We had to split a spaghetti meal for my two small kids. But the the ”split” meal came as if they were 2 individual meals - the portion was considerably large. Compassionate people. They are not particularly calculative about this. In fact they are very generous and accommodating. The place may seem eerie, the 2-storey chalet a little run down with little sound proofing - you can hear next door conversations. Besides that, this place is so quite, you will notice the buzz in your ears are so loud, it is surreal. Unlike smokehouse hotel and restaurant in tanah rata, Bala's is a wonderful and lasting memory.

KKakamalThis was our second stay, the previous ones was in 2013. We were staying at 1 bedroom apartment for RM157/night. Some reviews says that the rooms have been refurbished but what I noticed, it's only the bathroom. The previous warm lights have been replaced to white lights for entire units and makes it less cozy. Lack of tv channels, wifi like no existence but shower was good and the balcony is huge overlooking the farm. Superb location at Brinchang about 200m to Raju Hill Strawberry Farm, 400m to Pasar Kea Farm, 1km to Cameron Square and 4km to Boh Sg. Palas. Overall it is a good place to relax with cooling fresh air. Short retreat from busy life.
