My family and I have stayed here for 10+ years and we always come back. We went in 2020 and now again August 2022 - they recently made some upgrades to the bathrooms and floors (idk if it’s in all the rooms). It’s always clean, but I did take off one star because I believe that they didn’t change the sheets in the pull out couch. It is also in a good location, and at times my sister and I would walk across the street to the gas station for snacks. And the complementary breakfast is also pretty good and different (tortillas, eggs, beans, etc.). Overall, I highly recommend. It’s a clean hotel and although the prices have increased somewhat significantly lately, I will try to stay here again and again.

Good place, in rooms and on the territory clean, staff are polite. There is a swimming pool and barbecue area (+ volleyball area). We were settled without pre-saving at 4 a.m., which turned out to be a rescue for us 🧡 At surprise there was a good breakfast, more diverse than usual. Also note that they are settled with animals 🐈‍⬛ 🦮 From the downsides if it is not particularly strong in the shower, but it was excellent Internet ⭐️

As always, you can find this hotel at: 26.1877028,-97.7130822,19.12 THE GOOD: - The location may seem far from McAllen but it is at most 10 minutes on the highway. - There are many shops, malls, convenience stores and general services nearby. - It's well communicated - Clean and with many amenities in the rooms - Hot water was never lacking and with good pressure - Good number of TV channels - Functional parking - I never had a problem finding a parking space - Quick and efficient check in and check out - There is a walmart and a SAMS very close, you can even go on foot. - Being away from McAllen or the beach makes it a quiet place - I selected this hotel because it is very close to The Indios International Bridge THE BAD: - The hotel is a bit old - Has some details that require renovation or maintenance - There were some isolated electrical cables but on the carpet (photo) - Maybe a bit far from everything.

The hotel is so clean. The staff is nice. But the WiFi doesn't connect.

We stayed here one night. The manager gave us a free upgrade to a suite with a jacuzzi! The room was big. I was able to park right in front of my room. The manager said he was going to spoil us, and let us check out at 2 pm for free. The breakfast is really good, but green tea would be nice. This hotel highly recommended. You can’t go wrong, well maybe.

This is going to be straight to cut. I took off from office to travel to South Padre and being an IHG Member , paid through my precious points to be at ”The Resort”. Lobby was effective and felt that I am going to be at a great place. I had forgone my salary for the vacation. This is just to say that this is the amount of effort , money and time I spent for this holiday. Check-in was smooth and then the ordeal started. The front office manager told us that this property is not an IHG property and still conversion. The room assigned was super dirty , doors would not work , had an awful smell and it was worst than a motel. To top it , I was supposed to pay the resort fees. I just told them that I was not interested and for the next 4 hours in the property, I waited , called IGH helpline to be kept on wait. Nothing happened. Thirsty and distraught , the person on front office offered help in finding me another room and did whatever best he could. On my return , I called IHG again and was given 500 points to my account and no resolution. I need my points back which I spent for this stupid holiday. IHG - You really spoilt my vacation to the extent possible. Lastly , people at the property are excellent , helpful but they cannot change the awful and nasty property. Do not , for god sake , penalize people like this. If you intend to really respond , do tell me an email ID where I can send reservation details - give me my points back. At the same time , reasonably saying - I lost my hours , gas , effort and time . Equals out I have called your lines multiple times but unable to get someone - I am your customer and tired , I wrote on TripAdvisor.

Great experience. Customer Service excellent. Eddie, Liz, Jerry to name of few made you feel welcomed and comfortable. Eddie is the b est. Sports fan and friendly. I read a review that someone took issue with Eddie wearing a NFL Team Jersey during Super Bowl. That helped create a festive environment, as many in attendance work their team fav colors. The crowd was approximately 80/20 or 70/30 for the KC Chiefs. The one-off review is just that....off base & undeserved. Let Eddie keep dong what he is doing....just having fun, enjoying his job, and serving the people. Entire Staff & Mgt is superb.
