The Belmont Inn

Great location, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, very helpful and friendly owner and staff. Very happy and expect to return.

What a gem this B&B was! My husband and I visited Camden from DC for our friends' birthday weekend, our first weekend away after our second born arrived and Belmont Inn owner Kim helped make it a carefree, relaxing weekend. The Inn is beautifully appointed - as a rookie blue and white china collector myself, Kim's collection dazzled! Shout out to the [communal] mini fridge and ice maker in the hallway. As a breastfeeding mom, those two things helped me to store my milk comfortably. Breakfast was lovely - in addition to daily fresh fruit we enjoyed ginger scones, blueberry lemon bread, a sausage biscuit breakfast casserole and waffles with Maine blueberry compote (!) all served by friendly Catalina. AND perhaps one of its best features, the Inn is in walking distance to the delicious Cafe Louis Costa Media, Camden harbor, and all Camden has to offer. We are total B&B novices, having only stayed at one other B&B before and generally opting for hotels on the nicer end, but this experience left us feeling encouraged to seek them out more often. We are frequent visitors to Camden, living just a couple of hours away. This B&B gets very high reviews which is why we booked our stay there. We asked to switch our reservation to a later date due to an illness in the family. At first the innkeeper said yes, then quickly added she had to check with someone and that she's get back to us. We asked for the same exact room at a later date which she confirmed was available. She called back a few minutes later and said she could not change the date and that the cancellation policy states this. This is certainly not the way to do business. We will obviously not be booking another stay here again.

Inn keeper Kim is a gracious host providing unique breakfast fare and helpful advice on things to see & do. This is our fourth escape from much hoter Georgia weather. No disappointments, just good memories of one of our favorite Maine towns.

The Belmont Inn is the perfect location for a Camden stay. The inn is quiet on a quaint street just a few blocks from the waterfront and downtown. Each morning, we were served a fabulous breakfast of homemade pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, and an egg dish such as salmon frittata. Kim is a wonderful engaging host. The inn is beautiful! We loved the personal touch and will definitely be staying here again.

I wish we could have stayed longer. This house is so sweet, relaxing and just an all around gem. Kim was a wonderful host and breakfast was a-mazing. It was our first stay at a B&B and it was absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for a great time!
