Pins Platja Apartments

Based on 3star apartment, solo traveller. I selected 1 bedroom apartment & pain upgrade for sea view, well worth £40 week. 2 single beds in bedroom pull out sofa bed in lounge area. Bathroom with bath & shower over, sink & loo, little tired but adequate.Very well equipped kitchen, lots pots pans, cutlery, 2 ring hob, microwave, family sized fridge freezer, provided with washing up liquid scrubbing sponge & micro fibre cloth, 2 teas towels changed with towel change, towel change every 3 days, sheets once per week on Saturdays, apartments are in 2 blocks 1 beach side one over the road, definitely worth checking, in main block not beach side is the reception, restaurant and bar, here is the large pool & good size kiddie pool, beach side has reasonable size jacuzzi and outdoor gym, plenty of sun beds either side. Michaelangelo supermarket on site. Very good bus service, markets most day either good walk or bus it, plenty of restaurants and bars, easyish walk to Salou or Cambrils town lovely tapas bars on marina in Cambria's, Cambrils nice & quiet side as expected Salou little busier, beach & sea amazing, bike hire, near trampolines & kiddie bungee on beach outside apartments. I travelled May & was very quiet until last 2 nights when started to get busier & noise travel though beach side apartments from bar/restaurant attached I will definitely go again as solo traveller felt very safe & relaxed. Wi-Fi for me perfect no issue at all, no English TV Chanel’s, speaking to others in same area, same for some reason no choice for English Chanel’s, TBH not really problem for me. I didn’t use on-site restaurant as I’d planned lazy DIY hols, had I lunch in Cambrils seafood platter .. awesome. Stayed for 2 weeks solo self catering & spent less than €200 that included litre Gin, Cava & red wine & pair of beach shoes( my sketchers flip flops died a death) & of course food, package holiday with Jet2, & would use again.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The WiFi never worked!! The door keys failed more times than they worked! The pool was freezing and if you’re bringing the kids floats not allowed. No food after 4pm . No activities for children or adults. Very quite . In may this year only a few people lying out in loungers. The only thing positive is the friendly staff However, no cleaning of rooms and you have to empty your own rubbish in the outside bins. No changing beds only drop new towels once in the week. The decor very dated with bits falling off. The bathroom tiny with only one mirror.

situated on a really nice part of the villa Fortuna beach in Salou. the pins plata has a nice pool with one or two restraunts attached and regular events for kids. The commercial part of salou is a 15 minute cycle. #ramblingstampcollectors

This is a wonderful place to stay if you like a peaceful holiday. The apartments are spacious with everything you need. Excellent shower and a/c. Pool area is lovely never too busy and loads of sunbeds no matter what time you turn up. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The area surrounding is quiet but there are a few bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The beach is just across the road. Supermarket just next door. It would probably be a great place to stay with a very young family. Bus stops outside one way to salou the other way to cambils neither are very far away. We also caught bus to tarragona which was about 50 minutes away and a nice day out. I would stay here again and highly recommend.

Large apartments right near a beautiful beach pool is fab Could do with a better wifi connection especially with no entertainment for the kids on an evening We will still comeback next year though as we fell in love with the location

Stayed fron 2 sept till 16th sept Appartment is in need of a very good update some kitchen cupboard doors hanging off tap in kitchen is full of scum beds are really uncomfortable lucky lucky men annoying and persistent thats the downside Positives Really spacious balcony fantastic view of the sea 50mtrs away bars and shops on the front door Would i stay here again NO

The studios on basement floor are unacceptable, not clean , water with weird smell and too much humidity which brings to mold .. (u can even see spots on the roof). We asked and we have been told the room was ok. Close to the beach anyway

We enjoyed our stay. Family of 4 in a 2 bedroom apartment. The location was perfect 4 us. The beach is just over the road. If you turn left on the beach path,it takes you to Salou, if you turn right it takes you to Cambrils. Both long walks but beach bars on the way if you need a rest. Enough restaurants within in walking distance. We ate at the rugby tavern just over the road every day for lunch. The menu was really good and the staff lovely. For evening meals we went to Molly Malones. Tomahawk steakhouse which was incredible, we also went to a Mexican and an Indian restaurant. You can catch the number 2 bus to Portaventura every half hour. Not so easy getting back though. We had to get the bus to Salou and a 2nd bus back to the hotel. It was nice to see Salou though. A bit too busy for us l. The rooms are basic but adequate. We had no coat hangers though which was annoying. For the location alone this hotel is worth booking if you enjoy a slower pace when on Holiday. Don't expect luxury but if like us your room is where you sleep and shower it is a good choice.

Excellent accomodation. Minutes from the beach. Good facilities, we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for when travelling with teenage girls. They had a room with two single beds and with a lounge and kitchen area and balcony there was plenty of space for all of us. The light in one of the bedrooms was not working on arrival but they sorted this out promptly while we were out. There is a supermarket right outside the apartments which was very useful for buying breakfast bits. The pool area is lovely too opening hours are 10am-8pm. The only criticism is that the rooms needed to have mirrors in and also a full length mirror would be useful as the only mirror was in the bathroom. Also room service only happened once during our 5night stay but this was not really an issue for us. All in all a good place to stay if you require more space with a family.
