"The room was in good condition, with photos and quotes related to Oscar Wilde's works, creating a very cultural atmosphere. The hotel's first floor is a coffee bar with a very romantic decor. It's nice to walk around the hotel. The city center location makes shopping very convenient. Five stars recommended."
"Fabulous stay in a great location. Only 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre.
The staff are incredibly helpful and polite.and the rooms have everything you could possibly wish for.
Breakfast was amazing with so many choices and quality items available.
Highly recommended and looking forward to returning."
"The hotel looks very high-end and the facilities are good. However, the hair dryer in the room is extremely dirty and the handle is sticky. The shower water flow is very small."
"Super new and super nice apartment, everyone remember to call them before, we stayed in the morning, on the top floor, the room is very new and the equipment is also very good, there are breakfast bread, butter, milk and juice, the bathroom is very good, still white company Bath products"
"I stayed at the Holiday Inn Cambridge during my visit – tucked away in a very quiet, wooded area outside the city. While it offered a peaceful environment and a decent breakfast to start the day ☕🍳, the location felt quite remote – especially at night, when it was eerily silent and surrounded by trees. 🌌🌳
The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and all the basics covered. Just a heads-up: it’s quite a distance from central Cambridge, so be sure to plan your travel accordingly, especially if you're not driving.

"Great location, not too busy and short walk over the bridge to great cafes. Good value compared to hotels. Loads of great places nearby for breakfast. For something different and delicious try Dishoom."
"The room is suitable for extended stays. Housekeeping is only provided once a week, but amenities can be replenished upon request. There's a large supermarket conveniently located nearby. Getting to the city center requires a bus, and no complimentary tickets are offered. The bedding quality was quite basic. Please be aware that there are dogs on the premises, which might be a concern for guests with allergies."
"Hotel located outside Cambridge. Transportation is convenient even if it is a little far from the center.
Quiet environment in residential area, very clean and clean without tickle
Perfect dormitory. Very kind and detailed about the surroundings and traffic. You can use the public kitchen, and you can have a simple meal, bread, coffee drinks, yogurt, milk jam, etc.
It's a perfect hotel."

CCarcar IpThe hotel staffs are excellent included the check in staff, swimming pool receptionist, restaurant staffs, and the cleaner,I left my mobile phone when check out,I went to my car to search and when I returned to the lobby,a staff holding my phone and wait for me there.Grateful to them made my term break trip so impressed and will definitely go back if I had holidays, highly recommend
Ppeter nutbrownThis accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away.
The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.
LLeeeeeee9999Can’t beat the location — super convenient and close to everything I needed. That said, it felt a bit overpriced for what you actually get. The place was decent, but nothing really stood out to justify the higher cost. If location is your top priority, it’s a solid pick, but otherwise, there might be better value elsewhere.
GGuest UserMixed Experience – Some Great Aspects but Room for Improvement
We recently stayed at the Novotel Cambridge North and had a mixed experience. The hotel has a lot going for it—modern facilities, a good location just north of the city centre, and excellent breakfast options that really stood out. The pool area is great for kids, and the sauna and jacuzzi were enjoyable touches that added value to our stay.
However, there were a few letdowns. While staff were generally friendly, some follow-through was lacking—for example, we requested dressing gowns and slippers, and refills of the shower gel and shampoo which were promised but never delivered.
The hotel uses a strange single-use key card system for the leisure facilities, which caused repeated issues. Cards were frequently deactivated, leaving guests locked out of the pool and gym areas. We often had to rely on others to let us in, or vice versa, which became frustrating.
Also worth noting: there is no on-site parking available, which should be clearly stated in advance for future guests.
Overall, the hotel offers decent value for money, especially for families, and the convenient public transport links (bus and train) make it easy to get into the city. With some improvements in service and clearer communication, this could be an excellent place to stay
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I could ask for. The location was perfect—close to local attractions yet quiet and peaceful for a good night’s rest. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Very Good
BBumblebee06I had a lovely 2-night stay at the Hyatt Centric Cambridge. The hotel was very clean, and the room was well-equipped with amenities such as still water, milk, coffee, tea, a mini fridge, an iron, and an ironing table.
A standout feature was the complimentary 24-hour Whippet bus tickets provided on our first day, which made getting around Cambridge easy. The hotel is about 15 minutes by bus from the city centre and conveniently located near a large Sainsbury’s.
Another great feature was the in-room entertainment. You can easily broadcast your phone to the TV by connecting to the hotel’s Wi-Fi, allowing you to watch your favourite shows on apps like Netflix seamlessly.
The customer service was excellent. When I arrived early to drop off my luggage, they generously offered me a free early check-in at 9:30 AM instead of the usual 3 PM. On my last day, I unfortunately became unwell after brunch at the hotel restaurant. The hotel handled the situation professionally, issuing a full refund for the meal. To further assist, they kindly provided additional bus tickets to help make my journey home more comfortable.
Overall, despite this incident, I was very impressed with the hotel’s cleanliness, amenities, and exceptional service. I would still recommend Hyatt Centric Cambridge for a pleasant and well-managed stay.
GGuest UserTravelodge wouldn’t have been a bad memory except for TRIP that made it a horrible one for me , I definitely sure this would be my last dealing with them.
Here is my ordeal with Travelodge and TRIP.com, on arriving the hotel I discovered the hotel has no air conditioning and it was terribly hot in London, I immediately notified the hotel of my intention to check out which they agreed to and are willing to give me a refund , unfortunately the TRIP customer service kept going round and round with the situation inorder for them to make me finish my stay at the hotel even with the fact that I complained it wasn’t comfortable, to be honest the hotel did their best to ensure I get my refund but trip messed everything up, there was practically nothing they didn’t do to make sure I didn’t check out even when someone from the hotel spoke with them about their willingness to give me a refund this is the hotel Ass. Manager ( Mrs Gosia) .
I had a very terrible experience with trip and it is definitely going to be my last . I couldn’t sleep most of the night because of the terrible heat at night thanks to trip.
😞
NNBWDespite the slightly tired looking exterior, this is an excellent choice if you want a hotel in Cambridge, with parking, and walking distance to the city centre. Our room was on the ground floor but facing the rear and was very peaceful. The room is quite small but everything worked, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the shower water pressure was fantastic.
Breakfast, included in our package, was very very good. Plenty of choice and the cooked food was served on piping hot plates. Best of all, Jackie and Jan, the two wonderful ladies who served us. Actually they did more than serve, they made our breakfast memorable and warm. I hope these two ladies are well regarded by the hotel management, as we really want to return based upon their personal and very welcoming characters. Lovely, lovely ladies.
In case you didn’t realise, we thoroughly recommend this hotel.

AAndrew from SporeWas visiting a relative so needed a convenient place. My priority is cleanliness. Am coming from Asia / Tropics so was apprehensive over heat and non-aircon. Room was a bit warm but it cools at night esp if you leave window open. I had a handheld fan which served my purpose - I had it on the whole night to cool me. My room was on 3rd floor so it meant I had to climb 2 flights of steps each time I went up. With heavy luggage, this cld be a problem. The room was otherwise, clean, quaint and comfortable. Some may say small & old but that I didn’t mind. Small window overlooking the river and park - nice. Bathroom was small and shower if you are big, you won’t fit in. Otherwise clean. Surprised they provided daily breakfast which was simple but sufficient. Location is 10 mins walk from the city center. I walked to the train stn - that took me 40 mins. I love walking so enjoyed the walks to town and the open country (following the river away from the town centre). I stayed 2 nights; 1st ~ 56 quid and 2nd nite ~75 quid. Great value.
