Why call it a Beach Hotel when you can not even see the sea or beach from there? You have to cross a busy road, a huge car park, and clamber over sand dunes before catching a glimpse of the waves. The hotel itself is cute, set up like a cosy bungalow. Staff is friendly. Dinner was a letdown though. The menu was a bit dull – nothing stood out, felt like we had tasted it all before. It would have been great to have something new and exciting, especially on a special weekend break. Grabbing an outdoor table was a first-come first-serve, but the staff seemed MIA. We had to pop into the bar ourselves to let them know most tables were taken, and no one had drinks! Same was for re-ordering drinks! The same story unfolded when we asked for the dessert and coffee menu. We got handed the menu but then got forgotten about – no one swung by to take our order. Ended up settling the bill inside and heading off..
