The hotel is nice but the stuff, at least the employees in the night of 24-25 april 2024 were absolutely arrogant, indifferent, with bad manners&attitude, not professional at all, the most unwelcomed receiving in my life.. We payed for a triple but our child’s not even that was not ready at 2 o clock in the night, but they didn t have the cover and the rest to prepare it so they left us with no bed that night.. Other downside is the fact that we didn t get the invoice though I called every day for 10 days and sent 10 emails to ask them nicely to send us the invoice.. inly after 2 weeks I got it.. The hotel itself is not bad at all, nice breakfast, room ok, the gym- very nice. But the services.. no comment.

Location: Calvia beach is about 16km from Palma, bordering an area called Magaluf that could be called the Pattaya of the island. While we felt the need to keep the kids away from the seediest parts, there's a lot of decent restaurants and areas too. Calvia itself is U-shaped and ordinary - not very long, and surrounded (absolutely no more land to spare) by hotels and resorts. If you're looking for an idyllic getaway, this is not the place to stay. The hotel: great if you're looking for a resort-like feel with a focus on food and drinks, or travelling with friends or a family looking for fun & lots of people. There's a direct access to the beach which is very helpful. But do remember this is a decent 4-star hotel, not a 5. • The rooms: We stayed at the Level, a much-hyped set of room types for exclusivity. We’re glad we did with a small differential, but had mixed feelings at the end, for reasons explained below. The check-in process for these rooms is at a different area, with a gushing 20-minute introduction which could be shortened. • Be aware that rooms are not typically sea-facing, in the sense that they do face the sea, but you’re on stem of a U, a line of sight that takes in a cove with other clunky hotels in the distance. The expansive sea itself, with a beautiful island in the distance, is visible only diagonally if you stand outside in your balcony. • The rooms itself were very modern, the air conditioning worked very well. No serious complaints except some minor ones: 2 light switches (connected to small ceiling lights) not working, cobwebs on the frame just behind the headrest of the bed, common over-engineering problems: no plug points for the tea/coffee machines in the cabinet they came with (necessiating moving them near the bed headrest, the only places with a plugpoint), all sorts of infusion-flavoured teabags available except black tea. • The stopper of the sink continuously needing to be pulled up to avoid the sink filling up. • The sofa that turned into a bed was old and rusty, often needed to be adjusted. • The pillows were a pain – long, high and hard. • The wifi was great. Rooms on the Level: these come with access to a steady supply of titbits throughout the day. Between 1700-1800 hrs there's free booze too. It was edifying to see how many exclusive guests took time from their holiday itineraries to be present during this hallowed time. Breakfast: Fabulous (the best part of staying at the Level, though the other may have been as good). Eggs to order and very polite, helpful staff. Other meals: They have a nice buffet spread for dinner which costs €35, children heavily discounted. There were evening programmes for the kids but we didn’t attend any. Facilities: one small indoor pool, the rest outside, and one shared with a neighbouring hotel. A good, pricey spa and modern gym.

Back at the Melia Calvià Beach. The hotel has a great location on the end of Magaluf beach, near enough to the ***** but far enough away to be calm. We come back each year at least once to either a normal of Level room, each has its own benefits although room 825 with a lateral view this time is great. Great staff, good breakfast and great location will keep us coming back

My stay at the beachside Melia Calvia was delightful, thanks to the exceptional service and amenities. The staff, especially Ms Tatania and the Manager at the front desk, was incredibly helpful and courteous. Additionally, the club activities for children, overseen by Rommi and the attentive staff, were a highlight for my child. Their dedication and enthusiasm made each day fun and memorable. The Facilities at the level lounge were amazing, Our room was upgraded to 'The Level Suite Sundeck from' 'The level premium sea view' with a very small amount. I truly appreciated the excellent customer service and the engaging activities provided. We can't wait to return for another wonderful experience!" Sarver&Geetanjali

Melia have exceeded my expectations yet again. I did not think it could get better than last years experience in Tenerife however from the moment of arrival until the second we left we have been spoilt / pampered and treated with the ultimate service at the Melia Clavia Beach. I really must say a special mention to 3 staff members that stood out. Tatiana from the first welcoming smile and welcome to the goodbye she made this holiday amazing for us nothing was too much trouble and an exceptionally competent staff member Melia should be proud of! Pablo (activities team) such an asset and a nice guy, super welcoming and helpful again an asset for Melia and Carlos the resturant manager what a lovely person and again an asset. There are many more I could mention from the very nice chambermaids to others on reception, in the restaurant and the amazing welcome note, wine, fresh fruit etc from the management. We were totally spoilt from start to end. Everything was spotless, the hotel is near everything and there is not a bad thing I can think of about this hotel and early season break in Mallorca. Thank you all and hope to see you again soon.

Absolutely disappointed with my experience at Melia Calvia Beach hotel in Mallorca. The incompetence of the reception staff led to an hour-long wait just to get my room key. When I finally reached my room, the nightmare continued. Despite multiple attempts to contact the guest contact center, it took six tries before anyone bothered to answer. And the room service? A disaster. I ordered a hamburger only to receive something that resembled a culinary crime scene. Would you feed this to your child? To top it off, the room was filthy, with stains so pervasive that even my socks suffered. Forget about slippers—they couldn’t even manage basic cleanliness. My stay was not just disappointing; it was downright unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this establishment. In my opinion It's dead investment with this quality.

We had junior suite and room was well laid out and bed comfy with good air conditioning. Mini bar is well stocked and it’s not too eye watering prices. Rooms not well insulated though and lots of kid noise early in the morning and doors banging from the towels on bed folks from 6am is very disturbing. The crying kids are almost constant in the morning and you can hear upstairs running across the floor. TV stuck to the floor blocking out the view completely from the bed was just a terrible decision as view from hotel is spectacular. This needs changed. We had a Level room which means you get separate area for pool, beach and breakfast. They have afternoon cocktails 4-5 and free soft drinks and coffee all day. Drinks and snacks Quality is very good. Check in at the level was chaotic, too many people checking in and process is amazingly laborious despite us checking in online before hand. I felt bad for the poor girl checking us in as she had to deal with us , the crappy system plus a couple of impatient Spanish folk wanting to book sun beds for the next day who simply must have it done now and a terrible lady from somewhere in ME who was demanding to be seen immediately despite just arriving. Poor girl was all on her own at around midday on a Saturday. Peak arrival time….. Beds at the level area were impossible to procure, always towelled up and often unoccupied. We gave up after 3 days and it’s no holiday getting up at 6am for a bed. This is of course poor manners from other guests as much as anything. We in the end booked cabana beds daily and that system worked well with nice team of lads at the beach. It’s 60euro a day for doubles and 15 for single. Budget for this and avoid the towel brigade. Beach service for drinks and food is available. There is a level only area at the beach but it’s booked up early and again busy with towels only much of the day. Needs better management as guests are clearly too selfish to do it reasonably. The level pool area was filled with families with young kids so there is an almost constant cacophony of screaming and crying. We’d somehow thought the level thing was adult only, it’s definitely not so if you are looking for a quiet time it can’t be here. The whole complex is a unit of 3 hotels and multiple pools / sunbathing areas. It’s big but It somehow works and even the music was actually good and lively. Breakfast was good in the level and in main dining area where a separate Level part is set out. Drinks and food was good at the beach and 50euro Cloudy bay Sauvignon hard to resist. No one is going to Magaluf for a quiet time but this isn’t really a couples resort IMO. Management need to put some cushioning on the doors or slow down the auto close spring as a priority. Towels on beds needs management as it’s just a joke but this is down to guests being selfish. Taxis from hotel can be difficult as it is overall in Mallorca. 20-30 minute waits possible. Watch out for people stealing your booked taxi a

I requested 2 separate duvets and additional pillows. Nothing was done when I entered the room. All pool chairs are occupied from 6.30 am with towels and nobody using until 10.30 and sometimes until 12 am. Babies screaming all day No peace and quiet possible! The beach level is not serviced. Low staff at breakfast in the Level area. Waiting time up to 25 minutes for A la carte orders. Drunken tourists coming back to the room between 2.30 and 5.30 am. Impossible for a good sleep. The doors close too loudly and are very poorly insulated. For guests looking for relaxation and adequate guest experiences this hotel is absolutely out of place. I definitely not recommend.
