Very good location and facilities are outstanding however quite noisy in the evenings with being near the BCM Club

Just back from a great family holiday in Oct half term,all staff worked hard,everywhere was clean,lots to do & lovely beach nearby,we went in the theme park everyday,crazy golf & upside down house our favourites but enjoyed all the park had to offer.Splashzone & soft play worked on a session basis but gave plenty of time in both,both large & small pools were well manned with lifeguards,some of our party were especially delighted as Strongbow was on draught in main bar & pool bar🍻lots of choice for food & each night was themed,cakes were the best Iv ever had,very tasty & proper slices,lots of sweets & fruit too & self serve ice cream ,entertainment was very good some nights,there was a candy floss machine which for a small price,you could choose your own design/flavour,fabulous . My only negative was the queueing system at the evening meal,one long queue formed & took 10-15 mins to complete & maybe the children’s disco could be improved but having said this we had a great holiday & would 100% recommend for families, Well done to all the staff👏

Sol Katmandu is a fantastic place for families. We were only there for four days but managed to spend every waking minute inside the resort chilling out and having fun. The splash park and Upside Down house were brilliant - managed most of the attractions two or three times. The only minor downside was the evening entertainment. We had three children aged 12-14, and once the pool and attractions had closed, they were bored. The kids entertainment is aimed more at younger children. Maybe it's just the time of year, but we are definitely looking at coming back during the summer holidays very soon! The food and drink was amazing. Different dishes every day. Was a little confused with the rules of the pool area - we were told that food isn't allowed within 1 metre of the pool, yet we were sat about 15 metres from the pool and still wasn't allowed to take food to our sunbeds...yet there were a small minority of people that seemed to do this without being challenged. That said, we will definitely be back!

Overall a disappointing experience. Food: Pro -breakfast had a good selection Con - food poisoning twice, 2 different members of our party on different nights - large cockroach found near deserts station -deserts were often still frozen -breakfast only opens at 8am Rooms: Pro -clean Con -booked a family room but had no bath, not ideal when trying to bath a baby. -no tea and coffee facilities, had to request a kettle and buy bottled water to make bottle for baby -no space to walk around beds comfortably -bedding had holes in Facilities Pro -splash park is fun -kids loved the additional attractions -kids well cared for at the softplay Con -pool does not open till 10am, not great for kids who get up early - no tea coffee drink facilities before 8am -nowhere to get a drink between 6pm and 7pm before dinner -pools are small and overcrowded, hard to secure a sunbed

Location is excellent and in the centre of all the restaurants, beaches and all Magaluf has to offer. The hotel is ok. Pool is complete over crowded. Food is absolutely shocking. We went to breakfast once and ate out every other day and night. Bedsheets not changed. Would not return.

Just got back from a week here as a family of 6.. ages 12,11,6 & 2 and there was plenty for each of them to do. We arrived at 3am and was very tired after travelling, on arrival at the hotel the receptionist asked us for our holiday voucher, which we didn’t have (as we wasn’t given one) he was asking us to connect to WiFi and show him our voucher and kept repeating this, we explained we didn’t have one and showed him our confirmation on the app and emails. After 35 mins he finally let us have our wrist bands and said we must come back tomorrow to show him our voucher! Not the best start to holiday but after that it was all good… We rang easy jet who said they don’t provide vouchers and they took care of speaking to the hotel about it. Food: the snack bar could do with some improving, not much choice, some days burgers, other days hot dogs. Would be better if there was more variety. The main food hall was lovely, always a great amount to choose from and fabulous themed nights of food choices. 8:00-11:00 breakfast 13:00-15:00 lunch 18:30-22:00 tea Room: was lovely and clean, the wardrobe was a tad small for 3 of us but it wasn’t the end of the world. Beds were very comfortable. Shampoo/conditioner and shower gel provided. Pool: fantastic! If you try get a sun-bed before 10am and leave it to go to breakfast or whatever then the lifeguards will take your towels as they can’t be reserved. After 10am it is fine and you can do what you want. I absolutely loved this as it stops those that reserve a bed round the pool from leaving it all day selfishly until the afternoon like most places. Don’t worry about packing swim nappies for your babies, the hotel provide them. Out of 7 days the pool closed 3 times due to children being sick or taking a poo in the pool, other than that it was fab! Entertainment/kids club; I was a bit dubious about allowing my 6 year old to go to the kids club as I don’t like not being able to see her however you can see the kids club room, they wear coloured vests so the staff know who is with them, they ensure you sign your child in and out, ask where you’ll be and your phone number too, my 6 year old absolutely loved it. 8:30pm is the kids disco, it was OK music was a little quiet for them to really get into it. 9:30 is evening entertainment. Overall what a fantastic first holiday abroad for us as a family, our children loved it & so did we. It is constantly being cleaned, it is very well kept and everything about it was just lovely! Worth booking here for sure.

This hotel is amazing!! Staff are very friendly and constantly doing the rounds cleaning. We stayed in a family room with a Juliette balcony (the blue coloured windows underneath the hotel name at the front of the hotel) my girls had to share a sofa bed which I wouldn't have fancied sleeping on but they slept fine. The normal beds are very comfy and the Aircon is great, just make sure the doors are closed for it to work. We overlooked a nightclub but heard no noise with the doors closed and slept soundly each night. Food options were varied and always hot and quick to replenish. The best night by far was Chinese/Japanese evening. The snack bar was the same daily (burgers, hot dogs, chips, toast and pastries) but with all inclusive you can go as much as you like. So much to do on site for kids, the splash pool was fantastic for my 5 and 7 year old, we could sit in a deckchair and let them play on the slides. Soft play is huge and you can drop and go which I didn't realise. It's a very good secure set up, they get given a numbered bib and you get a receipt, I was happy to leave them but they were not so happy to be left so no peace was had unfortunately! Kids club was the same, despite the staffs best efforts mine wouldn't go. Upside down house is great fun, we went in multiple times a day, along with the other rides onsite which are included - we upgraded for €15 each for unlimited minigolf and laser challenge. Kids disco was 8.30 each night with the yeti mascot photos, followed by a different show from 9.30. This was my girls first holiday abroad and we loved every minute of it. We wouldn't hesitate to return to such a wonderful hotel and will cherish our memories forever!

We had an exceptional stay, and I would recommend the all-inclusive option for those traveling with children. We visited during the school half-term with my family, and it was undoubtedly our best trip yet. The children were continuously entertained, from the kids' club to the soft play area, theme park and various evening activities. The experience offered fun for all ages, and the staff were wonderful. A special thanks to the manager, who was outstanding. My husband was feeling under the weather, and the manager thoughtfully provided some delightful snacks and a gift. Our visit was in April, and my children still reminisce about their time there.

We have just returned home from a 6 day stay in Sol Katmandu. After reading some of the mixed reviews beforehand I was a bit nervous as to what our experience would be like, however there was definitely no need to be nervous. It was an amazing holiday from start to finish . We went as a family of 3-2 adults and our 4 years old son. Everyone was so friendly and the hotel was extremely clean. I read a lot of negative reviews about the rooms but our room was lovely. Not massively spacious but we weren’t in it that often so that wasn’t an issue. We had a room on the 8th floor with a sea view and balcony overlooking part of the pool area. We never heard any noise at night when we came home after the entertainment. There was so much there to keep our son entertained from the pool games, the soft play, the splash park and the different 3d movies/games. He was never bored. I would definitely recommend this resort to others with young children. The pool bar was always very chilled and had lots of different snacks available throughout the day. All the staff were so friendly. The breakfast buffet was great-loads of options. Dinner was probably the only slight downside. Not many healthy options for my son and my partner is a vegetarian, there didn’t seem to be too many options for him. However that being said this didn’t in anyway affect our time there as we did lots of snacking during the day at the snack bar. All in all this is an amazing resort and we had a wonderful time.
