Innside by Meliá Calviá Beach

Very nice place

The good points, nice size room, good breakfast selection, very clean, nice staff The bad points the pool area- pool is absolutely freezing , there are 70 plus beds reserved for an out side company, i booked & paid for a beach front setting, why would I pay to sit on a roof top and look the other way as this is where the hotel guests beds are located, there are few facing the beach but still not front row, we were Rudely asked to move, I complained twice and nothing happened, the music at the pool is horrific, it’s got an odd word in and it’s just a beat, we had to spend a lot of time at the beach as it just was an awful experience sitting at that pool, I would not Recommend this hotel at all, it also advertises beach front hotel, it’s not on the beach but set back

We stayed in the junior suite room due to our other hotel being unbearably hot with no aircon and the beds were so uncomfortable, we stayed for two nights and over my birthday. Check in took a while due to the amount waiting but it was just past 3pm so presume it’s the busiest time to check in. The room was spotless, air con was brilliant, beds super comfy and the TV had phone mirroring so netlix etc available. On my birthday the staff left a birthday card and bottle of rosé in our room. The breakfast is also very nice! Only complaint is both nights we were woken up so did not have the best rest, one night was from loud unexplained noises just past midnight, the other night was the hotel staff ringing us saying someone has complained our TV was too loud at 1am although we had been asleep since 11pm and no TV was on, could only presume they got the wrong room as the receptionist did say a different name to ours? Overall, was a nice stay, just a shame both nights we were awoken early hours of morning.

Just come back from a lovely 4 days in magaluf with my partner to celebrate our birthdays. The hotel is beautiful and location is perfect :) Pool area is gorgeous and such an amazing view. Only thing I would say is the reserved beds are very expensive, €40 PP and high season €60PP. They were always empty and from a business point of view if they did them say €25 PP it would actually make them money as people would pay that. The main loungers are nice and they provide towels which is great. Weather in may can be on and off and defo bring a jacket for evening as it’s cool. Rooms were cleaned every day. The lifts were a bit odd to as you had to take a certain lift to get to the pool area. All in all we had a great time and would defiantly return to this hotel.

I had a Room on the 5th Floor with a sizeable Balcony and a Sea View. The room was well appointed and decorated to a high standard. Shower was wonderful with a Rainfall Head and a normal one both with good pressure. There were free soft drinks provided each day in a small fridge in the room. No Tea and Coffee making facilities unfortunately. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of hot and cold items and an alfresco dining option. Beach was a short walk and plenty of shops in close proximity and takeaway outlets/restaurants.

The pools at the top are really nice but needs some cleaning of the glass wall. The ocean view side is now rented out to a company so you need to rent the lounges if you want to have a sea view this was fully accessible at no charge previous years. Staff do not speak good English. Rooms are nice and well equipped AC working a treat. Nice balcony size and good view. Can be noisy but good for party type people. Not many option for food and sometimes food was not tasty. Brekkie was fine.

We booked this hotel as we saw the photos on their website of the amazing rooftop pool. Unfortunately I hadn't read the reviews on Trip Advisor before we booked a non refundable room rate. As the other reviews say, more than half of the rooftop space (and by far the better half with the sea views) is a private beach club and if you want to use the sun loungers here you have to pay and extra €20 per day (more in high season). This was not mentioned on the hotel website. And if I am paying to stay at a hotel I expect to be able to use the pool area without an extra charge. The sunbeds for the hotel guests are uncomfortable and hard and shoved into the back half of the rooftop. There were not enough beds for the number of guests. The beds you had to pay for were always empty. We didn't see anyone there the whole time. As the pool was the whole reason we chose the hotel, I would have scored it much lower. The redeeming features were that the room was nice, and we could use the pool at the Melia South Beach nearby which was lovely. The pool didn't open until 10am top which was a pain as we usually get up and go to the pool much earlier. At South Beach we could get a lounger from 8.30. Huge queue at check in, meant we waited 45 minutes to get to the desk. Next time I would chose a different hotel. The room didn't have a kettle which was annoying. And breakfast didn't start until 8 which I feel was a bit late.
