Calverton Hotels with Swimming Pools

I always choose this hotel and absolutely love it here. Needless to say I definitely will be staying here again. My children, husband and I just love it, from the pool to the beds to the gym area to the numerous lounge areas to the complementary breakfast. Which may I also say that the breakfast is amazing and they offer a huge variety of breakfast foods that all are very delicious...

The surroundings are desolate and there is no public transportation. It is hard to find a place to eat. At the front desk, there was a fat woman wearing glasses who was very arrogant. She stayed for two days and brushed me twice for pre-authorization. The pre-authorization was not returned after 4 days of departure!

We had reserved three nights (using points and certificates, so reserved each night separately) and upon check-in realized we probably needed to cancel the 3rd night. I asked the clerk for confirmation that we needed to do so by 6PM of the day before. She responded ”No, you must do so 3 days in advance.” I showed her my confirmation email which clearly stated that cancellation is required by 6 PM of the day before. She simply kept repeating that at this hotel, the policy is 3 days in advance. Her unpleasant attitude and incorrect information (contradicting the written contract with our reservation) put a pallor on what was otherwise a decent stay. Since we are platinum members, we did receive an upgrade to a ”suite” which is a larger room with a sofa area. The room was nice enough except it faced the highway so there was some noise, which didn't bother me since I always wear earplugs.
