Disapointed that on arrival, we were given a piece of paper, (which we did not read until day 2), advising that the room would not be serviced daily, (by that time I had put the towels on the floor to be changed) only if you stayed for over a week then your room would be serviced after day 3 or 4, you can ask for clean towels but at a charge. Also you must remove rubbish and put it in the garbage room shute on leaving, otherwise your credit card would be charged. I have never experienced this in any hotel/motel, even 2-3 stars, resort any where else in the world. We stayed 4 days, on day 3 my husband asked for more toilet paper and clean towels, husband asked why our room had not been serviced, we were told, it was a studio appartment, reception was quite flippant, but agreed to the request, although did not replace either, had to go ask a second time, told we did not have to pay for the clean towels.

Booked in April, 2 weeks after booking renovations started, was not advised of renovations until 3 days prior to stay, was advised work was only Monday to Friday, they started work at 6am Saturday morning. No access to pool or BBQ facilities, no offer of compensation or anything.

We chose this Motel as it was the only accommodation in this area where we needed to stay that was pet friendly. With that said we enjoyed our 2 night stay, the room was well presented and clean.. No doubt the style of room is typical of those older motel rooms you see in the movies but its presented in a way that gives it a more modern day feel.. The location of the motel is brilliant being only a block back from the beach, waterfront cafes, beach front parks and walkways. Best for us right there is also the off the leash beach for dogs just perfect.. The motel is on a main road and corner of Moffat Beach that is quite busy so we thought it could be a bit noisy for sleeping. But for us we had a great nights sleep which could have been due to the very comfortable bed but more likely the travelling and chasing our dog up and down the beach. If there was a down side for staying at this motel it would the car parking is extremely tight and the walls of the motel are a bit thinner than motels built today so you can hear a little bit of noise from other rooms.. But you pay for what you get...

We arrived before reception closed (as advertised) but unfortunately had closed early due to Covid. Have the on-site manager a call who directed us to a key safe where we got our key and all of the information we need. Our room was modern, lovely, quiet and overlooked the lake. Was very relaxing watching the container ships in the distance out to sea & the stingrays, fish & swans that make the lake their home. It was clean, tidy and well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Signs were placed in 2nd bathroom and 2nd bedroom due to Covid. We didn’t need to use them. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the wifi to work, but this didn’t bother us. We were able to catch an Uber easily to/from Sunshine Coast stadium to watch the football (or an easy 45 min walk according to google). Sunshine Coast hospital was across the road. Cafes within walking distance, Shopping centre close by, as well as restaurants and eateries. Night quarter precinct next door to shopping centre, but we didn’t go. Short drive to the beach. Will stay here again if staying on the Sunshine Coast

The receptionist Nicky booked us in at the hotel, she was friendly and helpful providing maps and local advice. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony overlooking a building site... Perhaps should not have been charged extra for this privilege as we never used it! The room was clean, tidy and functional. Beds were firm, but there should have been a better pillow selection as ours were all flat as pancakes. Not sure about the glass shower room with duel purpose door. Can't leave the night light on as it illuminated the bedroom. Car parking at $20 a day was expensive as we stayed 5 days should have been discounted. Breakfast options were good with gluten free options available toostaff always happy to help. The hotel is within walking distance from cotton tree beach area. There are laundry facilities on top floor. The blue lighting edge to the building made it easy to find. Al's top tips Don't pay extra for a room with a balcony it over looks a building site, and it's not worth it. Take your own pillows as their are flat as pancakes. Parking at $20 a day is excessive and you can park in neighbouring streets after 6pm. Whilst in the area visit Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird World and Australia ZooWe had a great day at both places, and for some fantastic views visit Montville you won't regret it.

OOzMLI stayed at the Golden Beach motor inn with my elderly father while visiting the area. I was met at reception by the very friendly hostess Desleigh who explained details of the accommodations and the area and was very helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean. It was upstairs and had a double bed and a single bed. There was a fridge, tea and coffee provisions and a tv. The bathroom was modern and equipped with soap and shampoo. The room was air conditioned. There is a swimming pool and undercover parking. Then motel was fully booked the night we stayed, but it was quiet and we slept really well. Its a short walk to downtown Caloundra, where there are lots of restaurants. There is an Aldi and a pub a very short distance away, and a Woolworths and bottle shop slightly further (but still walking distance). This is a basic motel, not a 5 star resort, but if you set you expectations accordingly we found it a great place to stay. I recommend it and really enjoyed staying there.

NNomqheleIt was a great getaway with friends. We were there for a anniversary celebration and the fan and aircon were not working in the master room yet it was terribly hot so it was s quite the uncomfortable night.

GGuest UserI went for a short getaway with my mother to ULTIQA Shearwater. We were met with friendly staff at the hotel who were extremely accomodating by ringing us when our room was ready so we could check in earlier. This was greatly appreciated. We requested an ocean view room in advance and our request was met. We were on level 6 in what looked like a newly refurbished room. The room was clean and comfortable with an outstanding view!! The breakfast included is only a small amount of options but I think the meals it’s self are generous and had a good range. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again. . The staff were wonderful, the room was great and the location was outstanding.

GGuest UserUpon checking in, the foyer and reception area smells like cigarettes. One thing I can compliment this hotel on are the staff at check in who were very friendly and helpful. The room itself is very dissapointing. The carpet is dirty, the air con is only in the living room which just simply does not reach the bedroom. The fan in the bedroom creaks. The bed is so old you can feel the springs and it is almost like a trampoline. You would almost consider sleeping on the couch. The toilet is at the end of the hallway in the bedroom with NO DOOR. The shower head is so clogged the water kind of sprays everywhere except on you. The soaps and supplied shampoos, etc are fine and there are enough towels and linens. The room is however, sad and dated and simply depressing. The curtains are filthy and have holes in them. From 5am a dog, presumably somewhere in the complex, was barking non stop till 7:30am. It was loud and noisy, hot and humid. I felt really uncomfortable in this hotel. People live here, and you almost feel like an intruder and they watch you and look at you like you are a criminal on their property….! It’s an unusual, gloomy place and I would not stay here again.
