Very good location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the "main drag" of Calistoga - which is great! - but it's right on a busy road so if you choose to leave your windows open at night there is traffic noise. The room itself was spotless and well stocked - waters, coffee maker/supplies, snacks (much appreciated!), toiletries, etc - which was great! Not a whole lot of space overall in the room itself but we appreciated the large comfortable bed and there is plenty or room elsewhere in the house to spread out. It's an old house with a very narrow staircase to access the bedrooms so be aware if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage. Access to large downstairs living room and kitchen area is included and there is outdoor seating space out back as well. The back yard area is not fancy but we enjoyed sitting out there in the evening - beware of a potentially dangerous loose rail and side drop off at the top level. We were a little concerned about safety given the 2 back door entrances (kitchen & porch to upstairs rooms) as in what if some other guest were to leave them unlocked (?) but had no problems. Check in is contactless & easy - an envelope is left outside the front door with a key in it - hopefully nobody takes one who isn't meant to. We traveled with another couple who received a gift bottle of wine in their room and glasses to drink it in - nice touch (for them) but kind of wondered why we did not get the same (?) Breakfast consists of a voucher to a downtown cafe within easy walking distance - we really enjoyed the food and change of scenery there. We would come back again.

This is a house that has been turned into an Inn so each room is different, I would assume. We stayed in the Napa room. This room is TINY. I mean maybe a foot between the bottom of the bed and the door!! If you are of bigger stature you would definitely have to side step ro get around the bed and you would likely not fit in the shower. The AC is set by the owners so you are unable to change it. The road noise is not good but was even worse when we had to open the windows because it was so hot. The room was clean and there was a mini fridge, coffee pot, snacks, ear plugs and a bottle of wine. The back yard area was very nice with several different places to sit and a fire pit. It is very close to downtown which is very nice. We personally will probably not stay here again but if you choose to I would request the room farthest from the road.

I was traveling by myself and this was a perfect place for my one night in Calistoga. It was comfortable, clean, affordable, and convenient for walking into town. Although the room was small, it was perfect for me. The garden is quite lovely and the building is charming. It is on a busy road so might be a bit noisy if the window is open.

The Inn is absolutely wonderful!! The house is beautifully decorated and well maintained. Everything was immaculate. The outdoor area is surrounded with lovely plants. The location is just a minute from downtown. We frequently walked to downtown from the Inn. Our room was ready for us..thank you!! We throughly enjoyed the Silverado Room. Great communication!! Always quick with response We had a lovely time and will return.

Very convinient location, you can walk to almost everything in downtown Calistoga. The owner was very nice and apologetic as they were doing some work on some of the rooms, we even got on upgrade because of it and couldnt be happier! Great place to stay!!!

Inn is located on the edge of town but everything is walking distance. Getting in and up the driveway kinda sucks with the traffic. Nobody to greet a guest at 3pm on a Friday. Keys and room instructions are in an envelope by the back door… sure glad I arrived in daylight. Not friendly nor welcoming Inn gives ya a coupon for coffee, pastries breakfast sandwich shop about ten minute walk away. Wi-Fi is horrible in the Howel room…I ended up using cell service for internet. (I wasn’t downloading anything-just usual internet searches, emails) When you book, you’ll notice that everything is about it’s non-refundable…it’s over done. Certainly not friendly nor welcoming. Nope, I probably wouldn’t return…but it was about half the price of other lodging for the dates I had booked. Many other choices in town.

A wonderfully confortable place to stay, after a tiring day driving up from Mountain View and tasting wines, this was the perfect place to stay. The hosts were very well organized and very caring. Calistoga was a charming stop and the recommended breakfast stop The Roastery was excellent

Our stay has been "weighing" on me since we stayed there ..... My wife and I had an event to attend in Calistoga and were so excited to stay for two days up in the beautiful California wine country. We selected the Calistoga Wine Way Inn to spend our first day and night. The online description and many of the reviews were excellent, so we paid the $500.00 plus dollars for the room. I telephoned to make the reservation and it was gladly accepted. However, when we arrived at the property there was construction at the property going on; noisy painting and repairing of the exterior of the building. I was not told about this construction project in advance when I made the reservation ! With work going on outside of our room, we were not able to open the window blinds nor even get fresh air. There was also a paint odor. Thus, the room was stuffy as well. Then we opened the refrigerator to get some water bottles for our walk to town. To our surprise, this property apparently refills used disposable plastic water bottles ! Two of the four water bottles had the seals broken and had previously been "bent in" and were refilled -- one even had "dirty grayish" water in the bottle ! This is definitely a health issue. All in all, it's a well located property with nicely appointed decoration. A real "plus" is the off street parking. Our room for the most part was very nice. It had a fireplace and a beautiful bathroom with an all glass shower. However, I'm so disappointed with our stay and believe that the hotel should have been upfront with us and told us about the construction ahead of time ---- and if we still wanted to stay, they should have offered us an adjusted price to stay there. The cars in the parking spaces were not covered by the painters. They also advertise that they include breakfast at the Calistoga Roastery, however the coupons that they provided to us did not pay the full price for two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches; we had to pay another $8.00. They should also stop refilling used water bottles and observe proper health guidelines.

The rooms are very clean and the bed is wildly comfortable. The location is central to the heart of Calistoga, and walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and wineries (even one right across the street). You have full access to the kitchen and beautiful outdoor patio and it’s a quiet Victorian refuge in the heart of Calistoga, with easy access to world class wineries and restaurants. I’d highly recommend!
