I have visited this location in Sept 2020 during the pandemic situation. The hotel and rooms needs some love and care, but I guess that is standard for Cali so I will not review this property based on this issue. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for central travel . The rates were very low but that must to have been due to the pandemic situation. Their fitness area has just enough equipment to get a decent work out in or do your morning cardio. The food was very basic but again I haven’t experience it when the hotel would operate normally without the COVID regulations. In general this is a location would fit a stay if you come to visit for work it business and you really don’t need any amenities or services at your place of stay. I wouldn’t recommend it for tourists who want to enjoy and experience Cali. I don’t know If I would stay here again on my return.

This hotel is located on a VERY busy street; luckily, they have a private garage. The rooms are super small for a party of two. So small that they improvised a closet with two pieces of wood in the corner of the room. The beds are SUPER uncomfortable. You literally feel like you are sleeping on the floor. Our first night, we contacted the front desk at 2 a.m. to complain about the beds and to request another room, and they confirmed that all beds are the same and that they have received plenty of complaints about the same thing. The buffet breakfast was a joke. Cold food, no flavor, and not enough variety—I will not recommend this hotel and will definitely not stay there again!

I live in Cali, Colombia. I used to work for the UN so I have traveled to over 140 countries and stayed in many hotels. A friend and I decided to go to the Marriot for breakfast, It was the most awful experience of our lives. We arrived and I asked if they had baguette bread. They said they did and would heated for me. it took 1 !/2 hours to get it. I asked for scrambled eggs and got a dry omlette. My companion asked for a soft omlette with tomatoes and mushroom. The omlette was as dry as the Mohave and the mushrooms had a funny amonia taste (we later found out through google that this indicates they are wrotten and should not be eaten. The coffee (in Colombia of all places) was a weak brew and tasted like someone had used a sock rather than coffee to brew that ”beverage”. The juices tasted like tang...and all of this for the equivalent sum of 18 dollars per person. Next to us sat a gentleman from New Jersey. He heard me complain to my guest. We started to talk and he not only agreed the food was awful but told us he had stayed there before (his company ask for him to stay there) and THEY HAD STOLEN HIS WATCH FROM HIS ROOM!!!!! DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!!

My friends and I stayed at the Faranda Cali on a friends trip to Colombia. The Faranda is located in the historical center of Cali, close to the boulevard and other historical sites, like Iglesia Ermita. Check in was relatively smooth and the hotel is relatively modern, given its surroundings. The area around the hotel is not the best, but they don't reflect the inside of the hotel. The general vibe of the hotel is Art Deco. I don't know what that has to do with Cali, Colombia, but that's what the Faranda was giving. There's one small elevator for the hotel, so if you don't mind stairs, I would advise using them at least to walk down. There's also a bar on the top floor that gets very loud when there's an event. So again, if this is a problem, request a room on the lower floor. I also wouldn't count getting any kind of workout in their ”fitness room” which is a tiny room with ancient equipment and no ventilation. The bar staff also randomly come and go, so if you go to get a drink at 8:00 p.m. there may or may not be a bar tender at the bar in the lobby which is the first thing you see when you walk into the place. On the positive side, the room rate seemed to be excessively reasonable. Breakfast was pretty okay and security is very tight at night, so you can feel pretty good about staying there. It was good to try but I think I'll pay a little bit more and stay somewhere with nicer amenities next time.

Oh how I love this hotel and the staff. I stayed at the hotel for seven days and had nothing but the best experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I felt safe and at peace while traveling alone. I had no fear and was able to enjoy Cali and all that it had to offer. I will be back again Jan. See you soon Hotel El Penon.

NH Cali Royal is a high quality hotel although the price is very accessible and much lower that one would expect. The bedroom was very large and comfortable. I slept perfectly every night 5 star hotel room at 3 star prices. The restaurant staff are amazing and helpful at all times. This applies to the front desk staff as well. The only negative thing was that the safe in my room was unuseable. I reported this but no one fix it during my stay. There was also a large crack in one of the windows.

This studio apartment was one of the best I have been in Cali; very good location; excellent mountain view from the studio balcony; near to local transportation, good restaurants; very clean; good amenities, very comfortable; and the best, all employees from the front desk to Housekeeping; all of them very friendly and provided me a very good service. Thank you Natalia, Junior, Gary and Bryan, you guys have a very and professional customer service skills. I do highly recommend this studio apartment. GGuest UserWhen you show up you're pleasantly greeted by a security door you have to be buzzed in to enter. At this point you're probably realizing you made a mistake. It gets better when the attendant is rude and seems like she's very unhappy to see you or any ”guest”. Hotel has ridiculous policies like leaving the key at the front desk when you leave for ”security” purposes. Terrible. If you like hearing ambulances and police cars pass frequently this is the place for you. Barely luke warm water in the shower. On the bright side the shower and bathroom look nice. The room is a good size (I had the Junior Suite) and some of it looks nice. AC works well. The bed is two single beds put together -real classy. Built in ”desk” seemed like it would break if I leaned on it at all. Desk chair is absolutely un-sittable, as is the rock couch in the living room. Nice that there is a mini kitchen, but no plates, silverware, pans, etc provided. They give you two whole glasses. Really would avoid this place.

GGuest UserThe Stein Colonial hotel was the best choice we could have made as the base hotel for our wedding, for many reasons. I would say that the main reason is the location, since its proximity to Gato, Jairo Varela Boulevard, the Tertulia museum, among much more, meant that our guests could get to know the best of Cali within walking distance. In addition, near the place there is a shopping center with many services ideal for the wedding, such as hairdressers, supermarkets and barbershops; and also to the Granada area, where there are delicious restaurants. However, the best thing was the personalized and home-like service they provided us. Another point why we chose this hotel was the pool, since some family members came with children and this made it easier for there to be an additional source of entertainment, which was curiously difficult to find in this same area. As a recommendation for future tourists, the place has many stairs and no elevator, so if this is a difficulty, it is important to confirm a room on the first floor from the beginning. Another point to comment is that some rooms did not have AC and perhaps the point to improve is the 24-hour lobby availability. Otherwise, it was the best choice we made for our wedding, thanks to the Stein team for all their dedication and service.

Room cleanliness was that if a 5-Star hotel (though it is not, it felt like like it was). Front desk staff was amazing (resturant manager needs to be friendlier). I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality, quiet and comfort. The breakfast included was tasty and a HUGE bonus to stay at this hotel. The Late check out the hotel offers (1pm) was delightful ❤️❤️❣️👌

GGuest UserThe bed is good but not the pillow. The AC doesn’t work properly and I didn’t sleep well because of that and the pillows. Anyway I’m ok with the ambient and loved the view from my window . You guys also need a humidifier cause the halls don’t have a good scent and also the elevators they are old and small. It’s weird that the hotel doesn’t look modern
