Motel 6 Port Lavaca, TX

Port Lavaca|2.28km from city centre
We rented two rooms, when I booked I had to pay the entire fee upfront. We only needed a place to lay our heads as we were going fishing all day and planning on leaving early the following morning for more fishing with friends. We arrived early and asked if we could just put our things in our room a few hours before the check in time. They declined our request. (Within their rights) however, if we would have been allowed, we would have had time to cancel and be on our way. Instead, we were off for a full day of fishing in another town Seadrift. By the time we were off the water, cleaned our fish and drove to the hotel it was around 8:30- 9:00 pm when I checked in. The male clerk was not wearing a mask, ( During that time, Texas was still under a mask mandate) I got the keys to both rooms I paid for. And JUST WOW! One room didn’t have a mini fridge, microwave or a coffee pot. No big deal, we will just go ask to have those items. The man at the desk said “ don’t know what to tell ya.” I asked for a refund and turned in my keys he stated the refund would show up on my credit card n 7-10 days. Today is January 6th 2021 and the charges were added back to my credit card. My credit card company if fighting this on my behalf as well. Going through a huge hassle that I shouldn’t have to spend precious time on. There was someone else’s hair in the bed when we pulled the covers back. That’s gross and unacceptable. There wee raccoons and feral cats all over our uncovered boat. A cat ran into the room as soon as I opened the door. If you compare the photos on the website to the phots taken on 11-14-2020 you will see it is definitely deceiving. I hope this helps others to not have to go through the hassle I am still fighting for what is right. Our room numbers were 124 and 138. We spent more money than the room cost purchasing new pillows and blankets to rest in our vehicles. I called the local fire department hoping they could possibly do an inspection (at least in those rooms) I felt it could have definitely been a fire hazard. They stated they would pass it up the chain. Unsure if they were able to do that. If this hotel could have a NEGATIVE RATING, that’s exactly what it deserves. They shouldn’t even be in business until they are able to get things professional and properly cleaned up. Hope this helps others in their decision in booking a room.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Port Lavaca

This hotel is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at! Changed rooms twice, and if it wasn’t so late at night, I would’ve left! The room I ended up in contained these jaw-dropping features that you can’t get at any hotels in the area...the first shocking feature was the blood on the ground in the bathroom! If you are looking for a sketchy, spook don’t wait for Halloween, take a visit here any time of year! The second feature is human excretion on the sheets! This hotel is so spooky that someone wet the bed, and the cleaning crew leaves it to prove that they do a great job of doing nothing! The third feature is the floating friends in the bath tub! Shoutout to the guest before me in room 119 that took a shower, I really appreciated seeing all the floating bacteria in the bath tub! After draining the tub, I had to wipe my hand off and I found the final spook of my stay, someone’s face of makeup on my towel! This hotel should get 5 stars in water conservation because they never wash the towels or sheets between guests. Essentially, this is the dumpster fire of Port Lavaca. If you are traveling through town, keep your foot on the gas and speed trash this place! *I am not able to upload the videos of this place due to this website, but corporate will be seeing them!*
