Hotels in Northwest Calgary, Calgary

I am a customer living in 407 on 9th of November in Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary NW - University Area, an IHG Hotel. . I am writing to complain  the lady on the front desk. She treated me not respectful. When we checked in, I am asking if we have hot spring, she replied several what? And correct me “hot tub” such as I am lack of knowledge. Later, I want to use Landry room and change dollars with them. They gave me several two dollars, and the washing machines only accept 1 dollars, which they should have known at first place. So I went back to the front desk to ask for 1 dollars again. And at that time. There is one guy lining in front of another front desk server. And the lady was answering the phone.  So I naturally stood in front of her desk and waited for her. And I asked her to change 1 dollars for me since they didn’t know. And then she asked me” don’t u notice there is a line? You should wait after it.” So I was so embarrassed to find out I cut in line. So if she is really mindful about me cutting in line, Why not telling me to wait after? Or just remind me in a more respectful way assuming I really don’t know there is a line? Either way will have same effect and I would be acknowledged in a not embarrassing way. And again, the washing machine only accept 1 dollar and they did not know, is their job dereliction. I am very concerned how your service match up with your high level of fees.

This was really good! Safe location near the university with a bunch of other hotels. It’s clean with decent shower. Car parking is gated underground. Breakfast spread is above average! Recommended.

Very close to the subway station, with abundant food around, good front desk service, safe and convenient parking, rich American buffet breakfast, but the breakfast room is in the atrium, and guests on the first floor will feel a little noisy.

Satisfied with the service from this hotel they change and re-arrange the room every day even without requesting it. Breakfast was good as well and you will never see an empty display from the buffet room. Highly recommended this place.

The facilities are old, the breakfast is very intimate, the style is rich, the variety is many, and the problem of inconvenience of dining nearby can be solved. The service attitude is very good, catching up with the peak season, the hotel price is higher.

Location is perfect just near to lRT station overall it was good but i use trip.com to book from my debit card and they confirm my booking but while i went there for check in the guy there told me i have to use my credit card for the deposit which I don’t have but i told i will pay cash for deposit and they can check room while we check out unfortunately he refused and said company policy only accept credit card which I don’t have and than i have to call my friend and use his credit card and signed authorisation from mail and sent other proof which took almost more than hour. Incase if I don’t have my friend with credit card they would have refuse me to check in and I would be sleeping on the street. The thing I don’t understand is why did they accept my booking while i use my debit card and why can’t they accept cash as deposit because not every traveler has credit card. It was very disappointing

Things are just wore out. Hole in bathtub patched poorly with caulking, tub faucet dripped nonstop, shower curtain was stained, duvets on both beds were badly yellowed, no longer white, had stains & were torn in multiple places.
