Hotels in University of Calgary District, Calgary

The room was clean and spacious. The staffs were very friendly. Price was very affordable. Breakfast is included, they offered muffins and cereal (bulk), coffee and tea, bread and peeled boiled eggs. If you have allergies, bring your own food. Depending on the room you chose, some has stove, cutlery, dishes and soap at your disposal. Side note: we also booked for the other Econolodge situated behind this one. The Econolodge motel is to be avoided.

I am a customer living in 407 on 9th of November in Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary NW - University Area, an IHG Hotel. . I am writing to complain  the lady on the front desk. She treated me not respectful. When we checked in, I am asking if we have hot spring, she replied several what? And correct me “hot tub” such as I am lack of knowledge. Later, I want to use Landry room and change dollars with them. They gave me several two dollars, and the washing machines only accept 1 dollars, which they should have known at first place. So I went back to the front desk to ask for 1 dollars again. And at that time. There is one guy lining in front of another front desk server. And the lady was answering the phone.  So I naturally stood in front of her desk and waited for her. And I asked her to change 1 dollars for me since they didn’t know. And then she asked me” don’t u notice there is a line? You should wait after it.” So I was so embarrassed to find out I cut in line. So if she is really mindful about me cutting in line, Why not telling me to wait after? Or just remind me in a more respectful way assuming I really don’t know there is a line? Either way will have same effect and I would be acknowledged in a not embarrassing way. And again, the washing machine only accept 1 dollar and they did not know, is their job dereliction. I am very concerned how your service match up with your high level of fees.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the rooms are quite comfortable. Roads are being built around, so getting in and out is a bit troublesome. The reception attitude at the front desk is not very good and should be improved

This was really good! Safe location near the university with a bunch of other hotels. It’s clean with decent shower. Car parking is gated underground. Breakfast spread is above average! Recommended.

The hotel has good facilities and good value for money. The parking lot is in the underground garage and is very safe. However, the breakfast is not very tasty. It is no problem to eat enough. The room is relatively clean and the bedding is OK. But I don't know why, there is only a sheet on the top of the quilt. Do you just change the sheet every time? Do you sleep directly inside the quilt? Anyway, I turned it inside out and I don't understand? I haven't seen enough of the world, right?

Things are just wore out. Hole in bathtub patched poorly with caulking, tub faucet dripped nonstop, shower curtain was stained, duvets on both beds were badly yellowed, no longer white, had stains & were torn in multiple places.

The room was clean, and I was not expecting to get such a nice and beautiful room to spend the night. It was beyond my expectation. Value for money. That's the main reason I trust Trip.com for all my bookings.

it was good.. id definitely would love to be back. its our 2nd. i like the room, its clean and comfy. its so close to restaurants. and got a good deal for 3 days. there was no issue on the card..the staffs are accomodating. However, there was probably a miscommunication on the modification i requested by email. i did it via trip.com but the frontliner said she didnt get an email. tho she helped us still as i was coming in late from travel and my roomate came ahead of me. Coincidentally, i noticed the exhaust fan in the washroom isnt working..but its better than the first time we stayed, where exhaust fan was too loud its attached to the lights when its on.anyway, its not a big issue for us. we still find it convenient to stay. breakfast is basic, and its all good.

The room is very large and very good, you can make some simple meals in the room, convenient to save the Chinese stomach. It is very cost-effective in Canada. It is basically located in the city center. It is very convenient to walk or take a car to the business district. Breakfast is very good, there is free coffee and hot water, the service is also very good, if you go early in the morning, you will also help you pack breakfast. There are some tramps around, but it should be fine not to go out too late at night. In short, it is very good. I will stay here next time in Calgary.

Close to the center of downtown. However it is recommended not to go outside during late night.
