"There is a big gap between the five-star hotels in our impression, and it is almost the same as our domestic four-star Holiday Inn Express, but the United States and Canada are similar. The hotel is good value for money, the swimming pool is relatively small, the standard American breakfast, and I eat too much."

"The receptionist was very cheerful and the room was very clean! It is also located conveniently in Downtown Calgary. However, the temperature of the shower can be a bit tricky to adjust as it will either be too hot or too cold. But I was very satisfied overall and would recommend this hotel to fellow solo travellers!"

"I recently stayed at the Sandman Hotel and had a great experience overall. The location is fantastic, with easy access to nearby attractions and conveniences. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel welcome. There’s also a nice restaurant attached to the hotel, which was very convenient and served excellent food. The only downside was the loud noise from the train on the street below, which could be disruptive at times. Despite this, I would still recommend the hotel for its prime location and excellent service."

"This time I came to Calgary with my friends. The hotel is a little old and there are many shortcomings in the details. It really needs daily renovation. The advantage is that the bed is very comfortable to sleep on."

"Staff members were helpful. Patio accessed from room was very cosy and pleasantly set up. A gentle reminder that the bathtub/shower floor was extremely slippery, to the point of being potentially hazardous when in use. Lighting in room a bit weak to our liking; some dust on the reading lamp on the desk yet to be cleaned."

"Very accommodating. Our request were accomodated as we arrived late midnight as well. We had an issue with our room but the Guy working yesterday 7/19/2025. Was very helpful and accommodating, he moved us right a way to another room. The first room we have is just portable aircon but I could say its not really a problem the portable was actually hood and cold. :)"
