Caledon Grace Guesthouse

Fabulous. We arrived early & Lorenzo (Manager) and Luchian took our bags & although we couldn't check in, held our bags. Upon checking in later, we were upgraded to a river view room. Guesthouse is so beautiful, filled with artworks and antiques. Breakfast was a feast. Luchian's service was excellent. A truly wonderful stay. Thank you

Caledon Grace is truly a gem! We were so surprised on arrival at how beautiful the grounds were - somehow even better than the photos! And the interior of the house is just as beautiful, and comfortable. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area and would strongly recommend Caledon Grace to anyone visiting Caledon!

Beautiful oasis in Caledon! The 19th century manor is in great condition and decorated with style. The entrance with the African lily’s along the driveway is magical and the garden with small vineyards on both sides really adds to the feeling of grandeur. We stayed with our 11-month old daughter in the Secret Garden Suite, which was perfect for the three of us. The baby cod was large and the suite gave us plenty of choices on where to put it, so we ended up placing it in the private entrance room, adjacent to our bedroom, and had two great nights as did our daughter. We loved how friendly the staff was, as they were always there when we needed them and the right level of discrete at the same time. Overall a wonderful stay and a great place to stay when visiting Hermanus, the Hemel-and-Aarde valley or as a stop from the N2. Thank you, Michel, Nicky and staff!

I hate to write bad reviews however I felt that I needed to share our experience for future guests. We decided to stay outside of Hermanus for New Years to visit family and experience the beautiful countryside. Upon arrival the grounds looked lovely. Upon entry of the Old Manor House guest room, we immediately realized the room was not as advertised with lush bathroom and tub, instead it had a poorly installed shower with no hot water or working lights in the bathroom. We later also realized that the room was located right next to the car park and kitchen with poor sound insulation or blinds to prevent light glare or privacy in the bedroom so we were awake at 5am on New Years morning. The room had a tea / coffee point but no kettle which we also had to request. The breakfast was disappointing on New Year’s Day, I had to get a decent coffee in Hermanus. We requested a fix for the hot water and bathroom lights however after a second failed attempt at a hot shower we showered in the outhouse the night before we checked out early. We also did not take breakfast on our final day. The staff are friendly and helpful but as seen the issues were not adequately resolved and thankfully the owners refunded the early check out period. It could have been a wonderful romantic New Years stay but sadly it was disappointing and it’s down on our poor experience list.

We were warmly welcomed by both the owner and manager of Caledon Grace. After a short tour of the estate, we were happily surprised by a personalised welcome message in our room. One example of the eye for detail they have. The manor is beautifully maintained, spacious and very clean. Our son kept calling it a little castle and it really is. Lovely breakfast and great staff. Thanks for the wonderful and peaceful stay.

The most beautiful guesthouse perfectly situated near Die Woud venue. We stayed here for our wedding weekend with family and friends and it couldn't have been more perfect. Beautiful rooms, with amazing garden and vineyards for photo's. Incredibly spacious with everything we could possibly need. Both Nikki and Michel are amazing hosts and King was there the entire time to take care of absolutely everything. This accommodation is highly recommended. And you won't find better breakfast anywhere!!
