Myself and my partner booked a last minute get away at the start of September, after going through the travel agents we decided on HSM Calas park. Thankfully due to it being quite last minute we paid below average price for our all inclusive holiday! upon arrival we were greeted with Natalie who was lovely checking us in but our room wasn’t ready therefore they let us store our cases and let us in for lunch. Once finished lunch we went back to reception where David was quite abrupt in asking what we wanted, we explained we were wondering if our room 602 was ready. After a confusing 5 minutes of him finding out if our room was ready he handed us the room key and pointed to the direction of our room. No instructions on how to get there, no information about hotel like breakfast lunch dinner times or any rules or regulations etc. this is when we discovered there was no lifts in this hotel… which we found odd! luckily we were only 1 flight of stairs down from reception. When we got to our room, upon first glance it was beautiful and we were over the moon with the size of it - we chucked on our swimming gear and headed down to pool. Once we got back in the room on the evening is when we discovered a few issues with our room. I will attach photos however these issues where leaks that hadn’t been painted, mould in both bathrooms, a light hanging out of the ceiling in 1 bathroom, and cigarette burns in the curtains… at this point it was 7:30 pm at night plus we where worried that if we complained we would get put in a room that was 3 flights up where we could barley carry our suitcases up or down. Its frustrating because these issues are simple fixes which if they got a joiner in it would take an hour to fix. I work in property myself and would be sacked if I let one of my flats be rented with mould in.We ended up just using the bathroom that had the least amount of mould in for our own safety. Another thing that annoyed us was we where given towels with holes in nearly every day upon towel changes which just confused us as to why they wouldn’t just bin these! When we went to get our first round of all inclusive drinks we where asked ‘where are your cups?’ To our confusion we said what cups do you mean? Apparently when checking in we should of received 2 cups or even a slip to get 2 cups which you reuse for all your inclusive drinks which David or Natalie also did not give us upon arrival. Overall we did have a lovely holiday and especially loved the 2 turtles in the centre of the hotel however just such a shame the little things let it down. We both agreed we wouldn’t come back.

We had such an amazing family holiday here & would love to book again next year. I struggled to find a review that I wanted when I was looking so hopefully this will help others. Transfer - took us just over 1 hour with about 4 drop offs before us. You get dropped off at the road & have about a 30 second walk to the hotel. You meet at the same place on pick up (similar transfer time back to the airport). It was absolutely no problem whatsoever. I'd heard the transfers could be 2 to 2.5 hours so was pleasantly surprised. Rooms - we had a sea view room just above the bar. The views are breathtaking & cannot be beaten for a sunrise. The rooms are as you see in the pictures. One bedroom & a lounge area with a sofa bed. You can separate the bedroom beds into 2 beds. The sofa bed has another bed you pull out from underneath so it worked perfectly for us as a family of 4 where our kids wanted to swap where they slept. There is a spacious balcony, a bathroom with shower, a table & chairs & a small kitchenette. We bought water/crisps & stored them in the room but with all the food we didn't really need to. The cleaning staff are amazing. Rooms are cleaned every day & the rooms are spotless. There is a TV but you have to get the remote from reception (we didn't bother). There's also a small rack on the balcony to hang your wet clothes on. As we were above the bar, it could be loud until about 11pm but we were always down watching the shows anyway, so this didn't really affect us. The free air-conditioning is a god send & there is also free Wi-Fi. We paid 38 euros tourist tax when we arrived. Hotel - the hotel & the grounds are beautiful. I liked that it wasn't just a big hotel block & it was more like 8 different apartment blocks on a slope. Receptionists were always on hand. The grounds were kept really clean too. The hotel has 3 turtles & a goldfish which our kids loved. There are about 70 steps down to the pool from reception. Whilst the steps weren't a problem for us, I imagine for people with buggies/mobility issues, this might not work. We were in the bottom block so only had about 15 steps to walk down to get to the pool. The all inclusive restaurant is up the steps and over the road from reception. There is a small park out the front of reception which was a nice addition that the kids enjoyed. You receive a token for a plastic cup on arrival & hand it to the bar. They give you your plastic cup & off you go. The bar staff clean it for you if you want a new drink. There are massage chairs & some arcade games in reception too, along with an information board which tells you the day's/week's activities. Food/drinks - like the previous review, if you're coming looking for 5 star gourmet food you won't find it here, but you're not booking a 5 star hotel. There was never a shortage of choices & always space in the restaurant. You're given a leaflet with the restaurant times on when you arrive & you'd be extremely unlucky to ever see it closed. 8-12

Beautiful view and walkway along the sea, 8 mins away from Calas Domingos beach. Rooms are good. All inclusive was pretty good. I ate different meals every night- grilled chicken, meatballs, pasta, chili. People complain about the food; trust me it was pretty good. Deserts also varied each day. They had a wine and beee self serve in restaurant that was nice as well. Bars were never packed and had a drink in under 1 min 90% of the time. Good cold beer and I enjoyed the gin and tonics as well. Improvements that can be made: pasta is way too soft should be could less. Only saw chicken nuggets served 1 day at lunch the 9 days we were there. Kids love chicken nuggets, place is full of kids they should be served daily and they were really good. Croissants were only served 2 breakfast mornings. We are in Europe where croissants are a staple- they should have them every morning. Bacon is also too undercooked. Other than that I enjoyed all my meals here. Shoutout to Nadya and the entertainment staff. They do aerobic shows by the pool in the morning, kids club most of the days for the kids and they even perform in the shows at night. They were amazing! I recommend this hotel because it’s all inclusive and it’s a great value for the price. Throw in the location above rocky cliffs over looking the sea. We were the only Americans here- I venture far and wide for exotic places either beauty and value- I recommend Calas Park; especially if you have kids between 2 and 10. Very family oriented and everyone seemed polite and nice that we spoke to during our time there.

Excellent hotel, perfect for families with young children. Our children basically spent a week in the swimming pool. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols to go around. Help yourself to as much ice cream as you want and a fully stocked bar. Staff were very friendly and welcoming to everyone. Daily activities for all ages, and varying evening entertainment. Food was plentiful, with set time slots for main meals and in between these timings, a smaller selection of hot food is available. Perfect location overlooking the sea. 10 minute walk to the beach and to catch the glass bottomed boat trip. Shops literally around the corner from the hotel. The hotel is built on a mountain side, so has lots of steps (about 70), but this is made clear in all the hotel information and didn't put us off, even with a 3 year old who managed the steps. A little wildlife pool is at the top of the steps with some turtles in, and frogs in another wildlife pool half way down, and lots of fish. Rooms were excellent, with daily housekeeping, and added bonus of the balcony area to relax when kids in bed or to dry swimming clothes. Inflatables allowed in the pool, and it has varying depths, ideal for young children and older children. It was our first family abroad holiday, and would love to go back. Our transfer time was just over an hour to/from the airport. Can not fault this hotel!! Thank you HSM Calas Park

Excellent hotel to stay at. A 3* hotel but a 5* service. We stayed in a sea view room and the scenery was breathtaking. Obviously we interacted more with reception and restaurant staff but WOW. Very professional and friendly. The entertainment staff were incredible and for anyone with young kids would definitely be looked after by them. I would DEFINITELY recommend staying here.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful, beds are very comfy, staff and entertainment team are really lovely. Rooms and all areas of hotel were clean and very modern. Cleaners were very thorough and worked very hard. We booked a sea view room and I highly recommend!! The view is just amazing it’s so worth it. In terms of area there’s lot of shops and bars, there’s mini golf in the middle of the square (in the middle of the shops), and there’s also a little funfair on an evening for kids also near the shops. Food at the all inclusive was OK - expected for a 3 star hotel. They did have paella every day of our stay at lunches and it was beautiful- varied from seafood and vegetable. There was also shark for a couple of nights as well which was beautiful! The rest of the food was basic but still nice. The pool was lovely and could always get a sunbed. Entertainment was good - some nights the entertainment team would do a show, other nights they would hire a company to do entertainment. There’s direct access to the promenade where you can walk along the sea and find multiple beaches- all of which are beautiful and have lifeguards. There is also a lifeguard at the pool everyday. Overall I’d definitely recommend this hotel the location is just amazing and you can’t beat it.

Beautiful views of the sea with a short walk to Domingos beach, the hotel is very close to the town with some good bars. The hotel room was perfect and sufficient for myself and husband, however it is not very good for those with mobility issues due to the steps to the pool and bar area. The food let this lovely hotel down, I love vegetables but couldn’t understand why they were cooked in garlic, I love garlic but not on my veg. Also where you get dropped off is also where you get picked up from, i received a txt from jet2 to go to hotel Samoa for pick up and had to run for the transfer at the spot I was dropped off at or we would have missed it. We had a lovely boat ride to Porto christo and visited the caves of drach, definitely worth a visit. I would visit again due to the location, all the staff are very pleasant and work really hard they just need to sort the food out.

Everything was good, over expectations! The view, the location, the room, the animation, the kindness of the staff. All was absolutely fantastic. Everything but the food. For me and my family the quality of the food wasn't so good... We are Italians, of course. Especially pasta was really bad and overcooked. Ham, salami, cheese and hard-boiled eggs looked like they were the same for days. Even desserts and some other preparations were hard to be eaten. Anyway we could find something to eat we did appreciate. Fresh bread every morning, omelettes, some meet or fish grilled, and something more. If you'll try to emprove your cooking style givin the right importance to quality instead of quantity your reputation would be the top. Thanks for everything, we really enjoyed our staying.
