The Somy Plaza is in a fabulous location close to shops, restaurants and the beach, The staff here are extremely friendly from the security gate men to the cleaners and especially restaurant and pool staff all made us feel very welcome, will be back

First time at SOMY PLAZA ...... Normally stay at Nazri Resort Baga. Hotel staff ......generally excellent Bedrooms .....very clean and serviced daily Bar / restaurant .....great staff ...Vivian and the rest.....first class. But I have a BIG negative .....!!!! BE AWARE ..... SUN LOUNGERS ....... Certain guests always think it is acceptable to reserve sun loungers at 6am EVERY morning The pool does not open until 8am. The MANAGEMENT placed a notice around the pool saying ....This is not permitted and towels will be removed ...... THIS NOTICE may aswell of been straight in tge rubbish bin .... The very next day ...SUNLOUNGERS have towels on at 6am.....the pool attendant is aware and just said.......I do not understand What a load of hot air....... So......we will unlikely be returning and would not recommend anyone who likes a equal chance to get a sun lounger ....to avoid . SUCH A SHAME they do not enforce what the rule is they have made . MANY GUESTS I have spoke to feel exactly the same .

This hotel is one of the best we've stayed at in Goa! The staff are all very friendly and it is all very clean. The floor around the tables at the pool could benefit from a jet wash now and then. The pool area is fantastic! There were plenty of sunbeds. They could fit in another 5 without making it too tight. It's a shame some Brits still feel the need to reserve beds so much. It's very selfish! We arrived one day at noon, all beds taken, 4 had towels, not used. People left and a few became available, at 14:30, those 4 people came back! 2 and a half hours!! We were upgraded to a front facing, premier room. It had a living room with a fan a fridge/kettle and with a balcony, a big dressing area with a fan, a bathroom with a fan and a very good shower, and a bedroom with a balcony and AC and a fan. The l living room was unusable as it was too hot, the fan was not able to cool the air. Had there been AC, I think the hotel would have been as close to perfect as it could be!! The location is great for walking to bars, restaurants etc. We would definitely recommend it!

We have stayed her a few times now and is our favourite hotel in Goa Paul the manager is a very nice guy (thank you Paul for advice when my wife banged her chin) Alll the staff there are really nice and friendly so no special mentions this time Paul has a good team Rooms cleaned every day , food , drinks entertainment and pool all very good I used the kingfisher shop just outside the gate to change money and found the *** there to be very helpful he has a good name (Cash) Taxi drivers outside also friendly We had a really good 4 weeks stay and will be back again John

Just finished our 3rd trip here in the past 12 months, can’t thank you enough once again for all the hotel do for us, from check in with Paul ( he’s amazing will help you with whatever need, recommended a great trip for us, and then back to the restaurant and bar staff, amazing as usual big shout out to Peter, uttam and viv ***** with all the rest, staying here is like being home from home, the staff are always helping one day I was really poorly and some of the staff stayed on after there shift to make sure I was okay, Peter rang the room every so often incase we needed anything that day , the cleaner also munna excellent as his job as always room was cleaned everyday to perfection thank you it’s the little things that make your holiday, and for us it’s this hotel and all the staff that come with it. We can’t wait to come back to see everyone again thank you for an excellent stay! One thing I would say - please give mr pool *** a new table for his towels Otherwise keep doing what you’re all doing 10/10 staff makes the hotel

Another great stay at the Somy plaza, Checkin is always a breeze Paul the manager and his reception staff do a brilliant job, cases are taken to room, the rooms are clean and comfortable, large bed, dressing area and bathroom with walk in shower. Pool area plenty of sunbeds and well kept clean pool, free pool towels, Waiters waitresses work really hard in keeping the drinks and food to you, Peter the main barman is lovely always smiling and talking, all the staff work hard Ajay was another friendly staff, It’s nice that Paul the manager everyday would walk around the pool area taking time to speak to all guests, Food at the hotel is very nice and a few nights the hotel had entertainment or a themed night which was nice. The hotel is very central one way to candolim the other way to baga, See you all soon Somy plaza

Enjoyed our stay here Good location Pool area good Breakfast ok Room was cleaned every day Bottled water every day Things we didn’t like Pool guy saved beds for people every day some never used these till late in the day Thought they were on a first come basis Balcony was never cleaned in the 2 weeks we were there.

Just spent 3weeks at the Somy.Firstly me and my wife Jeanette would like to thank all of the staff at the Somy who helped make our holiday in Goa such a wonderfull time.Hotels are only as good as its staff and the team under Paul are brilliant.This was about our 7th time at the Somy and it gets better each time.The whole atmosphere at the Somy is relaxed friendly and welcoming. The manager Paul makes himself known by coming out and meeting his guests around the pool area.Listening and helping and chatting to them.Try the Somy you wont be disappointed
