Hotels Near Biblioteca Scientifica in Calambrone

I was staying here and also booked in a number of friends and family to relax following a wedding in tuscany. Everything went wrong. We weren't given the rooms we honoured. Staff were proud of their superior rooms but honestly they weren't great and 2 were not properly cleaned. I've stayed in hostels before and don't mind dust but dirt and scum around 2 of the bathrooms. We went to the supermarket and bought cleaning stuff. The deluxe room we paid for (for myself and newly wed husband) was none existent. One of our group went to a room to find another persons full belongings in and the staff didn't know what to do about it so kept us waiting for another hour and half (waiting around). We weren't told we needed to book into the restaurant, or where the spa was or where breakfast was by anyone. We had to keep goin back and asking questions. The menu at the bar was very limited. Staff were horribly rude. My husband and friend who are both guests went to pick up some stuff from the shops for their room and when they came back and sat with us (we already had their drinks ready). A staff member walked up and said my manager said buy something or get out. When we said we are guests and have just spent over 100 euros from one round of drinks (that this same waitress got wrong and somehow bought us 5 extra drinks, charged us and refused to take them away). I ordered a sandwhich at the pool bar and asked if it had sauce and specified no sauce. I couldn't see any but took a bite into it and had an allergic reaction (needing to have medication on top of my epi pen, so spent the following day in bed all day). The quality of the rooms, staff and food were all abismal. It felt like i had gone to a budget holiday camp like bultins in the UK. I tried to complain whilst I was there as this honestly ruined my trip. What was suppose to be relaxing and fun in a room that looked nothing like the picture of the ones we booked. Allergic reactions, rude staff throughout especially talking to my husband like garbage and even after serving us all day and getting orders wrong which we had to pay for. Just a note you cannot go in the pool without a cap which you have to buy from them. I get hygiene but this was even for 2 members of my group who were fully bald. In 40 degree heat it's a bit excessive and i've never known anything like it. Only positive was the main restaurant food.

In the historical centre, in the wonderful “Venezia”, a suggestive and fascinating place! Very nice, careful in details and very clean! With a gentle staff and available for instructions and advice! The family room had the right space, while maintaining its elegance! I had a very comfortable bed, even the one-bed. The air conditioning was perfect in view of the period. The bathroom supplies were perfect, with the small hydrating soaps!!! Details that did not escape in the whole! Delightful breakfast, the cornets disintegrated in the mouth! It was an unforgettable experience that made our visit to Livorno even more beautiful! Let's hope to come back soon!!

My wife and I stayed one night due to an emergency when we had to disembark from a cruise ship docked nearby. The front desk manager, Gabriel, was exceptionally helpful with our emergency arrangements, including directions to the train station, train schedules, taxis, and hotel suggestions and booking at our next destination. Our room was very clean, spacious, and the included breakfast was very good. Gabriel at the front desk was polite, efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and very sympathetic to our emergency situation. He rates 5-stars!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 5 days and we loved every minute ! It was amazing ! People were lovely and anything we needed help with such as public transport or ordering a taxi they were happy to help. We booked breakfast included which was definitely worth it as the breakfast had a variety of options and it was delicious. The location of the hotel wasn’t in the central of Pisa but still a great place to have it and a bus stop is right outside the hotel so once we had figured out the bus system it was super useful. Overall a great hotel and great customer service.

I booked this hotel after seeing another reviewer say that they stayed here as a solo female traveller and found it clean and safe. I would echo this reviewer's comments. I stayed here for five nights, and used Pisa as a base to travel to other places (namely Lucca, Firenze, and Siena) so wanted somewhere within a reasonable walking distance of the train station as I envisioned returning to the hotel when it was dark. I took the 'Pisa mover' shuttle from the airport to Pisa Centrale station (which cost €5 and took around 5 minutes), and then the walk to Hotel Bologna with my suitcase was in pretty much a straight line through the main square and down paved and well lit streets. It took around 7 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. I arrived at Hotel Bologna at around 10:00 and was able to leave my suitcase in a secure room (no charge) whilst I spent the day exploring Pisa. I came back around 18:00, collected my case, and formally checked in (although I could have checked in at 13:30) before heading out for dinner. Staff were mainly young and male, and were pleasant and spoke very good English. I was allocated room 16 which was on the first floor and overlooked the small car park and a patio area. There was no external noise apart from the odd aeroplane which cannot be helped anywhere in Pisa, although I imagine that (1) people might use the patio for drinks in better/warmer weather which would bother me if they were rowdy; and (2) people in the rooms which overlook the road at the front of the hotel (Via Giuseppe Mazzini) might experience a bit of traffic noise. The internal walls seemed quite thin and I suspect that the bathroom of the adjoining room was located right next to my bed as it was noisier than expected when they were having a shower and talking in the bathroom. However, luckily, the people next door weren't particularly noisy and showered at a reasonable time, so it didn't bother me per se. I stayed in a single room (single bed with en-suite) which was definitely big enough for just myself/did not feel cramped. The room was decorated in a more 'traditional Tuscan style' (think greens, reds, and golds) so not particularly 'instagram worthy' but neither am I. The room and bathroom felt and were kept very clean by housekeeping, as were the bedding and towels. The bathroom contained a toilet, shower cubicle with sliding doors, bidet, sink with large mirror, tissue dispenser, sanitary bag dispenser, toilet brush, bin with lid, and hairdryer. You receive complimentary shampoo, body wash, intimate wash, vegetable based soap bar, shower cap, and shoe sponge. In the bedroom there is another bin and a desk and chair with large mirror. Underneath the desk is a mini fridge containing a range of drinks and snacks, which I removed and instead used the fridge to store my own food and drink which I purchased from a Carrefour Express minimart which was a circa 5 minute walk away near the main shopping street. We stayed in Pisa for one night. The communication with the hotel was excellent even though I reserved the room just a few minutes before arriving. The staff was wonderful, both at the front desk and at the breakfast buffet. Based on the Staff's recommendation we found also a great restaurant nearby. The breakfast was very nice, good quality local products, the check-in and out process was fast, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Ottima l'opportunità di andare in piscina con possibilità di poter noleggiare l'ombrellone e le sdraio. Unica carenza non è previsto il servizio di ristorazione, comunque in zona ci sono ottimi ristoranti consigliati anche dalla struttura.
