I arrived oon Thursday afternoon with a ferry booking to the UK early the following morning. The weather was horrible wet and cold but I braced myself for a long walk along the promenade as I had spent many hours sitting in the van. The walk was er bracing and when I returned to the hotel I left my jacket in the bathroom to dry off and headed to the bar cum eating house downstairs. The lovely room has a GREAT view over the promenade so I could watch other fools getting soaked and I ordered a fantastic Aflingem beer (which they have just started serving). Then when the second beer arrived I was feeling great and so I ordered food and the fish and chips too was wonderful!!! I went to bed fairly early as I needed to get to the docks at 6am and I slept like a log. GREAT stay thank guys!!!

Such a shame that the rooms are so poor. The location is really good and the food as is usual in France was fine. We made this our annual location to visit the town. Two years running the bar has closed well before the time we were told and certainly before 9.30pm. It’s really not an ideal spot if you’re going away with friends. Disappointing.

Room was sea view which we booked could nit fault comfy bed and .took own coffee and milk own mugs as you only get paper cups but the restaurant not good order mussels came with no bread and some of the mussels not opened did say to them but nothing was done

Good bed and facilities slightly too expensive for what it was but on sea front with a surprisingly excellent buffet as a starter for dinner main course ok worth a visit very helpful staff clean room no air con

Hotel room very shabby, needs a good paint , bathroom wasn't in a good condition . Lots of noise from corridor and other rooms. However the beds were comfortable and sheets smelt fresh and clean.Man on reception was very friendly , and is in a good location for beach, shopping and terminals

What can I say that the title doesn't illude to? Lovely comfortable rooms (hairdryer included ladies!) wonderful staff nothing was too much trouble, food delicious view fantastic and only a 5 min drive from the port of Calais. All this for €49 a room

The rooms were very unclean, there were no real blankets, the walls had stains, the door was very unstable, and everything was badly soundproofed. This isn’t even worth this low price. Just the location is good. We haven’t tested the restaurant.

WARNING. Thieves. We booked the hotel and we parked beside the hotel. An immigrant took all our stuff from the roof box and put it on the beach. Than he traveled with us for about 45 minutes in it. But this is different story. We called the hotel, explained the situation and the personnel took our belongings to the Hotel De La Plage and stored it for us. Million of phone calls with the staff of the hotel and the manager Alexandra with the result - NEVER received our stuff back. Even after I sent them the empty cardboard box with paid return address - nothing happened. They took everything. All our stuff and Christmas presents. Never ever.
