Yet another brilliant stay in this charismatic hotel. We stay several times a year. The bathrooms are modern, the rest of the hotel historic. The breakfast is on the expensive side, but you will be eating it in a huge ballroom (and we are often the only people eating). The staff seem to have a high turnover, but I have never found anyone who was less than very helpful. You will have a quiet time (the building is so large you rarely encounter other guests) in a beautiful building that yells "France".

I cannot express enough superlatives about this hotel. From a warm welcome to outstanding customer service and a willingness to provide the customer with a first class experience. Melanie and Thierry put their heart and soul into the hotel and their endeavours reward the guests with a stay that far exceeds any star rating or review that I can give. If you miss out on staying at the Hotel Meurice you will regret it.

Probably our 20th or so stay at this gem of a hotel. Place has real history to it and the owners believe in old fashioned quality hospitality. Well located but in a quiet street. Breakfast is solid but for us could maybe benefit from a revamp. (Though this may be because we have had breakfast so often here) An excellent hotel.

Another great stay at Hotel Meurice with my children. The staff are super friendly and we always feel looked after. The bedding is a treat - we slept so well!! Great location with lots of shops and restaurants/bars just around the corner. See you again soon.

Wow what a place just beautiful. Staff very helpful and friendly. The bed was just the most comfortable bed ever slept in and the pillows fluffy and soft. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We only stayed 1 night but would definitely be returning

As always a comfortable clean room and somewhere to park our van with the bikes. We will always stay here even if breakfast is on the pricey side! This year seems even more pricey than before - but still a wonderful selection of breakfast food and the husband even had a cooked breakfast And wonderful staff on reception Thank you and we will return

Amazing place well located in a quiet road bit within walking distance to town The staff are friendly and English speaking which is great as our french is very little Would highly recommend the rooms are so clean and everything you need is in the room

Our regular hotel in Calais for the last 15 years or so. Sometimes we stay for just a night whilst in transit sometimes longer. A grand old dame of a hotel with an interesting history. In recent years its been tidied up by its present owner but it has retained its essential charm. (Which we like very mush) All the rooms we have stayed in are a decent size, clean, well equipped, and if you stay in one of the more expensive rooms have oodles of traditional French charm. Breakfast is solid.
