It's a nice hotel with a great location. The room is large and the breakfast is rich. However, there are some problems with the air conditioning. The hot air smells like burning. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.

The lobby environment is good, the room is clean and sanitary, and the stove and tableware are easy to use compared with similar hotels. The room area is small compared to the housing price. The breakfast is monotonous, and the lobby does not provide free self-service coffee and hot drinks.

All the staff i encountered were very friendly. Parking is valet only but the valet guys always were quick to bring my vehicle (I never waited more than five minutes even when they were busy. The room was very comfortable and quiet which is my two musts in a hotel. Security was very visible which was comforting. I always travel with just a carry on so I always need to do laundry. The laundry area was very clean and cost just $1.50 per load. Breakfast was your typical waffles, cereal, and muffin variety but it was free so no complaints here. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I never woke up achy like you do sometimes in a different bed. My only gripe was the shower head (which seems to be a standard at all the Hiltons I’ve stayed at). It doesn’t put out a lot of water pressure but if you stand there long enough you’ll get clean eventually! Very comfortable place to spend the week.

I'll get the negative stuff out of the way first. When we entered the room we noticed that it was too warm, so we turned down the A/C a bit. It seemed to help, or maybe it was our imagination. When it was time for bed we wanted it cooler because we, like most folks, sleep better when it is cool We turned it down further and there was no improvement. I held my hand to the register and the air coming out was lukewarm, not cool. We called the front desk for maintenance. Nobody came. After a half hour or so, we called again. Somebody came. He brought a box fan that he put onto the floor. He also made an adjustment to the A/C and it seemed to start working again. In the middle of the night it got hot. The A/C had stopped working. The fan provided very little relief because it was on the floor. It should have been higher. We also found the linens and towels to be of lesser quality that that in similar hotels. As to the good part, the staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel is beautiful and our stay was 5 stars. The location cannot be beat. Check-in was a breeze and we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and a beautiful fruit tart. The room wad beautifully appointed and spacious. The balcony lets you enjoy morning breakfast while breathing in the ocean air. We ate at Carbon Beach Club twice and ordered room service multiple times and the food was delicious. We also spent time on the beach and the staff set up nice lounge chairs and even provided food and drink service. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, pleasant and bent over backwards for us. One night we asked for extra Snickers because we ate the one in the minibar and they expeditiously brought us some extra. We also loved the Toto toilet and Bamford bath products that my bf ordered Bamford products before we left! The hotel is also conveniently located near the Malibu pier, Nobu Malibu and other great restaurants, Malibu Country Mart and endless places to hike. We hiked Point Dume which was just a short 10 minute drive. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit Malibu.

Hotel is good, that is, the Holiday Inn has to collect the deposit, it will take a long time to return, forced to feel very uncomfortable, it is best not to choose the Holiday Inn, basically every holiday hotel receives a deposit! While there is a lot to recommend this new hotel, not everything is fully worked out. On the positive side, service by nearly all the staff was excellent. Being new, it has a modern fresh feel to it. Rooms are good size and well laid out Very important in LA, parking is free. It is in a residential area, very close to shopping and Porter Ranch. Housekeeping not yet been figured out. Even though it was just opened, they've reverted to the COVID habit of not making up rooms during the stay. With Marriott status, they may make up the room. During our stay, they made up the room twice and missed the third time. Also, a pile of dirty towels and a bag of trash was left in the hallway for more than 36 hours. Even after it was reported to the front desk on the first day. Notwithstanding, this hotel is still recommended.

GGuest UserWe had a great stay. Our room (305) was very large and the large bed was extremely comfortable. The rooms have been refurbished since our last stay in 2019 and are greatly improved. The closet area provided ample storage and the shower room was large. We appreciated the space and amenities including hairdryer, iron and board, fridge and coffee maker. The TV area also has great storage and there was a large selection of channels. The only drawback to the room was the air conditioning noise so I used silicone ear plugs to sleep. We didn’t use many of the facilities except the gymnasium - regrettably the 2 running machines were both out of service. The pool is very small and could be noisy if your room overlooks. There are plenty of parking spaces and the location is excellent, very handy for The Calabasas Commons (a beautiful, landscaped area with a great selection of coffee shops, restaurants and stores), Malibu beaches (30 mins drive) and 405 highway. The housekeeping staff did a great job and always said hello in the corridors which was really nice. The complimentary, individually wrapped cookies at the lobby were delicious and a very welcoming touch. I have had great stays in this hotel and would unreservedly recommend to friends.

GGuest UserOverall it was pretty good, the room was spacious and the check-in process was convenient and quick. The hotel also has a swimming pool, although I didn’t have a chance to swim. The bad thing is that I had to pay the deposit twice... I couldn’t even see the toiletries in the room being cleaned after they were used up.

GGuest UserStill love this place, it is perfect for those who are just looking for a basic, clean, inexpensive place, in a good location. Have been coming here for many years now, each time for a 3-4 day stay. After Covid, the room cleaning services changed and now you only receive towel change and trash take out each day, with full cleaning on the 6th day of stay. Unfortunately, this reduced service was not consistent. On the first day, trash was taken out and towels changed. On the second day, the towel change was left on the table by the TV. On the 3rd day, no service at all. I
