We booked a family room, with single beds for two children, for a two week holiday. On one of the first nights, one of the children felt a big bite and - thinking it was a mosquito - killed it. She woke up to find lines of bites on her arms and legs and blood on the sheet. Within a few days both children had bites and we spotted bugs in their sheets and on the mattresses. We saw a doctor who confirmed that these were bed bug bites, giving them skin cream which meant they had to stay off the beach (on an expensive and much-needed beach holiday). They were also completely horrified and upset by having had bugs crawling over them - it was pretty disgusting. Adding insult to injury, the hotel management have done what they can to duck their responsibilities. They eventually changed our room, but didn’t offer any kind of compensation for a pretty traumatic experience on a very expensive holiday. Our attempts to follow up have fallen on deaf ears: we have contacted the health and consumer protection authorities and we’re now taking legal action. The bedbugs were bad enough. This isn’t incompetence- it’s profiteering malice. We know Sardinia well and have never experienced management like this: other Sardinian hotels are quite superb. Save yourselves the trouble and the trauma: avoid Tirreno Resort at all costs. More broadly, food is OK, hotel and beach service is mixed. This really is -not- the 4th best hotel in Sardinia.

Like to start from positive. We booked 1 bed apartment, it was fabulous, recently renovated, lots of space, stylish, great view from the balcony, huge bathroom with nice walk-in shower. Even our apartment was directly in front of pool, bar, and restaurant, when windows closed - no sounds bothered us. But my sister booked bungalow and it was very tired. After every shower she had to collect water from the floor with towels. Swimming pool is great, we had lots of fun in lazy river and enjoyed hydro massage spots. Kids enjoyed water slide very much. Nice mini golf and 3 pin-pong tables. Great water zumba and yoga classes. I was doing its every day. Point to mention, most visitors in the hotel and around are Italian. All evening entertaining is in Italian language, out of 20 TV channels in the room only 1 in English and it is France 24 news. Also be ready that most of families are with kids all ages. It was plus for us but may be not for everyone. Now my improvement opportunity offers. 1.We did not have kettle in the room only coffee machine using coffee beans (no beans were supplied) If it would be adults only hotel I understand it , but when it is family oriented hotel having coffee station and NO kettle to make tea or hot chocolate for kids. 2. Can of Cola price 3.5 euro in a pool bar I find extremely overpriced. 3. Also we found extremely expensive possibility to update from B&B we booked to half board or all incl., same rate for adults and kids. We had done it in many other hotels, and it prices were much more reasonable Nice hotel in general, friendly staff, great location next to beautiful beach. Many places to eat pizza around. Apparently, most of local restaurants do not serve salads and vegetable dishes, only pizza and pasta. Local festivals were on 3 times during week we stayed on main street of resort (50 meters from hotel)

The hotel is perfect for families with children! There are several activities at the hotel, playground, mini golf, Ping pong is an amazing giant pool! The beach is in front of the hotel with fine sand, crystal clear water and no waves, really a paradise!

We were a family of 5 staying in 2 bungalow rooms that were connected, so felt as one big family suite. The rooms were nice, aircon and bathrooms were good and spacy enough. The resort itself is really nice, big, clean, and were perfect for our family. The pool is big, and it never felt as too many people around you. Tennis courts and basket court were nice, and our kids enjoyed both. The restaurant and food is amazing. The breakfast deserves its own review - it was simply worth 5 stars, and the entire staff at breakfast was amazing. Lunch and dinner were also good, and there was new dishes every day - and always something new to taste and try out. The staff is friendly, though many of them don't speak english (- and you will be mistaken as german even if you are from scandinavia...there were some other tourists from Switzerland and Austria while we were there, but 90% are italian families) and the resort is overall very italian and run by valtur (we missed out on some information there; one evening everyone were dressed in white, the next evening in black, but since we weren't a part of valtur we simply missed out on this). The beach and surrounding nature is amazing, and do make time for going there for watching a sunrise. It is so beautiful! Tirreno is an amazing resort and your kids will love it! The food is really good, and the rooms, pool, beach, etc have everything you will need. Perfect for a good family holiday.

We had a fantastic weeks holiday with 3 generation's ranging in age from 4 to 70. The pool is huge and there are lots of fun areas for the kids to enjoy but it never seems busy for the adults to swim. Amazing water slide is great for all ages! Everything is spotless and the beach is safe and clean with lovely warm water. The food is truly amazing for a large scale buffet with incredible choice and quality. Rooms are clean and tidy with great air conditioning and the family room with 4 beds was perfect with little ones. Very few English guests but this added to the sense of being abroad. Would definitely recommend

Spacious Rooms, but Disappointing Service and Beach. My recent stay at this hotel left me with mixed feelings. While the rooms and cleanliness were commendable, the overall experience was marred by several drawbacks. Let’s start with the positives. The rooms were nicely appointed and kept clean throughout our stay. It was evident that the housekeeping staff took good care in maintaining the accommodation. However, the negatives outweighed the positives. The service provided by the hotel staff was subpar, lacking the warmth and attentiveness one would expect from a hospitality establishment. (No good morning etc.) The ownership of the staff and the director was questionable, as they seemed indifferent to guest needs and concerns. Questions were often not handed with interest or helpfulness. The beach experience was far from ideal as well. It was crowded, with sunbeds positioned uncomfortably close to each other, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Also did we missed the much hoped for clean water, instead we god a brownish something. There are some very recommendable beaches with crystal clear water and impeccable views nearby. So if you have a rental car or can get another way of transportation- it’s totally worth it. One aspect that truly disappointed us was the coffee from the breakfast buffet. Being in Italy, we had expected a delightful coffee experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations. The quality of the coffee served at the hotel was consistently disappointing. In conclusion, while the hotel’s rooms and cleaning were praiseworthy, the lackluster service, indifferent staff ownership, and the beach experience left me with a less than satisfactory impression. If these issues are addressed and improved upon, it could truly become a memorable destination for travelers seeking a delightful Sardinian getaway.

Excellent place, highly recommended. I went there with my wife and another family with kids and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort has everything you need. Very convenient access to a beautiful beach located just 20 meters away. The resort has their own part of the beach set with sun loungers and umbrellas and there's a restaurant and a bar as well. We surely recommend a holiday there.

Splendid place, right by the beach nestled inside pine trees; superfriendly staff, very professional, courteous and always happy to help and answer all our queries. We spent a fantastic few days there and were able to fully relax. Very quiet and comfortable, the beach is splendid and the water has an incredible color. Sun loungers and beach umbrellas set up by the resort are an added bonus and really worth it. There's a restaurant and a bar on the beach, and staff there is very friendly as well.

Staff, services and facility met our expectations. The location of the facility is optimal: two wonderful coves and a thick pine forest surrounded by typical Mediterranean scrub. It is possible to do various sports and outdoor activities. It is ideal for spending relaxing but also very active vacations.
