We had a fantastic three day stay at Farragut. The airport coach transfer was around an hour. The hotel is immaculate. Spotlessly clean and the grounds are well kept. Check In was fast and efficient, all reception staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Powerful shower, fridge with water provided. Kettle, tea, coffee, crema etc. We brought extra tea and sugar and purchased a milk from the hotel supermarket (which is accessed from the carpark). The Tv had bbc news. Our balcony overlooked the carpark, tennis courts, sea. Wonderful to hear the sound of the sea day and night. The pool area was clean, no issues getting sunbeds no matter what time we went down. The most spectacular views over the cove, such a relaxed atmosphere. The views from the roof top pool bar were incredible. The pools are salt water so you float easily. All the drinks we had were great. Mahou beer, cava, cocktails, sangria. All of the food was good, all fresh and so many options. Breakfast was everything you could imagine, full English (Inc regular sausages and hash browns), and continental with meats, cheese, so much fruit and cereals, pancakes, breads. Lunch and dinner had plenty of options with meat, salads, veg, paella, pizza, pasta, chips. There is a small children's pool with a slide and we saw a kids club room. There were not many children around and I wouldn't say the facilities are the best we've seen for kids. The mini disco was a video playing on the stage. We got a bus to the citadella from outside the hotel. 1.70 euro one way and it took about 30 minutes. The cove area next to the hotel is stunning. Just a 10 minute walk down the cliff paths. Plenty of entry points to the water. You will need sea shoes as its rocky. All the local shops sell them. We enjoyed walks in the immediate vicinity. Lots of gift shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Walk left out of the hotel and there is a beautiful sunset bar. Walk straight up the road and there is a bar selling frozen pints for 3 euro. Jimmy hills has a lot going on and reasonable drinks. We had a lovely meal at Yuca on our last night. The 25euro set meal was outstanding value for money.
