The whole experience was excellent. All staff were great and efficient. Great quality food and drinks, particularly considering quality cost ratio. All common areas, and room continuously being cleaned. Definitely a place I would like to repeat next year.

Where to start... 1) Upon arrival, we were required to send our reservation confirmation. I don't understand why, since the hotel had our reservation in its system (same for all other guests). 2) Cleanliness: 3/10: Upon arrival, I requested an immediate change of sheets because there were stains on both beds (thanks very much to the housekeeper who arrived in 30 minutes). Overall, the room doesn't feel clean due to the dated furniture. The bathtub - better to take a shower. 3) Food: I paid for an all-inclusive package for two people, and in the end, we didn't eat anything. When I saw the buffet the first night, I thought it was a bad joke... I'm not a complicated person, but I've never seen such a poor buffet/selection in any hotel in my life. 4) The hotel is an apartment/hotel with a small kitchen, but no equipment is provided. What's the point? 5) The room doesn't really match the pictures on the booking website. The only positive thing is the lovely reception staff and housekeepers... but that's not enough for a pleasant stay. If you don't want to be disappointed, choose another hotel!

The truth is that for the price we paid for the all-inclusive package, we couldn't ask for more. The food was fine, perhaps lacking in variety, but we didn't complain. The staff was excellent. What I didn't like was that it was infernally hot on the island and they didn't have air conditioning in the facilities where the staff was working (the dining room air conditioning was turned off at 3:00 PM regardless of who was there). It's a hotel geared toward foreign tourists. Dinner is served until 9:00 PM; in my opinion, they should extend it to 10:00 PM. There are plenty of activities. The pool hours are too limited (10:00 AM-6:00 PM), and at 6:00 PM, you still want to stay and swim. Otherwise, everything was fine.

We recently travelled as a family of 9 (7 adults and 2 children), staying across 3 rooms at the La Mirada hotel. On reading the negative reviews, we were apprehensive - however the reviews do not reflect our lovely experience at this hotel. The rooms are basic and the air-con system definitely needs attention. However, the hotel is clean, staff and helpful and friendly and the pools and pool areas are excellent. The pools were very well maintained and plenty big enough for all customers across the main pool and smaller children’s pools. We were easily able to get sunbeds together (as a group of 9!) even after returning to the hotel in the afternoon. The €1 deposit for cups and plates is a fairly standard practice and ensured the pool area was kept clean and tidy - no issues at all getting the deposits back at the end of the day. There are plenty of drinks (including cocktails, wines, beer and soft drinks) included in the all-inclusive, as well as unlimited ice-creams and lollies throughout the day. The hotel is just across from a beach which also has a starfish boat pick up point if wanting to join a boat-trip. There are plenty of nice bars and shops within walking distance of the hotel. Be mindful of wait times for taxis to Cala D’or (even when booked by the hotel or waiting at the taxi rank the other end) - we didn’t find the local taxi service to be very efficient but there is a reliable bus service within walking distance of the hotel. Overall a pleasant budget-friendly stay!

Just got home from a week's stay in this hotel. It's incredibly dated and basic and exceptionally overpriced. The rooms were barely adequate, and the cleaner was bone idle - daily. The water in the hotel that runs from the taps is salt water, so don't expect to feel clean at any point during your stay. The shower afforded barely a trickle of water, and the temperature was erratic. The food was pretty horrendous unless you liked salad, cold meats, and cheese. We ate out almost every night, which cost a small fortune but was worth it. The only saving grace was the pool snack bar, but you need to LOVE burgers as that's almost all that's on offer. Nothing was kept clean and tidy except the reception area. There are not enough staff to clear and clean tables or keep eating areas tidy. One young lady, Marta, seemed to be doing the job of several staff and was constantly being asked to do more by the manager. Which she did. Bit of a scramble for sunbeds at around 9.30am if you wanted to sit by the pool. You had to pluck them from a stack and lay them out yourselves. We preferred the Solarium, just up the stairs by the pool bar. Plenty of sunbeds, but another area never checked, cleaned, or tidied. The plus points... the atmosphere was relaxed, decent location near beaches and shops/restaurants and the beds were comfortable. We would return to Cala Egos in a heartbeat but not to this hotel. We had a great holiday - DESPITE it. Not BECAUSE of it.

Paid for Centre Parcs, got Butlins.... Arrived at 3am, greeted with an unexpected "tax" of 2ish euros per day per person, payable immediately at the reception. Grumpy staff, very basic accommodation, ants invasion and the weirdest pillows. In a nutshell. On a more positive note, great location, beach across the road, the building itself is lovely and there is a pool, although it only operates 10 - 6pm. Food, paid for half board, breakfasts are quite nice, certainly sufficient. The dinners are great, if you have the culinary requirements of a 6 year old at a summer camp. Entertainment is fun, loud and the staff is enthusiastic, which is great. All in all, we laughed, otherwise we'd cry

Firstly let me say we have stayed here before (6 years ago). We liked it so much we booked again this year. Now being four adults (two being teenagers). How wrong this decision has been. Do not book this hotel if you have kids (or adults) who want to enjoy themselves. No inflatables in the pool, now that I can be on board with however when lifeguard is literally testing if toddlers can swim before allowing them arm Bands or a very small rubber ring it really is a bit extreme. Not even allowed a small ball in pool. DARE U HAVE FUN honestly some of the stuff this lifeguard is telling u off for like a school child is ridiculous! No drink near the pool. So even if ur child won’t get out to have a drink of water in the heatwave u can’t bring them to the side to take a drink. That doesn’t affect us as we have no young children but I want to be honest for people. The kids pool is up some steps, not handy if ur bringing a pram/buggy with you. Pool is open 10-6 some people like to have a swim early when it’s quiet but you can’t do that here. They start kicking u out at 5.45. It’s now a non smoking/vaping hotel. They have an area at front of hotel where u can go. This is a small area and after working hard to quit smoking and switching to vaping I had to sit and smell the smoke. Also if anyone is coming or going with kids etc the only way out is to walk through all the smokers. Next on to air conditioning, I’m just going to tell you now there isn’t any, any booking agent is talking out their backside when they say it has air con! The system is there but none of it works accept in reception. As I say we have stayed here before and it was working then. Repeatedly asked for the first 5days can someone look at it and they told us yes at 5pm etc. still waiting. Everyone is complaining about it. I contacted a company who rent out aircon units and thought this would save us a bit, but they replied to say Gavimar don’t let them in. Next, entertainment in all fairness to the small team of 4 they really do their best with the small budget I’m sure they have and it is the best part of this hotel, and restaurant and bar staff too very friendly. Best entertainment for us was watching people and guessing when lifeguard would go tell them off. lol Receptionists really are rude! I’m sure they are fed up with constant complaints but manners cost nothing! SAME 6 SONGS PLAYED EVERYDAY FOR TEN DAYS AROUND THE POOL! One of the songs used to be one of my favourites, never wanna hear it again. WiFi will only work in reception and a little by the pool, they gave an information sheet on arrival and it tells u a password, I couldn’t get it to work and asked for some help at reception. She told me to connect to the unsecured one and that It doesn’t say that on the sheet. Then proceeded to shout at me! I still have the sheet lol also it’s in English so can’t really say I can’t read it. Location is spot on also part of reason we came back. (Won’t make that mistake again

There was no other words describe this hotel. 1st night woke up after finally getting to sleep with a fan blurring away as air con wasn't working . Room was covered in ants and had to empty our entire cases. Rooms are very basic. We demanded tomorrow rooms which was better but air con still wasn't get. Pools are opened from 10am till 6pm which is rubbish . The pools ain't big enough . Dining area is very dirty and food isn't much to choose from know it's a 3 star but definitely not worth the money all inclusive and ate out most time. Drinks have to pay euro for cup which you keep turning your stay. Lot of the staff I feel are overworked and reception just are so rude. Look at reviews dont stay here coz far better 3 stars about . Dirty and stinking rooms people sitting outside front smoking doesn't look great when you pull up. Not allowed to smoke anywhere inside or outside in the hotel. We made our stay by going out and seeing places as lovely area just shame about this hotel. Definitely not be coming back even if it was for free
