The whole experience was excellent. All staff were great and efficient. Great quality food and drinks, particularly considering quality cost ratio. All common areas, and room continuously being cleaned. Definitely a place I would like to repeat next year.

Where to start... 1) Upon arrival, we were required to send our reservation confirmation. I don't understand why, since the hotel had our reservation in its system (same for all other guests). 2) Cleanliness: 3/10: Upon arrival, I requested an immediate change of sheets because there were stains on both beds (thanks very much to the housekeeper who arrived in 30 minutes). Overall, the room doesn't feel clean due to the dated furniture. The bathtub - better to take a shower. 3) Food: I paid for an all-inclusive package for two people, and in the end, we didn't eat anything. When I saw the buffet the first night, I thought it was a bad joke... I'm not a complicated person, but I've never seen such a poor buffet/selection in any hotel in my life. 4) The hotel is an apartment/hotel with a small kitchen, but no equipment is provided. What's the point? 5) The room doesn't really match the pictures on the booking website. The only positive thing is the lovely reception staff and housekeepers... but that's not enough for a pleasant stay. If you don't want to be disappointed, choose another hotel!

The truth is that for the price we paid for the all-inclusive package, we couldn't ask for more. The food was fine, perhaps lacking in variety, but we didn't complain. The staff was excellent. What I didn't like was that it was infernally hot on the island and they didn't have air conditioning in the facilities where the staff was working (the dining room air conditioning was turned off at 3:00 PM regardless of who was there). It's a hotel geared toward foreign tourists. Dinner is served until 9:00 PM; in my opinion, they should extend it to 10:00 PM. There are plenty of activities. The pool hours are too limited (10:00 AM-6:00 PM), and at 6:00 PM, you still want to stay and swim. Otherwise, everything was fine.

We didn't know what to expect. We had an apartment and it was comfortable, clean and the air-conditioning worked well on the hottest days. Food - always something for everyone and we certainly didn't go hungry. Don't read too much into the negative reviews...also, its in a great spot for walking to beach and shops. We really enjoyed our stay 😃

Had a weeks stay here at the beginning of August. Firstly, the price of this hotel compared to other 3stars is ridiculously expensive- so you would think good things for the price. On arrival check in took forever- the receptionist wasn’t helpful. The food was diabolical and not much choice. Every time you’d walk in to get food the smell of fish would hit you in the face and put you off eating anything. I ate fruit and got snacks from the nearby shop. The rooms are very dated and smell very musty. The bath was yellow and stained and you never felt clean- also because the water was salt water. In the night you’d wake up with ants crawling on you all in the beds, I would say this would interfere with your sleep but the hardness of the beds do anyway- it’s like sleeping on a brick. The aircon in the room was ok, we got lucky on that one. The only positive is the beach is a two min walk away but get there early in summer months as it gets busy. Overall I would never return, never recommend to anyone and definitely wouldn’t even consider it a 3 star. If it was possible I would say zero stars. If you’ve already booked then I’d consider changing hotel or go knowing what it’s like and make the best of it- you can either laugh or you’ll cry.

Well, the hotel was nice, the rooms where average, the pool and entertainment was good and enjoyable, the food was decent, the WiFi is not good and unstable, the floor in the rooms and the hotel was very slippery, causing some wheelchair and crutches users issues, the lift to some rooms in the hotel was up a flight of stairs which too caused problems, staff where friendly and spoke good English. I wouldn’t stay again but I would recommend for a low budget trip that gets you good amenity’s.

We were a bit apprehensive before coming due to the negative reviews but we had a great time. Anne on reception was actually very nice and helpful and helped us save money on our boat trip. The entertainment staff were constantly on the go and got people involved while not being overly intrusive of your holiday. The kids were entertained by the quiz and we had a go at the karaoke to join in. If that's not your thing cala dor is a 20 minute walk away or the cala egos town had a nice cocktail bar and some nice restaurants. Bar staff were friendly especially Eddie and we had a good range of drinks the vodka slush was a winner. The food was fine, not gourmet restaurant standard but you are in a hotel with mass catering, the breakfasts had pancakes, proper sausages, bacon, eggs, beans and has browns as well as pastries, croissants etc and ham cheese and other bits. The dinners i had were turkey skewers, paella, chicken salad, lasagne, pizza and a seafood salad which were all well cooked. The grill station has fresh food each day that you can wait for. We got sunbeds every day by the little pool but there were plenty about. There are two beaches close by which are gorgeous and really good for snorkeling The air conditioning could do with being better would be my only complaint.

Just returned from 10 fantastic days at the Gavinar with our 3 girls (8, 12 & 14). Had an amazing time. Food excellent, drinks plentiful and the measures generous. Great location literally 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach with a Cafe and toilets. Pristine waters with lots of fish for snorkeling and walm turquoise sea. Go during the late afternoon / evening for a cooler and less busy experience. The Stargish glass bottom boat picks up there and the tour to see dolphins and swim is expensive but worth every penny. We saw a pod and were able to view them underwater through the glass boat walls of the catamaran. The resort is on your doorstep with bars and shops open till late. Hotel rooms are spacious, the pool is plenty big enough and you can always get a sun lounger or table by the pool/bar - and wider hotel facilities great (gym definitely needs more equipment mind - like a bench and some free weights but the Smith machine and cables provide enough to keep you ticking over). What really made it for us was the entertainment team and bar staff - just so friendly and great fun! Eddie Christian, Huan, Danny, Paola and everyone do their utmost to bring the holiday vibe and crank up the fun factor with plenty of games and shows. We would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the one missing key ingredient - air con. The only place that had functional aircon was the gym - the rest of the building including the rooms had something that simply didn't work which made it uncomfortable for living and sleeping in over 30 degree heat. It does affect your enjoyment - despite the best efforts (working long days in the heat) of the amazing staff and the otherwise great hotel in a fantastic location.
