Stayed for four nights. Set back from the seafront in a quiet street. Two minutes walk to Cala Gran beach. Beautiful pool area and grounds. Comfortable lounge and dining area in classic style. Upgraded to premium room. All amenities there. Room is ultra modern which is not in keeping with the rest of the hotel and looks basic. Very clean throughout hotel and staff extremely attentive. Isobel in particular was superb. Her customer service was exceptional. A lovely stay but just short of five star experience in our opinion.

We have just returned from here on our honeymoon . The trip was recommended and booked for us and could not be faulted . It was a relaxing week and the staff are so happy , hardworking and friendly . They go above and beyond ! The room was lovely and kept clean and service across the hotel was exceptional . The beach is only a 5 minute walk away plus more restaurants etc. We were half board and the food was fantastic . An abundance of fresh food every day . We would recommend and hope to come back . We were somewhat aware that the hotel might not fully live up to its 5-star rating, but upon arrival, it became clear that it was at best a 4-star, more like 3+. When you’ve paid for a luxury experience, that’s just not acceptable. The rooms were worn down, the bathrooms didn’t feel clean – mostly due to old grime that couldn’t be removed. The furniture was in poor condition, some pieces literally falling apart. Our "junior suite" was like a dark cave, nothing like what you'd expect from that room category. When we asked to switch rooms, we were actually downgraded – they refused to offer a complimentary upgrade, even though our original room was clearly not up to standard. That felt both stingy and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the new room also had its share of issues. It wasn’t fully clean, and there were ants in the room – not exactly what you hope for in a supposedly luxury hotel. The only thing that actually lived up to expectations was the pool area and the indoor pool – both were nice and well maintained. Sadly, that’s not enough when everything else is falling short. The food was mediocre, and the service was dreadful. Everything took far too long, and several staff members seemed lazy and uninterested. In summary – the hotel did not live up to what we paid for, and we won’t be returning. Not recommended if you're looking for a genuine 5-star experience.

Great hotel and staff. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Clean hotel with lovely pool and jacuzzi in lush gardens. Food super. Great breakfasts included. Lunch and fine dining dinner available. Short walk to a lovely sandy beach as well as the lively town. Great harbour with many shops and restaurants.

This is such a lovely hotel that cannot be faulted. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were treated so well by all staff members and a special mention to Stefan who always went out his way to look after us thank you Stefan. The hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Cala D’or in such lovely landscaped grounds but close to all amenities when you needed them, shops, beaches, restaurants and bars. We stayed in a Junior Suite with kitchen located in the main building to the side of the hotel over looking the garden’s. The room was lovely the balcony was great and the bed was to die for. We had lunch on one day at the pool side bar which was lovely but we didn’t do breakfast but the buffet did look amazing though. In summary cannot fault this hotel and it’s location and will hopefully be back again next year.

To begin with: If you're going to Mallorca, and you're looking for a beautiful and quiet place to stay close to the beach and the town, I would indeed recommend this place warmly. Our family (2 adults, 2 small kids) truly enjoyed our stay thanks to the spacious room (junior suite with kitchenette), absolutely lovely and lush garden, great pools and overall tranquil ambience. We had this place recommended from friends, and it really feels like a gem! However, a few things did disappoint, where we felt the hotel did not live up to its 5* and rather steep price point. The service was mostly kind and warm, but having stayed in several high-end hotels, it also at times seemed a bit unfocused and not very customer-centric. As an example, we had booked a kitchenette in order to be able to prepare food for our youngest one. The kitchen was extremely simple and lacked basic stuff like handkerchiefs and cutting boards. When we asked the reception for a cutting board (pretty impossible to go without), we were met with a confused reaction and initially told that they didn't have any, but that they could check. It then took some time before we got one. We were surprised that this was apparently an odd request. We also experienced more than once that the cleaning was quite insufficient: dishes were not done, there was visible dirt in the bathroom etc. After mentioning this to the staff, it improved a bit, but I would still say that it's far from the standard I had expected for the paid price. We also had a rather unfortunate experience when we were leaving, where we asked the hotel to book us a taxi for the airport. We had clearly asked for child and infant seats, but when the driver arrived, he had no idea how to install these, neither had the personel from the reception who tried to help us. A couple of times they told us, it was all good, when in fact the seats were not at all fastened to the base. I might be a neurotic mom, but to be honest, this was quite unsettling to me, and the hotel did very little to accomodate us or apologize for the situation. Again,I had expected more, and it was just an unpleasant way to end our vacation. I would absolutely recommend this place, but to me it's closer to a high-end bed and breakfast than a 5* hotel.

Enjoyed an 8 night stay here in October and absolutely loved it. I’ve got one minor moan, which I will get out of the way now. The cocktails at the pool bar are truly awful. Please reassess these and get them up to the required standard for 2025. I don’t need them particularly strong, but these had almost no alcohol in, or any discernible taste come to that. At 10:euros a go, they have to be better. Eg, the pina colada was like a thin, weak fruit juice. It’s a shame, as the food at this bar is absolutely lovely, and exceeded expectations. Let me put this into perspective, it’s the only tiny moan in an otherwise wonderful hotel, and in no way a deal breaker. In fact, I’m already planning my next stay, and for much longer next time! The hotel is an oasis of calm amongst the bustle of the town, yet only a modest walk away from everything could need. The rooms are well appointed, and are kept immaculately clean. All of the staff here are very good, which is a common theme across Melia hotels, and they make a huge positive difference to the experience. Stefan and Stephanie, who were the main staff members I dealt with, are consummate professionals, and still smiling despite being at the end of a long season dealing with the public! Both are so helpful, and a credit to the Melia brand. As I said, can’t wait to return!
