Hotel is very clean, the all inclusive food is about the standard of a 3 star hotel. What we ate was fine, plenty of choice. We did eat out a few evenings out of choice which we planned to do anyway, but overall the food was plentiful, hot and good enough.
The noise from outside the hotel woke us up early each morning. First night, a gardener cutting the trees woke us at 8am. Second night, cars using their horns around 8am, this is by no means a hotel fault! It couldn't be helped. Third night, which sounded like a cleaner using a vacuum as early as 8am?
On the last day at 10.15am prior to checkout the cleaner walked into the room expecting us to be out, we were semi dressed which was slightly embarrassing! Surely cleaner shouldn't be going into the room until after the 11am checkout time?
The close area to the hotel is very clean and lovely, although on a cold, cloudy day, we struggled to find something to do within the area as we had already visited the marina the previous day. I wouldn't recommend this area for children as close by there is very little else to do other than beach or swimming pool activities. If I were to stay in cala d'Or again I'd consider renting a car so we had more freedom to visit further.
Overall, the hot is fab, we really couldn't complain at all for the price we paid.

It’s a little bit old one and included so I have some meals the meals are good and do the hotels in normal location in Resort parking lot but in front of the building there are several social parking lot. You can park your cars in.

If you're looking for a cheap all inclusive holiday with excellent customer service, a pool, and an amazing kids club you won't be disappointed! We booked 5 days all inclusive for 3 adults and 1 child My parents and my son are fussy eaters but they found something to eat everyday we were there We were near the beach which was great but other than the train/bus tour ride there wasn't a lot for my 9 year old to do nearby. The kids club (mini club) provided by the hotel was excellent and my son really enjoyed spending 2 hours there but it's only on selected days. We visited 8-13 April 2025 and the outdoor pool was very cold but isn't a lot worse than a lot of UK leisure centre swimming pools. You may hear a bit of noise from drunk guests or locals but my son is a light sleeper and slept through everything. The hotel is huge and a bit of a maze! The gentleman who greeted us was helpful in marking out areas on the paper map when we arrived but being shown to our rooms would have reduced stress levels a lot. We were very happy overall and would definitely recommend the place and the amazing hard working staff who are excellent

I am here now. It’s true it’s a very basic hotel regarding the rooms etc but they are comfortable and clean! Bed nice and comfy! 9 of us came, 5 adults, 2 x 15 year olds and a 2 and 6 year old. We were in rooms 201,203 and 205 and first night here they had karaoke and the walls were vibrating in 201 til late, I could hear it very clearly in the other rooms but we took ear plus thank god and worked a treat! So if you want quiet at night don’t go in any of these rooms! I was told when it’s this time of year they do tend to have the entertainment in that part of hotel but warmer season is downstairs so might be ok in those rooms then! Also my daughters room (203) absolutely reeked of stale smoke so I’m assuming a previous occupant was smoking in there which is unfortunate, no fault on the management they can’t see what people are doing behind closed doors! So made sure doors were left open to get the air in and sprayed some air freshener. Obviously it’s quiet this time of year so no issue with getting sun beds. Food is great, something for everyone. The snack bar is your usual burgers, nuggets, fries, etc. Staff are absolutely great, friendly and helpful. I asked for a kettle and more pillows and had these in my room within half hour. Would we come back? Yes we would! This hotel is in a lovely area with the most beautiful beach on the doorstep and lots of shops and restaurants within a 5/10 min walk, some closed due to time of year but were told alot more opening today. We are all happy and wished we booked longer than 5 days!

Just about to leave and I must say im gutted . We have had such a lovely holiday . Hotel is fantastic in such a great location stones throw from the beach and shops / bars . Staff are lovely . Room bit basic but clean . Food exactly what you would expect from all inclusive , plenty of choice . Entertainment bit hit and miss we went to local bars after a couple of nights much better . All in all great hotel pools are excellent .

We stayed at Gavimar Cala Gran Costa del Sur Hotel & Resort and were left disappointed. The rooms are very basic and the food equally so. Restaurant staff were unhelpful – we asked if we could move a table so our family of 10 could sit together, but were refused. Even worse, the restaurant manager rudely turned the lights off at 3pm to force everyone out after lunch, without so much as a polite notice or “we’re closing in 10 minutes.” Very unprofessional. On the positive side, the reception staff were excellent – friendly and helpful – and the location is fantastic. However, there are plenty of better hotels in the area and we wouldn’t stay here again.

I’m pleased to give the Gavimar Cala Gran a 5-star review, as it exceeded almost every expectation I had for a 3-star hotel. We initially booked self-catering, but a small issue with the room arose. The manager resolved it quickly and genuinely sought a solution to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. He arranged an alternative room we were very happy with and offered us an upgrade to all-inclusive, which we paid for. We were not disappointed and completely satisfied with the food at all meal times. Throughout our stay, the manager was consistently present and attentive to guests’ needs. A major highlight was the location — just a short walk to Cala Gran beach, reachable without crossing roads. The beach itself is one of the best we’ve visited: soft sand both on the shore and underfoot in the sea, with no pebbles or rocks. The turquoise water was warm, crystal clear, and perfect for swimming.
