Stayed for one night as part of a three-week birding trip to North Peru. This is a beautiful old hotel with carved wooden doors and panelling and a fountain in the centre of a comfortable communal area. The room was pleasant with thick, firm mattresses and good quality bedding. The shower heat was good and the flow reasonable. There was also hot water in the basin. The staff were all very friendly and we enjoyed a lovely brandy-based welcome drink at the bar (although service was a bit slow). Our evening meals were all good and included trout in garlic sauce, chicken and spag' bol'. The buffet breakfast was of equal quality and included lovely rolls, good coffee, fruit and cheese etc. WiFi was good. The location is excellent, close to the central square in the historical area. The price for al this was pretty reasonable. Recommended!

El hotel para descansar está muy bien, sin embargo la experiencia en el restaurante no es la mejor, no hay variedad en el desayuno. A la hora de la ducha el agua estaba helada, no calentó nunca. La ubicación es buena y probablemente vuelva, esperando que hayan mejorado esos aspectos.

No nos alojamos en el hotel, pero fuimos a su Restaurante los Faroles, para almorzar. La experiencia fue pésima. Nos tomaron la orden y a los 10 minutos regresó la señorita que nos atendió para tomarnos nuevamente la orden (¿?) Nos dijeron que los pedidos llegaban en en 30 o 35 minutos. Pasados 40 minutos llegó un plato y una jarra de carambola. A los 50 minutos llegó el segundo plato y una jarra de liimonada. Pasada más de una hora llegaron los otros 3 platos y a pesar que nos tomaron 2 veces la orden, los platos no llegaron como los pedimos. La comida estuvo agradable, pero no justifica el tiempo de espera, y el momento pasado, pues el restaurante no estaba lleno. Definitivamente, no pensamos volver.

La excelente ubicación a una cuadra de la Plaza de Armas de Cajamarca acompañado de un inmejorable servicio hacen de este Hotel un lugar para recomendar y para regresar. Y ni hablar del Restaurante Los Faroles que se ubica dentro de sus instalaciones que tiene una variada carta con muy bien elaborados platos y esmerada atención.

Fue la mejor opción en cuanto a precio-calidad. Habitaciones muy limpias y personal muy atento y amable. Un agradecimiento especial a Maritza y al Sr. Manuel, que hicieron que la estudia sea totalmente agradable.

me gusto mucho el hotel, la casona antigua le da un toque interesante, el desayuno me pareció bueno y suficiente, su ubicación es buenísima ya que esta a pocos metros de la plaza de armas y todos los tours salen y llegan alli mismo ademas hay muchos retaurantes y lugares para comprar jugos, galletas y lo que se antoje. lo recominedo

No tenian botiquin, se les pidio calentar una comida en el microondas y a pesar que informaron que si podian no sabian usarlo, la comida llego luego de 1 hora de espera y fria. La mejor trabajadora fue Janet..se preocupo de que no nos falte nada sobretodo en los desayunos y buscaba que tengamos lo que requeriamos.
