I must admit stuff was very friendly however I was disappointed with the prize when you think about staying in dormitory in eight mixture men and woman $28 is a lot for a backpackers, especially in Cario.
However, I have to admit Leyla Hostel is NOT the only one. Everybody in Egypt triple their price if you are foreigner. Unfortunate day see us as a walking dollars not a human being.
The hostel organize a cruise for US$10. I went with excitement, but that was also disappointment because it was literally floating nightclub on the river, not moving to not consume gasoline and selling alcohol to make extra money.

We love our stay at Hostel Layla! It’s the best I’ve stayed in Cairo. The building is incredibly beautiful and well taken care of. Location is convenient, I’ll recommend it to whoever is coming to Cairo!!!

Honestly, I want to save this gem in Cairo a secret because I will return and I don’t want it to be overbooked. It was absolutely the best managed hostel I have EVER stayed in. Soooo clean and safe, and absolutely beautiful. I could feel the care of this historic building. Well done staff! Don’t change a thing. The swimming pool and deck were so clean and an amazing ambiance.Thank you!

Very nice hotel and fully recommend if you are travelling to Cairo and wish to have something different.
Clean rooms, very comfy bed and nice communal areas.

Location: Located in Cairo's Old City, walking is virtually impossible due to safety concerns. There are no convenience stores nearby, so delivery is required.
Amenities: Free swimming pool; laundry and drying services are provided for a fee and are provided by staff; a shared kitchen and showers with filtered showerheads are available.
Cons: The bathrooms smell due to the wastepaper collection system. The villa was renovated and has wooden floors that creak when walked on.
Overall: Despite these drawbacks, this is a recommended stay if you're looking for a safe and affordable stay in Cairo. Other than the drawbacks, everything else is positive.

It is close to the center of Cairo and the surrounding area is quiet, which is good. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. You can cook simple meals in the kitchen and there is a swimming pool. The only regret is that many Chinese people come here and they do not follow manners and make noise. Other than the district, it is a hostel with the best facilities.
