Layla Hostel

It is close to the center of Cairo and the surrounding area is quiet, which is good. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. You can cook simple meals in the kitchen and there is a swimming pool. The only regret is that many Chinese people come here and they do not follow manners and make noise. Other than the district, it is a hostel with the best facilities.

The service attitude is very good. The double room on the 3rd floor is more comfortable, with the bathroom inside the room; the double room on the 2nd floor has the bathroom outside the room; the double room on the 1st floor has a strong smell of paint.

In an inconspicuous, a little dirty alley, I can't believe there is such a nice and comfortable youth hostel. It is renovated from a villa, shaded by green trees, with a small swimming pool, a comfortable terrace and public space - if I am not socially anxious, this is simply my paradise 😂 The washing facilities are very good, and the unlimited sleeping lavender tea bags provided in the public area are delicious. Whether it is the manager of the youth hostel or the staff, they are friendly and sincere. Recommended!

We booked a place to stay on short notice and when we arrived late at night the owner still greeted us warmly and introduced the facilities in the hostel. In addition to the beautiful interior and exterior design, the hostel also provides a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, stove, pots, etc. There is even a swimming pool in the backyard. The hostel has both single rooms and dormitories, but unlike the youth hostels I've stayed in before, this one has very high floors, probably more than four meters, so even the beds in dormitories are very comfortable, and you can stand completely on the upper and lower bunks. The girls' and boys' dormitories are on different floors, and there are special toilets and showers for women only, so girls will feel very safe if they stay there alone. The single room we stayed in was very spacious, fully equipped, and had a balcony with greenery visible from the window. Unlike all the other hotels I stayed in Egypt, the bedding provided by this hostel was very new and comfortable, which is really rare in Egypt. No matter the price of the hotels I stayed in before, even the hotels in Hurghada that cost thousands of dollars a night, the sheets and quilt covers were all pilling, worn and very rough. The hostel provides complete services. Free tea is provided in the public area. There are also many tables, chairs and sofas where you can lie down or sit at will. There are special staff to keep watch at night, so it is very safe. The sanitary conditions of the entire hostel are comparable to those of a five-star hotel. It is so neat and clean that it seems like you are not in Egypt... If necessary, the owner will provide a delicious and inexpensive breakfast, which is freshly made after you order. Because we had just come from the Black and White Desert, it was difficult to wash our clothes by hand, so the boss provided laundry and drying services. The price was unimaginably low, only a dozen yuan was needed to wash and dry a bunch of clothes. There is also a cute kitten in the hostel, and most of the guests staying at the hostel love playing with her. The hostel is in a great location, right in the city center, very close to the Egyptian National Museum, and convenient for dining and shopping. I rarely write reviews seriously, but this hostel is really the most comfortable and reassuring place I have stayed in Egypt.
