Top 5-Star Hotels in Cairns

I could have given 5 stars but didn’t because I requested to give me extra 1 hour check out time but they declined. They just didn’t care at all those people on the front desk. I won’t come back there are plenty hotels in the vicinity, a little walk is good exercise; plus the night market is on the other side anyway.

The room was clean and quiet. It also had a nice view where you could see the sea and the rainforest.Service was good , and it was easy to call a taxi ,you just need to press a taxi bottom in the lobby and taxi would come to the hotel within 5 to 15 minutes .This was really cool!

Crystalbrook Bailey was my stopover hotel so I wasn't expecting anything flash etc however when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful and modern this hotel is. Such a change to a lot of the older Cairns hotels. I felt like I was in a hotel in Melbourne! Check in was a breeze and staff were lovely, I was in my room in no time at all. There is alot of stunning modern artworks all throughout the building, very cool to find as you make your way to your floor. The room was beautiful and sufficient for a one nights stay, I could have easily stayed for longer! The location is great, in the city and close to the esplanade. I would definitely stay here again!

Pullman's is close to everything in town. I rang Pullman's the day after I booked a room & asked reservations if I could get a upgrade to a harbour view, the reservations person said that yes I could get an upgrade & that it would cost me an extra $20 a night on top of what I had paid, I said should I pay for that now, they said no when you arrived it will be $80 as I was staying for 4 nights. When I arrived I asked them about my upgrade & they said there was no record of me wanting an upgrade & that they could not help with a harbour view room as they did not have any available. I had other friends staying at the hotel at the same time that paid for mountain views & got harbour views. The furniture in the rooms were old & tables were swollen & had big chips out of them, outdoor table & chairs were not 5 star. We had breakfast at Coco's, I had ordered muffins, my friends had ordered omelette & bacon & eggs. I changed my mine 1 minute after I ordered, I wanted waffles I asked the staff & they said yes they would change my order. My friends order came & I waited for 20 minutes before I got my waffles. Staff were walking around the restaurant with orders & asking people had they ordered this, they had no table numbers, no idea who ordered what, they looked very unprofessional.

Service: good Hygiene: OK. I don’t know if it’s because there’s some candy left on the table. There are a lot of ants crawling everywhere. Environment: The scenery is not as beautiful as expected Facilities: The swimming pool is not deep enough to swim in, but it is quite clean.

Very nice hotel and staff within easy walking distance to the Reef terminal and esplanade where there are many restaurants and shopping. Room had a small balcony with a view of the cruise ships coming into cairns. Room was spacious and clean. had a welcome bottle of Prosecco from the staff for my Wife's Birthday!! very nice!! Highly recommend this hotel (has a nice pool too!!).

We arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm and we were able to check in straight away, the girl on reception was very friendly and explained where our room was as there are 2 towers . We were on the 10th floor with a city view. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved how they are helping with environmentally keys for your door which are just round bamboo disks and also having no plastic bottles in the fridges, just glass bottles. All tv programs were free so we’re able to watch new release movies and free wifi . We had booked a holiday package , so we also had free car parking and a $250 credit to use at any of their hotels . Would definitely stay here again .

Good location, close to the sea and convenient for eating. As the itinerary is early to late and late to return, it is basically impossible to see according to the front desk service time, and there is no way to ask questions. As soon as I entered the hotel, I gave a slip, and finally wrote that I had to clean it by myself, otherwise I was fined and I had never encountered it before. However, the kitchen utensils are very complete, the living room and dining room are large, and the room is small, which is basically useless for the large living room that is basically used for sleeping every day. It ’s convenient to have a washing machine. Although the lid ca n’t be opened completely, you can still use the clothes with one hand and the other hand. It is recommended to bring your own washing powder. It's all added soap. 2 bugs found, once on the bathroom counter and once on the restaurant floor

We stayed at Bellevue a few weeks ago for my birthday. I'd booked directly with Laura a few months before our stay. She seemed pleasant in our dealings. When we checked in, we found the apartment (no.10) to be very spacious with a great view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the standard of cleaning was disappointing. Most surfaces needed wiping properly, including a fake plant in the main living area that was covered in dust, and there were stains on some of the decorative cushions (I took pics of the plant and soiled cushions). Our kids had settled in quickly after our long journey, so I chose to hide the crusty pillows and wipe the surfaces myself. (Throughout our stay we came across other poorly cleaned items including stained bed blankets, dusty aircons and dirty dishes in the cupboard). On our first night about 9:30pm when getting ready for bed, we found that we could only lock one of the three patio doors. The sliding door could be locked without a key, but the two swing doors needed a key, which we were not provided with. I called the after hours reception number and spoke to Laura to ask how we lock the doors. She seemed shocked as to why we were questioning why the doors didn't lock, and asked whether I was worried about anyone getting in, and why we would want to lock the doors as we were on the second level. She said that ”no one had ever had a problem or mentioned it”, and it's apparently ”very safe”. When I explained that, while yes, someone getting into our apartment is a concern, it's for peace of mind as we had our kids with us. Laura said ”It's late, I'm tired, what do you want me to do?”. Her attitude was disappointing. I mean, the doors have key locks on them, why not provide guests with the key?? We were able to enjoy the view, the pool and being so close to the beach. We liked that the apartment was spacious, but overall it was quite expensive for such poor presentation. The whole apartment just needs a decent clean, which I mentioned upon checking out. All in all, yes the view from an ocean room is great, but you can get better value for money and better standards and service elsewhere.

The apartment was much bigger than we expected. Had all the amenities needed and the view was stunning. The management were fantastic and on check in asked us what we wanted to do while we stayed in Cairns then went ahead and booked things for us so we could head off and enjoy our time. They later called us to confirm what they had booked and left all the paperwork for us in our apartment. So stress free. On check out they gave us advice on other things to see in the area and were so friendly and accommodating. The location was superb and close to everything. We will be going back if in Cairns.
