Hotel, lovely, rooms generous and stylish. The breakfast good. Staff helpful. Problem. I knew there is no bar, no restaurant, no room service, no pool, BUT ... The ********** website lists this hotel with a photo of a fabulous roof terrace, high up city views etc. and this was the deciding factor in my booking here. Sundowners on the terrace, breakfast in the fresh, warm Mediterranean air. The photo has the written tag under it "City views from property". B******t. There is no roof terrace. I showed it to the day manager who put her hand to her mouth and said 'OH No. I know that place, it is bar a few streets away.' So I had booked just a room, cos this hotel has only a side terrace on the first floor fully overshadowed on 3 sides by three more floors of the building and looking directly at the towering building opposite. I complained formally to the manager who sent me the actual extranet photo he had sent to ********** for their entry with a description in Italian "Vista sulla citta", VIEWS OF THE CITY. This is is absolutely not CITY VIEWS FROM PROPERTY. So we had 5 nights, well, in a room. FURIOUS. The manager tells me that he has already closed his relationship with **********. Do not believe the ********** photos, they are inaccurate. The General Manager said "I cannot control **********, what am I supposed to do, monitor every website with our hotel details?" "Well, you knew there is a problem, why didn't you write to tell ********** bookings that the photos are not accurate?" Money! I would have cancelled, re-booked elsewhere. £704 for a room for five nights!! Not a happy bunny my son, not a happy bunny AT ALL.

If you want to stay in the Castello area, this is the place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The bathroom and shower were also clean with plenty of shelf space. Breakfast included a nice buffet and a choice of an omelette, scrambled eggs, pancakes or crepes. Carla in the kitchen had such a happy and friendly personality - she made our morning breakfast extra fun.

Sophisticated, clean, modern accommodation in the historic district of Cagliari “Castello”. The main attractions, restaurants, bars, shops are within walking distance. Easy administration, communication. The breakfast is excellent, the staff is super friendly. A huge “thank you” to Carla and Letizia, who treated our younger son (15 months old) like a little prince. ❤️ A small note: it would be good to optimize the sound insulation of the windows and doors. The street noise and loud guests are a bit annoying at night.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! To start with, it is located in the most stunningly beautiful and historic "castello" quarter of Cagliari. As if that weren't enough to draw you in, the rooms themselves are absolutely lovely -- and wonderfully appointed: all of the beauty and ambiance that one hopes for in such a historic building, but yet all of the conveniences that made our stay there truly seamless. The staff too was exceptional; to a person, all on-site personnel that we interacted with were warm, welcoming, helpful and professional -- and all of my written communications were answered promptly and professionally as well. We are already planning our next trip to Cagliari -- and already looking so forward to our next stay at the Birken Castello. Highest possible recommendation from our family!

Look no further. This is a premium quality hotel with the most comfortable bed. Modern design and great location up on the hill. The breakfast choices were just right. You will be happy here and enjoy exploring Sardinia.

We had a wonderful experience staying in this hotel. We arrived late into Cagliari and I was worried about getting to the hotel so late with young children. The communication between me and the hotel was impeccable. Check in was seamless and we were so delighted with the room. Breakfast was also so lovely with great attention to detail and wonderful service. Best of all, the hotel is perfectly positioned in the historic centre so really easy to access the main sites and then stop back in for a siesta after lunch. It was lovely having a room with a balcony facing onto the historic streets- my daughters were in awe of the tall windows and shutters. Bed was very comfortable too. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cagliari for the first time.

Abbiamo pernottato in questa struttura 7 notti e ci ha consentito di trascorrere una settimana in assoluto relax con tutte le comodità necessarie. L'albergo si trova nelle viuzze del centro di Cagliari, vicinissimo al Duomo, e consente di raggiungere la zona dei negozietti e dei ristoranti e la zona Marina a piedi. Nonostante la zona sia ztl, è possibile parcheggiare l'auto in parcheggi gratuiti nelle vicinanze. Gentilissimo il personale.. un grazie particolare a Sara, che ha reso le nostre colazioni deliziose. La colazione non è molto varia, ma offre cibi freschi di ottima qualità sia dolci sia salati. Buona la pulizia. Camera spaziosa con una doccia molto ampia. Ci permettiamo di dare qualche consiglio per rendere ancora più completo il servizio offerto. Sarebbe molto utile un piccolo frigo in camera e degli appendini per le asciugamani. Inoltre non siamo riusciti ad utilizzare la cassaforte nonostante l'aiuto della ragazza al check-in. Per il resto, tutto perfetto e, se dovessimo tornare a Cagliari, alloggeremo sicuramente nella vostra struttura!

Die Begrüßung durch Letizia war ausgesprochen herzlich. Für alle Fragen stand sie sehr hilfsbereit zur Seite und ihre Tipps waren alle super. Das Zimmer hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist ein etwas "anderes " Hotel. Für uns war es zum Urlaubsstart perfekt ‼️
