Americas Best Value Inn Arkadelphia

I was placed in the back. Very dark and creepy back there with men going in and out of their rooms. I get to my room after dragging my suitcases up the stairs. The key didn’t even work. I go to the front desk. He moved me to the front. Said he was doing me a favor because the room he was giving me was ($14.00) more. Funny thing is. When we got to the room the window was open. Me and my fiancé tried to shut it. It wouldn’t shut. The clerk wouldn’t refund. So I left and went to the Hamptons. NOTE TO SELF AND EVERYONE ELSE. **** JUST STAY AT THE HAMPTONS!!!!

We were grateful for the opportunity to rest, however, the room was basically old and needs to be updated. Attempts at repairs/remodeling were poor for room 106. I did not see any bugs at all and the room and bedding seemed clean but very worn. Had plenty of hot water. The tub, controls, and shower head were great. Bathroom and sink areas had ceiling tiles that were in poor condition. Bathroom tile work was rough. Wall work was not done well. Breakfast (continental) was not enticing. For me, I hope for better at a $76 rate tax. The appliances worked well. The mattress was okay but a little on the firm side (personal preference). The host at the desk was very nice. I did not make any requests of the staff, so, nothing to add. McDonalds right next door. Walmart and other restaurants 5 miles away. Very close to the interstate. Check in and out went smoothly. Though everything worked well, I would have to say I was dissappointed in the condition of the room for the money they charged. Thank you.

Overall it was a good stay. The room was clean, could stand to be updated, but it was suitable. Was close to Betty's Big Country Dance Hall which was where we were going. Plenty of places to eat all around.

Older property needing attention on several fronts. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The front desk personnel was helpful and nice. We only stayed 1 night and got in around 11p, but the place seemed to be relatively quiet. There were a few hot items for breakfast, oatmeal, biscuits, and gravy with a couple of not-warm options like cereal. While the rooms and property were clean, the property is older and needs some aesthetic attention. There were many scratches and/or white paint on the laminate floor in the room. The tub had some mildew areas on it. Some of the sheetrock needed to be repaired. The place had a small pool and was located next to a McDonalds and was around a few other hotels. The reason we stayed at this hotel was because it appeared to the best option of the only 3 hotels in that town that allowed pets. Given the choice again, I'd probably pick another town to find a hotel that was more updated or newer. This seemed like a property where a lot of transient workers probably just come to lay their head down for the night.

The room we had was gross: it smelled so bad. The flooring was all warped. The very bright fluorescent bedside lights made reading impossible. I had to use my phone flashlight to read. The desk clerk was very negative toward service dogs, stating that most people with them are not genuine service dogs and that people try to claim they are so they dont have to pay the fee for them. Would never stay here again. We didn’t even sleep in the bed, opting to sleep on top of the covers

The room was in OK condition, clean etc. Needed repainting and was a bit on the shabby side. Breakfast was there, but was decidedly un-impressive. Overall, about what I'd expect if it was one of the "Motel ##" type places. Fine for getting a nights sleep and a shower.

Stay clear of this place. We got 2 rooms. One room was overcome with cigarette smoke and many flies in the room. The other room was in between people that live there, and were bbqing out side late at night. Along with people upstairs vacuuming a bar floor at 2am and pounding on the floor. The itchy feeling all parties in different rooms had had us go get another hotel to bathe in. Surprised it hadn't been shut down.
