The service was fine. The configuration of the room was not. The toilet was right next to the bed and the bathroom (sink, shower) was all the way down the hall. It was very unpleasant. However, the bed was very comfortable, the robe was very cosy and the Illy coffee capsules were excellent.

Overall, it was a very unpleasant stay.
From the location and view alone, it is still good. Next, I will elaborate on the unsatisfactory aspects:
1. The hotel is relatively old, and the cabinet doors cannot be completely closed;
2. There is no shower room. When taking a shower in the bathtub, the shower curtain will suck on the body, which is disgusting. Because the shower curtain is not changed every day, I am not sure whether it is changed with the change of guests. It is scary to think about it;
3. There is a small hole in the wash basin. I found it when I checked in, but I thought that if there was no impact, it would not be covered by the warranty. As a result, it leaked during use, so I reported it for repair. The hotel actually asked if I broke it. What kind of logic is that if it was really me, why should I provide warranty? Besides, the old damage can be seen at a glance;
4. The most outrageous thing is that my credit card was successfully swiped at checkout, and I received the deduction reminder, but the front desk said that it was not received, and repeatedly asked to provide other payment methods to pay again. I refused at first, but it seemed that if I didn’t pay, they would not let me leave. I could only provide my family’s card again, and then it was issued. After nearly a month of twists and turns, the hotel finally said that they received the money paid by my card, but the payee was another property under their group, a big mistake, and then refunded it to my family's card. This is...no experience at all.
I am deeply disappointed. I will never choose this hotel when I pass by there in the future. I also advise Chinese travelers that if you must stay at their place, it is best to pay the deposit and room fee in cash.

Room 108 - facing front of hotel. King size bed and pillows very comfortable. Mini bar with complimentary water. Toilet is separate from the shower and sink. Not much storage space. Closet but no drawers. Robe and slippers provided. Breakfast buffet good; can order cappuccino, etc. and eggs.

Beautiful hotel on the sea we had a balcony sea view room that had amazing views worth every penny clean rooms - valet was quick , front desk friendly and helpful as was the concierge who helped with planning our days there with tips on D Day beach visits , cider trail and visiting a local Saturday market. Many restaurant choices and cute shops steps from the hotel would love to come back to this gem in the summer. Thanks for the memories!

The rooms were great if you have a sea view. Really beautiful in the morning and afternoon. We wanted an easy meal so we went to the hotel bar. Waited half an hour before we were asked for drinks, no drinks menu offered, we had to ask for it and then another 20 minutes to get our drinks - a glass of cocktail and a bottle of wine. Only brought out one glass so asked for another as I was there with my husband. We ordered the food - dozen oysters, cheese platter and fries. An hour later the food arrived minus the chips. We had to ask for the chips 10 minutes later as they had not brought them out. No apology or anything said from the waiter. When we went to pay, not a single thank you for being patient or tolerant of their uselessness. Not even a thanks for dining. It cost us 130 euros for rubbish food and even worse service. So disappointing and will never eat there again. It would have been better to eat at the many restaurants in the village.

Beautiful exterior and history. A gem from that point of view. Warm welcome by the valet staff and a fairly large room but not the finish or small things that you expect from a 5 star hotel. We got a room on the first floor. The main low point was that the turn down service left the door opened when we were out on dinner - not properly closed - and the main desk was not even staffed to receive the feedback from us when we came back. Pure luck everything was still in the room but that’s besides the point.
