Hospitality is a difficult business where people make the biggest difference. As frequent visitors to Cabo, we decided to stay at Diamante. It’s a timeshare property with a beautiful lagoon, and although still being built has a lot of positives. One of the highlights of our trip was the amazing staff at one of the beaches. Abraham was an amazing server who went above and beyond. He was very attentive and caring. We had a small request and he actually went above and beyond and got one of the big bosses, Enrique to come and talk to us. He came to talk to us, listened and actually went above and beyond to accommodate our request and opened the aquapark for us on the last day of our trip. He got Viktor for us who was an amazing lifeguard, and he was so good to us in our family. Honestly, these three individuals made this trip worthwhile. We are normally very picky, travelers, and business owners, and we know that people are the ones that make things happen. These individuals really did make Diamante shine for us. Even though there are some drawbacks as the resort is still being built, they made this trip, pleasant enough that we would actually consider coming back. They are a true asset to the Tafer family.

We had a lovely time at Diamante. We rented a condo online, but had access to all of the amenities of their resort. The stay was lovely, but it was made even better by a few amazing staff members that need to get recognized. Abraham, who was our server on the beach was caring, funny, amazing. We asked for a huge favor, for them to open the aquapark for us on Saturday as it was our last day. Abraham went and got the big boss, Enrique. Enrique came by and was very understanding and accommodated us and opened the aquapark for us as an exception on a day that it was not going to be open. He was very professional. The lifeguards Viktor and Christopher were also amazing as they were there for us to make sure that nothing happened to our kids. We understand that it’s really hard to please everyone, but these amazing individuals really made this trip so much better especially on our last day that left a lasting impression. Tafer Resorts should be proud to have such good folks on their team! Highly recommended them!

Own 2 weeks but since Tafer purchased several interactions have been bad and make no sense. Their exchange program is basically worthless since they offer an ‘equal’ or lower accommodation at one of their other hotels - my Villa accommodates 11 people but they only offer me a 3 BR loft in another Tafer hotel. Would never use it. Makes no sense. Next, I paid my maintenance fee for next year but realized I can’t use it next year as my family has another commitment. I’ve asked several times about giving up my week in 2025 and applying the fee to my week in 2026. I can’t get a straight answer from their reps after asking clearly about this several times. Really annoying dealing with the staff especially since I was previously told I could apply it to the following year. Now I get vague and unclear responses. Otherwise, I’d give up my week for a refund of the maintenance fee. I ‘think’ they want to keep my fee and just give me another week in 2026 but that’s not acceptable since I already have 2 weeks in 2026 and we’re not going to go to Cabo from the East Coast 3 times in a year. And then, finally, even if you try and get another week an alternative week is never available. So it’s a poor system. They keep your fee and tell you to take another week next year even if you don’t want another week AND there really no weeks available anyway. Very frustrating dealing with them. The shame is that for 12 years it’s been great. Until now.

Stay away from this scam. We got ****** in and they will not answer their phone or ever return a call. Unless you are a multimillionaire and just want to burn money do not go to Diamante as it is a total rip off. Been trying to call all afternoon and it just keeps ringing and ringing. Sent countless emails with my phone number and they simply refused to call back. Took over $100,000 of our money and still treat us like dirt.

Horrible and we are owners and still say horrible. They corner you at checkin for a member update which is ANOTHER SALES PITCH... MEMBER UPDATE MY ASS! They lied about everything and when we finally resulted to emailing everything that's when the stalling started. Literally was told it takes longer than 6 hrs to get an email response after they were given 3 full days to get the information. Amy and Paul are horrible and don't care about owners and are all about scamming. We will see now that we are requesting to sell what they so. HORRIBLE WISH WE NEVER MET THIS PLACE. BUY ANYWHERE BUT HERE

Do not buy here. I am an owner of a timeshare here. When we bought here my week included 10 rounds of golf at any time. Now the resort has sold and the new owners have changed the rules for timeshare owners and we can no longer reserve a tee time before 10:00 am. To make things worse one course closes for over a month due to the PGA tournament here in November. This pushes everyone to one course so it is almost impossible to get any tee time. No one knows what the new owners will take away next.

It’s a timeshare. The offer is that a visitor pay $40,000 or 60,000 or 100,000 down and then continue to pay $3000 or more per year and in return, you receive a room and some rounds of golf for one week every 2 years. How does this make sense? The logical Person would keep money in their own control and make choices every year about where to go. It’s a timeshare. The resort is on the ocean, but you can’t swim in it; too dangerous. It has a giant lagoon/pool but again, no swimming because it is freezing cold. There are paddle boards and kayaks with your very own personal lifeguard following right behind you. Amazingly, no charge for this, though there is a fee for the gym. Tipping is constant. Bring lots of cash. The service staff was incredible! Each employee was excellent. Because this resort is under construction and in the middle of nowhere, guests must eat at on-site restaurants. The food is fine and very expensive. At the Woods restaurant we spend $55 for WATER for our table of 8. My friends had a tough steak which was presented on a bare white plate for $100. They are the type who do not complain so I did. I am the type to complain, as you can tell. The manager offered no solution. No dessert, no taking off the bill, no handshake. These are mean streets. The golf was nice, but more money. Caddy was $200 and $25 each for candy and sausage sandwiches on the course. The wind was so wild, that your golf game goes to the dumps and that makes me glum. It’s a timeshare/prison and I won’t go back.

The overall experience is amazing. This is a truly paradise for serious golfers. 2 amazing golf courses, 1 is PGA Tour, also The Oasis Par 3 course is so much fun and affordable. The Putting course is also relaxing and amazing. The lagoon and all the amenities makes it a one of a kind resort to spend an unforgettable week. The personnel service and quality of food are great.

Diamante Cabo San Lucas was a dissapointment. We booked two weeks at the resort, but it wasn't really a resort. The room was a basic hotel room with a small kitchenette, but there was no place to sit and eat! Diamante provided all the necesary items to prepare food. This included all the pots, pans, utensils and four place mats. However the room designer failed to include a table with chairs! There is one desk and desk chair, but it doesn't work for two people. We had to stand to eat any meals that we prepared. We also had a bad experience with the front desk after we spent the first week in the room next to the where the morning sales meetings & Time share tours were held. Bright and early every morning, we would first hear furniture being slid across the floor, banging, bumping and scraping then loud voices as meeting members arrived. It was impossible to sleep in. After our first week, the desk personnel was not helpful insisting there were no other rooms available. When we asked for manager, suddenly there was a room on the lagoon level! It's just BS that we have to pull that card out and when we did, immediatley there was solution. The lagoon pool area is nice, but the seating ran out each day. AND don't go to Diamante in June -- the wind was tropical storm strength nearly every day! And it was cold too. Be sure to bring a jacket or a wind breaker at least. The golf courses are amazing, but when we visit Cabo, we like to see the ocean -- don't plan on seeing the Pacific at Diamante. The rooms are about 1/3 -1/2 mile away from the ocean. The Woods restauarant is worth visiting no matter where you are in Cabo -- absolutely outstanding! But pricey! In the studio unit, there are no king size beds, double beds only. When we made the reservations, we asked to be located near our travel-friends for convenience, but of course, we were denied this at check in. Each day, the housekeeping team would make the bed, remove the trash and change out the towels but that was it. The toiletries are better at Holiday Inn. I had to go to the housekeeping office to borrow a broom to sweep the sandy floor. We're not coming back, we'll just use this week as a trade on Third Home.
