Hacienda Tres Casitas

Simply put a restful stay. Outstanding service and amazing, fresh food. 5 star staff from front desk to dining to housekeeping. Food was well Prepared and plentiful. The variety is amazing. Lots of choices for those who are not meat eaters and delicious and fresh seafood Dishes. The room was super clean, spacious and well appointed. Can’t wait to return.

I do not recommend this lovely place for solo visitors. Given the emphasis that it's family owned (which I love!) I had expectations of a certain warmth and welcoming that did not happen during my two nights there. Technically, the owner did everything right: She was nice, competent, polite, responsive. That's perfect for most people. I was disappointed and surprised by the lack of social graces that are traditional for an attentive host, the small interactions that can make a stay feel special. For example, the first morning, when we were one on one, with no other guests present, I was not asked how my visit was going, how I slept, if I needed anything. In fact, I was not asked a single question about me, my trip, where I was from or anything whatsoever! That is unusual at a place like this. Typically a host initiates some type of conversation - which I enjoy, appreciate and welcome. When I took the initiative and asked questions, I received short, polite answers. Perhaps something was happening in her life that distracted her. People's skillsets vary at different times. These are things I am more attuned to as a solo traveler and perhaps you would not notice at all. (By the way I've traveled solo to many countries through the years and love it, so it's not like I am new to it!) Grounds are gorgeous and I am sure the upkeep is enormous so I imagine the owner is very busy. The rooms are beautiful and magical environment for sure. The homemade breakfast is delicious and made with care. Thank you! Note that the windows are latched shut with no screens (which was find because it made for great sleep), the wifi was spotty and calls dropped. None of those things bothered me at all! There was no hot water for the first night's shower and the next morning just a quick few seconds here or there. The rooms are gorgeously decorated, very classy and elegant and spacious and tidy. Topnotch! The environment is peaceful and serene and gorgeous. It is a magical space for sure. My hope is that when she reads this, the owner will, in the future, be more attuned to the next solo person to come through.

Just a surreal and amazing experience. Everything was perfect. The pool was very refreshing and kept us from overheating. The bungalow was a dream. The lighting was *chef’s kiss* perfect. Only note I have is that the rooms could use more fans since there’s no AC.

Very different experience; not for people; totally disconnected from cellular and Wifi, but connected with the nature. We sleep very well. We stay in Jibaro Roof Top and it was very good. The breakfast was included and it is excellent; Mirna gave us an great customer service. The location is perfect; close to great restaurants and Cabo Rojo beach. There is some recommendations to improve the stays: 1. There is a big swinger chair in the room that can be replace for a small table for two chairs. 2. In the terrace 1st floor happen something similar; it can be replace for a table with two chairs for share in couple a coffee or drink. 3. The terrace in the second floor is excellent, but seats should have covers; we were unable to use it; it were wet and dirty with leaves.
