Hotel Villa Taina

Pros: beach front, easy access to the beach, tranquility around the lounge beach chairs. Friendly staff Cons: hotel is dated, shower was too small. There were cucarachas coming off the AC vents. Staff came to address it right away, however. There are not elevators and it is difficult to bring luggage to 2nd and 3rd floors. The place was not design for people with mobility issues. Also people are allowed with dogs unleashed. One small dog came after me. When I approach the dog’s owner to ask if he could put his dog on a leash, he became belligerent, disrespectful, and a kind of racist. The hotel staff watched and did nothing. When I ask for the manager to complaint I was told she was on vacation (?) when I ask for whoever was in charge, I was also told that person was also unavailable. It was frustrating and disappointing as that was a safety issue that remained unaddressed.

The hotel is very good but the staff of the kite school is aggressive, making fun of tourists, chasing girls on the beach. Very unprofessional and unfriendly behaviour. They erased my excellent impressions of the hotel ,The hotel is perfect, good food and bar ,beachfront and perfect location .

Great location. On a wonderful stretch of beach and away from traffic noise. Nice big beds. The shower was disappointing. It was like a phone booth with shower curtains that stick to you. I wouldn't eat in the hotel restaurant, you will find so many better restaurants on this stretch of beach

Management not able to provide any solutions after we had to cut our trip short and had paid for the whole trip , even if it was a third-party . Be careful. I would not have rented there if would have known . The staff was nice and helpful ,but not returning!

Perfect beach front location in the middle of Cabarete. Perfect spot for windsports, close enough to all the action but far enough not to be right in the middle of the action The hotel is decently maintained and you get what you pay for. Restaurant is pretty good and beachfront area is extremely nice The staff is super friendly as well
