This is a little hidden gem with no frills just pure nature and relaxation. The rooms are simple, comfortable and eco friendly. No televisions nor phones in the room which was soon ice!.The two restaurants with exceptional views are excellent and a lot of people living in the area come to the restaurant. In the morning you see people riding their horses on the beach while you’re having breakfast. The fitness classes in the temple are lovely and varied. Don’t miss out on the Sunday market which tracts lots of local artists. Lovely community, wellness and mindfulness is at the heart of it all. We were welcome with big warm smile by Danny and Julie at breakfast and lunch. Don’t miss the savoury salmon waffle, avocado on toast and rancheros. For lunch the Civiche is to die for plus the fish salad and trio tacos. Dinner is equally delicious. Dont miss the seared tuna. Steak and ceviche! Salamone our waiter even showed me a clever trick to pour wine with a napkin. The receptionist kelvin was amazing and gave us genuine advice on activities to do around the area.

My husband and I just had our wedding at Natura Cabana earlier this month and would like to warn people about the issues you may experience if you choose to have your wedding at this location. Although it is a beautiful location we unfortunately had a very negative experience leading up to the wedding and during. Food poisoning for 21/26 guests At around 3pm on the day of the wedding shortly after lunch, one of our guests started to feel unwell and was not able to attend our wedding dinner. Shortly after dinner several other guests followed. Our wedding reception resulted in the majority of our guests dropping like flies from violent nonstop diarrhea and vomiting. This was extremely disappointing as all of these people had flown in for the weekend to celebrate with us and instead of being able to drink, celebrate and dance together by 10pm there were only 6 people left standing with the 7 late night pizzas we ordered being untouched and handed out to staff to take home with them instead. As none of the guests had left the Natura grounds this had to have been caused by the food we were served by Natura. When we raised the concern the next morning to the Natura staff and the wedding planner they took no accountability, offered no apology and even accused us of lying. My husband and I were extremely disappointed that all of our guests were unwell, some even needing to go to the hospital once back in Canada after not recovering after over a week. This event unfortunately ruined our wedding weekend as guests were still too unwell to eat brunch the next day. The bunch also cost $35usd per person- a complete rip off with only a few fingers foods being served. Breakfast for guests is included for all guests at Natura but we were told if we paid extra for this wedding brunch it would be extremely elaborate & fancy with lots of food and options which was not the case at all - stick with the free breakfast it will keep your guests full and the brunch is a complete scam. However, based on what I noted above I wouldn’t suggest eating here. The wedding planner nightmare: The wedding planner does not live in the country so will not be there on your wedding day and was not around to give us a tour of the location before we booked the wedding. She works remotely and is often unresponsive having to follow up after every question or request before hearing back. The wedding planner, was frustrating and tiresome to work with. From the beginning my husband and I were very involved and detailed with our vision for our wedding at Natura Cabana. Our first contact with the wedding planner happened 12 months before we arrived for our wedding yet the wedding planner continuously requested the same details we had provided well in advance during the very last weeks leading up to the wedding causing us undo stress, lack of trust in their ability and inability to deliver our vision for our wedding weekend. We had to instigate multiple meetings with our wedding planner to e

If you want a real Dominican experience, this is not the place. Beach is great but it seems to be a place to get away from Dominicans and do yoga while eating bland food. On top of that, I was woken up at 7am by the yoga/palates instructor yelling "1-2-3 woo-hoo! Good job!" Bc the cabins have no windows and a net for a roof. No bueno. Location it's beautiful but this is on an HOA street where it seems there's only Europeans. I came for Dominican culture and food. I could've went in Malibu/Cali for this. Going from a private villa for our wedding with real Dominican food to this was definitely a downgrade. I don't recommend.

Beautiful Eco Resort on a stunning beachfront property. The Cabanas are nicely kept and furnished with all the comforts of home. Refreshing pool and shady sitting areas surrounding. Loved the Yoga studio with ocean views and the spa treatments were very relaxing. The two restaurants serve delicious, healthy meals with several options available. The Smoothies are a must-have! The ocean is soothing with the rolling waves, but when we were there it really was not safe for swimming. I went in and had a very hard time getting out due to the undertow and heavy waves. This is the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway in nature. Also, great for families and large groups as the Cabanas hold several people.

We went as a a family group with wife, son, and wife and 3 year old grandaughter for 7 days. The cabin we stayed at was adjoined with kitchenette raised "porch" between the cabins. Beautiful large rooms with all stone bathrooms, fully air conditioned and fans. The whole grounds was really an eco-resort with their own gardens for the meals, right on their own beach and a quarter mile away an a path is a long 2 mile deserted beach. The different cabins were well spaced apart with nice privacy and the grounds were well cared for every day with maintenance. The best part was the meals. Every morning fresh fruit with a wide options of addtional dishes. The dinners included fresh vegetables and fish or meat with good variety for eating there every day. The staff were wonderful and friendly, enjoyed helping the 3-year old learn some Spanish words. The front desk helped arrange local treats like diving, snorkeling, horse back riding (on the beach). Would highly recommend for any family vacation.

Travelled with a friend and spent a week at Natura cabana. Ideally situated in Perla Marina between Sosua and Cabarete, it offers tranquility and great walking paths while offering close proximity to the towns and walking to the mercado for beers and snacks. The two bdrm bungalow near the pool was very clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. The ocean there is a bit rough but great if you enjoy playing in the waves. Only 12 bungalows nestled in a private residential area meant you could easily carve out a quiet place for yourself on the beach at the hotel or on nearby almost deserted beaches. Did a few excursions: hired Max, taxi driver, who took us to Puerto Plata for the day, did SUP with Rugama Tours on the quiet river and ate a sumptuous lunch there and went into Cabarete for an afternoon to watch the kite surfers and partake in happy hour! We did one morning yoga class which we totally enjoyed. Breakfast and lunch were both really good, the coffee delicious. We also enjoyed the pizza at the Ceiba Cafe, a short walk away. The staff are amazing and dedicated and will go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your vacation. Highly recommend this place! :)

Loved this hotel and plan to return. Fantastic palapa rooms set in lush grounds. Perfect setting in a quiet neighbourhood and right on the beach, with great restaurants and really friendly staff. Special thanks to Keldwin at reception who was very kind and extremely helpful. Also to the ladies in the restaurants.
