Nice little place to stay, but the pond is a bit close to the entry, my friend fell in when we came back and it was dark. Could be hazardous

The girl at reception was absolutely lovely yet I regret my choice of the Garden Burees. First off, the hotel does not have air-conditioning, super unpleasant on a day that was 28+ degrees with 90% humidty. The biggest issue though was that they knowingly allowed our neighbors at the hotel to have an event that went on well past midnight but since there was no air-conditioning, we couldnt even close our windows to avoid the ridiculously loud bass. Even after the music stopped, they were loud until 2. The photos looked great online but were really deceptive as to the actual size of the room, the bed is up a spiral staircase and the room itself is small. The soaking tub and outdoor shower couldn't make up for a small room and a bad night's sleep. The mosquitoes were so bad with the standing water around the property and swamp nearby, we ended up covered in bites. They list laundry available but its the company washer - if it weren't for the great receptionist it wouldn't be available because it was a busy day turning rooms over so she was nice enough to put the wash on for us. Our second night was quiet but no one was around to ask for more towels or citronella to keep the bugs away. Wish we had stayed somewhere else during our stay.

My husband and I stayed at Garden Burees during our trip along the east coast of Australia. This was one of the highlights of our trip! ☺️ The most calm, beautiful little piece of Balinese paradise to begin and end each day in Byron Bay. The accommodation was stunning! Underfloor heating, outdoor shower, double spa bath with complementary Epsom salts -a god send after long walks every day! Comfy bed, a sweet well stocked self contained kitchenette with everything we needed to cook and feel at home. The staff we met were very kind and helpful and helped us with our luggage around early check in too. Also a short walk to local shops and to our travel links. Really was the best place to relax, unwind and reset. Listening to the little stream bubble by, the birdsong and watch the water dragons and plants surrounding our little holiday home was really lovely. We would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys nature and some peaceful reset time. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you so much! Emma & Scott - UK

Not very clean. Parts of the bedroom and other rooms had thick dust and even after extra cleaning, it did not feel sanitary at all -too much built up grime. Small selection of photos attached. Management showed minimal concern. One of us woke up after our 3rd night covered in bites (not from mosquitos) -time to hit the road! PS if you arrive before check-in or leave after check-out, there's no secure place for luggage, just a mostly unattended desk you can leave bags near.

We stayed in the Gallery Studio. Beautiful Balinese style villa. Had everything we needed for our short stay. It was an easy walk to restaurants, cafes and beach. However, it was far enough away that it was lovely and quiet. We saw water dragons and bush turkeys daily. I loved the tranquil vibe.

Location was good. Place was ok. Bathroom was below average. Reception services were not at all satisfactory. We reached there around 17:30. Lodges are a bit tricky to find. We were very surprised that there was no availability of reception services.Even on messaging they were very slow to respond, In my experience if one likes to stay then should arrive in normal hours. If arriving late then be prepared you may not be able to contact anyone hence can land up in prepared for unforeseen problems. The location and place is quite good.

In a great location in Byron Bay this hideaway feels like it's in the middle of the jungle. It has an amazing peaceful vibe. Staying in Dragonfly's Rest the ambiance of the outdoor tub was delightful. Would highly recommend recharging here. - Ricky Glaser
