At 3pm check in, the room wasn’t ready. I was asked to wait and would be advised when it was ready. The lady forgot, and I returned to the desk to check. Around 3:50pm we were able to go to the room. For my partners birthday and one night stay, we had wasted an hour waiting for the room. It wasn’t clear from exiting the lift where our room was going to be, as the rooms numbers didn’t reach the our room number. The hotel entrance was grand and very pleasant, with a pianist playing in the evening. The room walls were awfully thin, as we found out. The breakfast was very good, with a great selection and quality of the food. The location was perfect, to walk to the sightseeing spots and local amenities. Left disappointed by the customer service on arrival.

I didn't book the old hall, but this one is really good. The cleanliness and comfort of the room is my most important. The decoration is red classical style. There is a wedding atmosphere under the floor.

Stayed at the Queen's Head hotel over the weekend due to attending a concert at Buxton Opera House. We were really well looked after and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean , warm and welcoming. Whilst there is no on-site parking, there is parking in the market place only a minutes walk away which was easy to access. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
