Butuan Hotels with Bars

In Butuan for vacation since it’s been 5 years. Friendly staff..but when we went, I didn’t realized the swimming pool was under repair so that was a little disappointing . I’ll make sure to call next time.

The Grand Palace Hotel was a real let-down, starting with not living up to what they say. They claim to provide tea & coffee in the rooms, but there's no tea. Their web site says they have an airport shuttle, but they don't. Breakfast was disappointing too. Only 2 juices. Luckily one was usually pineapple. As well as the usual lukewarm breakfast items, they had some random cakes that were as bland as cardboard. Fortunately, you can walk through the Annex, cross the road and a few metres to your right is a bakery that sells doughnuts for 6 pesos that are vastly better. The hotel has guards with assault weapons and dogs. Seems pretty ridiculous and unsafe. Also the dogs spend most of their time living in cages alone next to the swimming pool. I had two bookings here, the first in a big king room. (They call it a ”matrimonial” room!) The WiFi mostly didn't work. It's totally inadequate for the number of people who use it, especially if a big business group comes in for a conference during the day. (The DHCP server just runs out of addresses and you can't connect until someone else disconnects.) Even when it connected, it wasn't very fast. One other issue I had was the appearance of cockroaches every so often. The small single room was a vast improvement, as well as being half the price. While the single rooms have no windows, they have two massive advantages. Firstly, fast WiFi that works. The single rooms are in a hall behind the reception area and have their own access point that works brilliantly and isn't overloaded. Secondly, the small room doesn't have so many places for roaches to hide. I didn't see a single insect intruder. Do not ever bother to waste your time or money on staying at a hotel with office staff as rude,arrogant,abusive as the office staff that are employed by GO hotels at this Butuan location, at approximately 1500 hrs or 3 PM Thursday 11 th of August 2022 my Filipino wife attempted to check our family of three into the PWD available rooms that GO hotels advertise, as i myself is a gentleman of 24/7 in a wheelchair, upon approaching the checkin dest at this GO hotel Butuan my wife was immediately attacked verbally by the rude arrogant office staff at this hotel, accusations at my wife of such outstanding completely ridiculous accusations of such things such as ” you are a trouble maker ” you ” are not welcome here ” you ” make complaints about us ” WTH ??? About 3 and a half years ago we did stay at this GO hotel Butuan on a journey to another destination a long time before covid lockdown, these GO hotel staff are racist plus anti PWD people as also i myself am a Reverend minister in a charity o religious organization, finally a Minor office lackey told my now upset stressed angry wife ” you can stay one night but the next night we are fully booked out you must go away ” well this person of low IQ is now playing lord and ruler over my wife and our family, my wife then consulted myself and with the Lords guidance we declaired that if this is the atertude of GO hotel Butuan then they can keep it and bo not need our money, we then proceeded to locate a far better and cheaper that nights hotel, thank you GOHotel Butuan for showing the general public of Philippines what rude,arrogant,racist,anti PWD, sexist staff that are employed by GO hotels at there butuan location, i fully believe GO hotels Butuan should be blacklisted until complete rude arrogant office staff have been preschool in public PR or better still all replaced except for the very helpful doormen, God bless and forgive the GO hotel Butuan office staff for there evilness. Walking distance going to SM and gaisano, new hotel, clean and nice staff and good free breakfast

It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious... Rooms are warm while outside is very cool. Well maintained hospital. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably choose Orient hotel next time as I have experience warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew.

WARNiNG!! DONT BOOK for THIS SCAMMERS!! We booked a room for 3 people (as it says sleeps 3 for one room) for August 2023 for one night only because we have flight in the morning. I’ve asked for the agent to change my name to my husband’s as I will be late for few hours and I was the one who booked them so I should show my passport and bank card. The agent changed it to my husband’s name and put my son’s name and didn’t include my name! And when ive complaint about it the hotel asked me for a payment of 2500 gbp extra!! Is something wrong with their heads or what?? Then they denied that in Hotel.com website says that the room sleeps 3. They said they only do 2. Then telling me that my son is 14 so he is not allowed in the room. Told them when I’ve booked, it asked me for my son’s age and there was no problem. Anyway I’ve ready all their policy and there was nothing indicating 18 years old above. What disgusting people!!!
