(The main old high school building burned to the ground in 1946.) During World War II the Manual Arts Building served as a military induction center, and later would house the Butte Business College. Then, for years, the nearby Masonic Temple used it for its youth programs, DeMolay and Rainbow Girls.Because of the building’s original construction as a school facility, the stairways are immense, more than eight feet wide. Everywhere, the light streams in — more and more as you go to the upper floors. Pets are welcome, but we do charge an extra $50 cleaning fee to make sure the space is usable for guests that might have pet allergies. Front porch is very nice to see the mountains, during day and the night. Amazing location to get to Yellowstone, Helena and Bozeman in an hour. The Montana amenities are all around for playing in the outdoors. Trails very close, bars, fishing, animal viewing, hunting, and restaurants are walking distance. No smoking in the place, please. On porch, there is two windows that open and convenient, if you are a smoker.
