It was good to stay with kids. All staff were kind. In the morning we saw hippo walking in front of my balcony. That was amazing.

Excellent hotel resort. Good pool, lovely view of the lake and deck chairs on the beach. Big breakfast, helpful staff, good AC, etc. etc. About 20 minutes into town, about 10 minutes to the Rusizi national park entrance, and about 20 minutes to the airport.

All staffs were so kind. And we enjoyed the beautiful view. In the morning, we saw hippo in front of my room . That was amazing. And when we have breakfast we met another hippo. Food was good too. My son really enjoyed swimming in the pool. If I have a chance I 'd like to come here again.

Stayed here for 2 x 1 night, as it is fairly convenient for the airport. The hotel is very comfortable, with a good double bed, a hot shower and a decent restaurant. The on site ATM was not working whilst we were there. Unfortunately, Lake Tanganyika has risen as least 2 metres recently, which has eaten up the beach, with the lake water almost lapping the pool area. Given the proximity to Bujumbura, it is probably not wise to swim in the lake. There are 2 pools though, which although we did not try them seemed popular enough.

The staff are lovely--really kind, fun, accommodating and experience-oriented. They were a highlight. The overall resort is quite picturesque, and I enjoyed dining poolside each evening. The pizza at the restaurant is outstanding, absolutely delicious and rivals even the best of Italy. The downside? The rooms are inconsistent--I stayed in two different ones at different times. They tend to be darkish, and mildew-smelling, and there is visible mildew and maybe black mold (?) near the AC and in the shower area of some bathrooms. The beds feel a bit dated and hard. However, they are otherwise clean--spotlessly mopped, clean toilets, sinks, etc. So, a bit of a mixed bag. Places like this are expensive in developing countries in Africa, so, don't expect what you might get in, say, Europe or east Asia or South America for these prices. I still recommend this place because of the excellent, caring staff and the fun and tasty restaurant.

This hotel was actually the highlight of my stay in Bujumbura. It has a nice lush garden, comfortable rooms, a fantastic view of the beach, a good restaurant and an ATM. Everything is very convenient and you don't have to get out of the hotel for much. Only point to be improved: the souvenir shop could have more stuff (they didn't even have fridge magnets of Burundi)

I’ll start by saying that the check-in process was ok. Check in starts at 12pm which is awesome. I reserved a junior suite for a 3 night stay. I was required to pay for my entire stay at check-in. The room had poor air circulation & smelled of mildew. The mosquito net was discolored & dusty. There was visible dirt & dust on walls. But my biggest issue was the bathroom. On the walls you could see mildew/mold that had been painted over. I requested via *********** to check-out the next day as I didn’t want to be moved to another room. The hotel accommodated my request to check out & refunded me appropriately. Other than that, the beach is great & nice to sit on. Food service takes a bit of a wait (over 1hr) but the buffet breakfast was nice & easy. I definitely wouldn’t stay overnight but I can see why people might visit just for the beach.

Stayed for 2 nights in different rooms. Overall, the experience is very inconsistent, but there were some similarities: - wifi is hit or miss. Don't count on it to do any work-related stuff. - AC in the rooms is paltry - mosquito nets around beds - fridges in the rooms (one of them didn't work and had the plug sitting in standing water) - water bottles provided - restaurant service was really really slow (i.e., 45-60 minute wait), but food was fresh and hot - breakfast had a decent selection, but never asked if we wanted any made-to-order eggs or anything The inconsistencies: - one room had no hot water but the other room did - second room had leaking bidet that staff just threw a towel on the floor. We shut it off and that solved problem. Had to call for clean up. - garbage can in bathroom not emptied in one room and was filled with used female sanitary products. - one room had great water pressure in the shower and the other room was so-so Overall, this is supposed to be a 5* property, but was the worst quality of the hotels we stayed at in 4 countries in this region (including another property in Gitega). it appears all the NGO/missionary people stay here.

Great location near Tanganyika. Provides excellent view and cool breeze. Meals are great with the exceptional coffee of Burundi. An opportunity to see Hippos. Secured car park and excellent customer service from the amazing and ever helpful staff. The pool side is excellent for business meetings.

I stayed here for a weekend. Bad idea. I was assigned a very very old room (there are newer rooms and some have been renovated). I spent a miserable night in this room. I asked to be switched to a different room and thankfully the next day, I got moved to one of the renovated rooms... which was a little better. Getting a simple meal over the weekend was torture... the waiters were busy serving all the people coming in from the community to use the restaurant and the pool. The food is good, but way too expensive. What I enjoyed the most about my stay was the variety of dishes offered for breakfast. The staff is also friendly and helpful.
Response from Property: We are very sorry for your desappointement, all your observations will be taken into account and will help us to improve our service. We will make your next stay to our hotel wonderful

I stayed there for two weeks in January 2022. The staff was 100% available and always ready to help. Although I was there for work, my journey felt like holidays with the lake view and the semi-olympic swimming pool.

Wow! You must think of this place as a vintage wine. It has heritage. The old style architecture, louvred windows, wooden floors wow. And that’s just the half of it! The very mature trees in the garden filled with birds that chatter from sunrise to sunset. The wind blowing through the bamboo grove at the back of my room caused the bamboo to rub and produce interesting sounds. It was as if the bamboo was gently protesting being bothered by the wind. From the front of my room came the crashing of the waves on the beach from one of the region’s Great Lakes. Amazing! I understand why some describe this as a romantic place. And the friendly staff! Cynthia at the Front Desk is outstanding. The Chef can be inspired to delight. The blanket wifi over the whole place is among the best I have found. The gym was a little small. I was glad there was no competition for the treadmill. Definitely love to visit again.

We stayed there for three weeks and we did enjoy it thouroughly. The staff is very service oriented and we felt like home. The tailor is very useful as well as the people at the reception who take care of all your need. The lady at the boutique is very friendly and helpful too. We met the owner and his lovely wife and enjoyed their company. The owner is always wandering around and makes sure that everything is fine. We also delighted in walking along the shore after breakfast and spent some time sitting on a transat chair on the sand. If you really want to relax for good, this place will provide with all what you need. And something very important : the wifi does work non stop. Question of security : you feel really secure with the guard patrolling discretly in the property of an amazing 20'000 square meter. We will come back and experience again this friendly touch in an exceptionnal environment.
