Busan Dong-gu Hotels

The hotel is quite nice, but I just want to remind other travelers — the taxis in front of the hotel tend to overcharge. That’s not a good experience. Since I couldn’t use Uber or Kakao Taxi in Busan (the card I registered didn’t work, and cash payment wasn’t accepted either), I asked the front desk if they could help me book a taxi. They told me I could simply take one from in front of the hotel. When I checked out and got into the taxi, I saw on Kakao Taxi that the normal fare should be around 17,000 won. However, the driver refused to use the meter. About five minutes into the ride, he told me the fare would be 30,000 won. I felt really uncomfortable, but since I was traveling alone and all my belongings were in the car, I decided not to argue further for safety reasons. In the end, I had no choice but to accept it. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, but I hope other guests won’t have to experience the same situation on their last day.

This hotel was amazing with a perfect central location - right across the street from both the Busan metro line 1 station and the KTX Korea rail station running to/from Seoul. It was less than a 3 minute walk to each. Most of the packaged tours start from the KTX train station exit 1 which is literally across the street from the hotel. I booked the room with breakfast and was pleasantly surprised how good breakfast was (for the price I paid). My room was amazing with port and harbour views, the breakfast area had stunning panoramic Busan city and harbour views as well. The unexpected best part was the roof top pool! No one was ever there.

Honest review: Lobby area is messy and that staff lady is not really helpful. I needed to wait from 7am-1pm, before I know to check in at 1pm, and I only know at 1pm that need to pay extra 30,000kw to check in at 1pm, cause check in timing is 4pm. Toilet door and room door is not clean. Bed, pillow and towels are ok, room is spacious and it’s near to a train station, but still quite far from Busan train station and shopping areas. Only 2 bottles of water for me, although I’ve stayed for 5days. Overall the place is ok, it looks more like apartment than a hotel. I also bought breakfast for my stays, but only ate on day 1, as they Mop the floor when people are taking food and having breakfast and I was holding a miso soup and I fell down. Hence quite a disappointment.

During my stay at Asti Hotel Busan, I was impressed by its convenience and comfort. The hotel is located right next to Busan Station, making it perfect for travelers arriving by KTX or subway. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were professional and friendly. My room was modern, clean, and spacious, offering a great view of the city and harbor. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet with a wide variety of Korean and international dishes. The hotel also had a calm atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after a busy day. Overall, Asti Hotel Busan offered excellent value.

Hotel location is traffic convenient which is near the Busan KTX Station and the Metro station, also there are restaurants nearby. The front desk service was good, the staff were polite and helpful. The cleansing service was efficient and good as well. The breakfast provided in the hotel was of various choice of food but pity that there was no meat dishes that did not meet the need of some ‘carnivorous guests’ like me.

Brown Suites is extremely new, 3 bedrooms with lovely living and dining room. Furniture and amenities are excellent, with washer and dryer, as well as 2 bathrooms with a bathtub in one. The view of the ocean and harbour is superb. It is directly linked via a bridge to Busan Station for KTX and also to Busan Port for cruises out to Japan.

This hotel is extremely convenient for travelers – just a short 100m walk from Busan Station Exit 1, directly across the street and located behind a well-known hotel chain. The ground-level route makes luggage hauling effortless, which is a huge plus. The room was true to the photos, fairly clean with ample space – comfortably fit 3 people and allowed us to open three suitcases with no issue. Decent bedding with sufficient amenities: a powerful hair dryer (great for long hair!), but do note that toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided due to the hotel’s sustainability policy (same across S. Korea) – best to bring your own or buy locally. Check-in/out were seamless, and they also offer luggage storage, useful for early arrivals or post-checkout exploring. The area also has plenty of eateries within walking distance. Some downsides to note (not deal breakers, just for awareness): • Cleanliness could be improved (minor dust in corners and edges). • Sink provides only cold water, which might be inconvenient. • The bathroom has frosted glass with blinds that don’t fully cover – may feel awkward if sharing the room with friends or the opposite gender. • Soundproofing is good between rooms, but outdoor noise can be heard, especially from the pojangmacha (street food tents) nearby until around midnight. • TV had only 1 default channel, but worked well enough as background noise. • No microwave in room and fridge’s not cold enough. All in all, a solid choice if you want convenience and comfort near Busan Station, especially for short stays.

The location is okay; it's about a 7-8 minute walk from the KTX station if you take the skybridge. Both the bed and sofa were quite small. The bed was especially soft, and the entire thing wobbled whenever I turned over. It's a bit of a walk to the nearest subway station. The view was decent, even though the room I was assigned didn't quite match the pictures. Overall, it offers good value for money. It's perfect for a solo traveler, but would be too cramped for two people.

It was fine, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. Easy walking distance from Busan Station and bus stops/metro, with lots of coffee shops around. However there are some negatives. A staff member verbally disclosed my (solo female) room number in front of another guest while checking in, which is not a safe practice. Storage space in the room is very limited - there are no drawers or cupboards at all, and no luggage rack so you can unpack your suitcase on either the floor (very little space) or the bed (unhygienic). The aircon turns off when the keycard isn’t inserted so the room is hot when you return from being out (and housekeeping will remove the card if you leave it in.)

Just one stop away from Busan Station. Roughly like 3-5mins walk away from Choryang station. There’s good restaurants and takeaway drinks near the hotel. Also, there are two convenient stores near the hotel which is very super convenient. I like how clean the room. The bed was super comfy for me. The bathroom is clean and there is a bidet plus point on that. I had breakfast which was Pho and black coffee. It was delicious!
