Overall the hotel is very new, the room is spacious, the smart TV is easy to use, quite popular among both international and local guests. The convenience store inside the hotel 1st floor is great especially during winter time, we don't need to go out of the building at all. Also you can refill your water bottles at the dispenser located on every floor. We arrived earlier than the check in time, there are self serviced lockers for storing baggages. And then the hotel staff invited us to check in 1 hour earlier. The desks on the 3rd floor has a good view of the beach and like a modern co working space. However, there is no cotton pads / hair brush provided, which is a bit inconvenient.

šŸØ Fairfield by Marriott Busan 314 Haeundaehaebyeon-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, 48099 Stayed two nights in Fairfield by Marriott Busan to be close to Marina City for an event in mid October 2024. šŸ“Location: Fairfield by Marriott Busan is located in a less eventful part of Busan. Not the best pick if you want to be where the action is. I have stayed near the Busan train station and in Nampo previously and enjoyed those parts of Busan more. šŸš• Accessibility: it takes about 15 minutes' walk to the hotel (with luggage on uneven roads) from the drop off point at What The Burger which is where the Haeundae Intercity Bus alighted customers from Incheon Airport. The bus journey takes close to 5.5 hours with two rest stops and a stop at Nopo Terminal. Kakao Taxi fare from Fairfield by Marriott Hotel to Haeundae Intercity Bus Terminal costs about KRW5000-6000. šŸ›ŒšŸ½ Room: No complaints for the price point and what you see is what you get as befitting a Marriott property. There is construction opposite the hotel so paying for the city view on a high floor will avoid that if you are bothered by a construction view. The sea is not nearby so look for another option if that is important. šŸ‘£ Amenities: I did read another review about the paper thin room slippers and wisely packed a pair from home. šŸ² Food Options: I arrived at night and didn't find too many food options in the evening as everything seems to be closed early. There are convenience shops nearby and a Paris Baguette a few blocks away. Hotel breakfast is available at Bistro 314 on Level 2 of the hotel at a discounted rate of 16,500KRW for hotel guests if you book in advance. šŸ‹ļø There is a fitness centre on Basement 1 next to the self service coin laundry. Rating: 3⭐ Stay here if you have business nearby and want to save time travelling but not as a tourist with limited time wanting to explore the best of what Busan has to offer.

Honest review: Lobby area is messy and that staff lady is not really helpful. I needed to wait from 7am-1pm, before I know to check in at 1pm, and I only know at 1pm that need to pay extra 30,000kw to check in at 1pm, cause check in timing is 4pm. Toilet door and room door is not clean. Bed, pillow and towels are ok, room is spacious and it’s near to a train station, but still quite far from Busan train station and shopping areas. Only 2 bottles of water for me, although I’ve stayed for 5days. Overall the place is ok, it looks more like apartment than a hotel. I also bought breakfast for my stays, but only ate on day 1, as they Mop the floor when people are taking food and having breakfast and I was holding a miso soup and I fell down. Hence quite a disappointment.

We were quite satisfied in general. The rooms are quite spacious and the staff was quite friendly. I would need to deduct some points, since the breakfast was not exactly as expected. We cannot recommand the breakfast (especially the western). In case you're thinking about booking the breakfast, take the Korean one.

I didn't request for cleaning service as we need to be out of the room during hotel specific cleaning timing. Every morning the hotel will hang fresh towels and a bottle of water at the door if no cleaning service is needed. The room is quite small but the location is perfect, just a few steps away from the Busan Station with lots of restaurants, fast food, convenience shops and cafe. Very near to Chinatown and walking distance to 168 stairs. The hotel did make an effort to provide different choices of breakfast everyday.

I had a wonderful stay at Grab the Ocean. Although I opted for the city view room, I was treated to a glimpse of the beautiful beach from my window. The service at the hotel was truly top-notch. The staff were friendly and that made it easy for me to be comfortable and enjoy every moments. I also had the pleasure of dining at the hotel’s restaurant, and the food was absolutely mouth-watering! The menu offered a great selection of options, and the quality of the dishes was exceptional. The staff members? they served me so well. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable. Overall, I would truly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Busan. The combination of great service, delicious food, and stunning views makes it truly an unbeatable choice!

This was hands down the best place I’ve stayed at in Busan. The location is unbeatable—perfect for relaxing beach walks, with the shoreline just steps away. The surrounding area is filled with excellent eateries offering a wide range of local and international cuisine. While some of the restaurants and cafes can be on the pricier side, the quality and atmosphere make it worth the splurge. The overall experience—from the view, the vibe, to the convenience—was exceptional. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Busan, especially if you're looking for a memorable seaside stay.

DDeznadBest hotel in Busan Address: Good Ol’ Days Hotel, 5 Jungang-daero 41beon-gil, Jung-gu, Busan Price: šŸ’°šŸ’° Rating: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Planning my trip to Busan was like being a kid in a candy store - so many hotels, so little time! But with a ferry ride to Japan on the agenda, I figured, why not pick one right by the port? That's how I stumbled upon the gem that is Good Ol’ Days Hotel. Now, this place isn't just any hotel; it's a time capsule, a portal to the past tucked away in Jungang-dong, Jung-gu, Busan. The name says it all - Good Ol’ Days. As I checked in, I was greeted with a welcome gift that included stamps and postcards. But here's the twist: I was invited to jot down my present feelings, seal them up, and they’d be sent into the future. It's like leaving a piece of yourself behind for future you to discover - how cool is that? The lobby was like a treasure trove, with the owner's curated list of local activities and food spots that only the savvy locals knew about. And get this: there's a convenience store right across the street for those midnight munchies - talk about convenient! Don't even get me started on the rooftop area - bean bags, movie nights, and complimentary drinks from their cafĆ© upon check-in. Now, onto the rooms. With only 9 cozy nooks to choose from, each room has its own unique charm. We snagged room 1, and boy, was it a treat. From basic toiletries to a Dyson hair dryer (yes, you read that right!), they've got you covered. The pantry was stocked with goodies like drip coffee, cup noodles, and even beer - perfect for those late-night cravings. But the real showstopper? The technology. A record player and Bluetooth speaker set the mood, while the absence of a TV encouraged us to disconnect and unwind. And if you're feeling creative, they've got a bunch of stationery and scrapbooking tools to leave your mark and even write a postcard to your future self. All rooms come with breakfast - a cute picnic basket with cereal, eggs and scones. Overall, Good Ol’ Days Hotel was more than just a place to rest my head; it was an experience that left me feeling refreshed and ready for the rest of my journey.

LLai wanModern hotel, nice decor, plenty of facilities (extra charge required), poor service. Swimming pool, sauna, gym all require additional charge or are only included with premium rooms and above. The facilities are great and gym is of a commercial level. Hotel staff were not very welcoming and rather depressed. Even though the hotel is in the city center, it's not really near any of the main spots you'd want to check out. We ended up taking a 30-minute taxi ride every day just to see the sights, which was a bit of a hassle.

TTeia SakieI stayed in the capsule room for 2 nights and I got sick... there's no air conditioning control and whatever they have to keep the air flow made my throat sore on my last morning. I eventually lost my voice. My voice came back (still husky) but I'm still coughing a lot with green mucus... it's been 1 week from my trip in busan and I'm not fully recovered. I happen to have asthma which makes me more prone to these things but still, I doubt this is good for anyone. I liked their normal rooms a lot but I definitely won't do the capsule room again.

AAnonymous UserOur first visit to Busan. Stayed in Asti Hotel Busan Station. Reception is on the 3rd floor. Location just across Busan Station with many shops and eateries nearby. Convenient for a stranger unfamiliar to Busan. I would say mattress and pillows are nice to sleep on for travellers. Good back and neck support. Reasonably spacious. Clean and bright. Reasonable price. They did look at our request, and even though they can not fulfill it as they do not have a connecting room, I appreciate the effort. I would stay again if I visit again. Thank you.

WWBooked a room with ocean view, and the staff is kinda to give me the highest floor (31st floor). The view is breathtaking! Loving the sound of the sea at night and the cool ocean breeze in the day. You can open the door to the balcony to enjoy the ocean view fully. The room is clean, quiet, and spacious. I like that the hotel is environmentally-conscious, so there’s no disposable amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush, comb etc. it’s good to bring your own for your stay here. The room provides leather slippers and 3 bottles of drinking water. The table is long so there’s plenty of space for working. The location is fabulous. Downstairs there’s a coffee and a bar. There’s also an olive young shop and a 23-hour pork soup shop about 50m away. Haeundae beach is about 50 m away. It is about 150m from Haeundae station. This street has a lot of shops that open late at night, and several convenience stores.

However the breakfast can do with some changes, after 4 nights the breakfast is just not good at all, same food every morning with no changes at all. The toilet and shower situation is also hard to comment on. Water pressure is also very low in the hotel.

GGuest UserThe location is good as it is very close walking distance to shopping streets and the price is affordable. Room is equipped with a smart TV. I did not need to use my travel adaptor as well. Basic toiletries available. However, the bath towel is in face towel size. Clothes hanging area is on top/in front of the dresser. Things to note if staying here. Hotel is located upslope from the streets. (relatively steep) Most of the times (like a 9 out of 10), I was unable to book a taxi from my hotel due to the kakao taxi app prompting that cars cannot enter my area (they will outline the roads on the app to show the roads that cars cannot enter).I had to walk some distance out to another place to book a taxi. However, there was no restrictions to drop off at this address but many times, the driver will also drop me somewhere further away to walk in. Both the guy & lady (seems like lady boss) receptionists seems enthusiastic for a normal conversation but can become rude when we enquire or request for help. I had difficulty switching on the aircon when I first checked in and called for help. They refused to come and help and the instructions was vague as all I can understand was ā€the switch is below the TVā€. I later found out that it is common for aircon switch to be on the TV remote controller in Korea after I checked in to another hotel. It was after the third call when we flared up that someone came to help. But the help was of course also a rude one. Another thing to note is that they only give one access card and this access card is also the only card that manages the power in the room. If you insert another card in the slot for power, they will switch off your electricity after a while. This means you will not be able to probably sleep/shower in the room if your partner goes out since you will have to be the one to open the door, unless you can stay in the room without any power. You will also not be able to charge your phones/power banks etc while you are out and the refrigeration will also be off. The receptionist have called us via room phone and scolded us for putting a foreign card in. I think this is upsetting as we usually have more than one card in other hotels. The other hotel that I booked in Seoul even had a ready card slotted in for power and we still had 2 cards for access. Another downside: There was some form of leak from toilet bowl area and I cannot make out where its from. There will be a typical pee stench after awhile. Both the automatic bidets and manual bidets did not work in my toilet. I am not sure if this only happens in my room thus this is just for reference. Otherwise my toilet was huge and the water jet was strong. Do note that they allow early check in but it is chargeable. When I reached 2 hours earlier, I was told that their hotel does not have early check in. After asking further, they told me to pay 20,000 won if I want to check in early and I got my room immediately. I would have preferred if they told me from the start that early check in is possible for a fee.

Aaehwa0613The Nampo Hound Hotel is a decent 3 star hotel with kind service at a decent price. The bathroom was on the 4 star side, with a nice rain shower and separate bath. The bed was comfortable to me, an American traveler. Being that I visited in winter, and have yet to go to a hotel in Asia where you can change the temperature, I liked the ability to open a window for fresh air and a break from constant heat. The housekeeper was quite nice, and gave me water, as I opted not to have my room cleaned during my three days there. If you are a light sleeper that goes to bed early, I did have a little trouble on my second night, but it was the last night of a holiday weekend. Mnet helped to drown it out. They do have Netflix, Disney+ and something else if you have your login…and can read Korean. There are amazing restaurants and shops, centrally located near BIFF square and Jagalchi market. Convenient to get to Gamcheon via short bus ride. I took both the subway and bus with luggage with no trouble (use Naver maps), other than overpacking. There are elevators for the subway, so that was the method I liked better for going to and from Busan Station. I didn’t eat the breakfast. Toiletries were decent quality, as was the hairdryer. My view of Busan Tower was decent. What I didn’t like: the room a little dusty, but only noticeable due to the sunlight, the slippers (for the bedroom and bathroom) aren’t disposable and there aren’t any USB outlets, which can be difficult depending on your converter situation. Oh! And the sink is quite big, so makeup application or needing to view your skin closely isn’t the easiest. I would recommend to friends.
