I organised a surprise 70th birthday party for my husband. James, the General Manager, helped me alot from the moment I booked it. He kindly organised vegan food for my son. I felt very relaxed knowing I was in safe hands. All the staff were professional, attentive, very friendly and helpful. Seven of us stayed overnight. The rooms were very comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. The next morning we all had a delicious breakfast including a buffet selection and then a cooked plate of food. All the trimmings and piping hot. I couldn't recommend Ravenswood Hall Hotel more highly and, as we only live 15 minutes away will try and visit regularly.

Stayed for 2 nights due to a family wedding. Historically this was a good hotel, disappointingly this is no longer the case. We had 3 rooms in the mews all of which were in a terrible state. Carpet was threadbare and grimey, baths chipped and rusty, paintwork chipped, curtains and blinds were torn, chipped and mouldy. All 3 Rooms smelt of damp. Beds / mattresses were old and extremely uncomfortable None of the rooms were serviced mid stay so no clean towels supplied. As the rooms were damp the towels had not fully dried from the previous day !!! I would suggest until this hotel is fully refurbished do not even consider this hotel. We were so appalled we tried to book elsewhere for the 2nd night but sadly nothing was available.

The hotel was dirty, there was mould in the bath room which created an awful smell throughout the room. The room was falling apart with damage to curtains, walls, bed side tables e.c.t. The food was expensive and low quality, breakfast was very poor. Would not recommend. Save your money, save your time, and just go to the travel lodge up the road!

We went as part of a special deal package, and to be honest this wasn't our first choice hotel - that was being refurtbished, and glad it was. This is a lovely building and we atsyed in the St Edmunds room, so a nice room. When we arrived the rhodendrons were in full bloom. We were treated to a fantastic two nights stay - great service, great food, and a great location. The 5 course taster menu is far more than a taster, more a gut buster, but we still ate it all, and came down for breakfast the enxt morning!

Lovely meal last night at Ravenwood. The setting is beautiful and the food was great. I had the steak which was perfect, my wife had the panacotta which she said was amazing. To top it off Sami the manager is very attentive, funny and great front of house. Well done all.

We visited Ravenwood Hall for afternoon tea to celebrate my grandma’s 80th birthday and we were warmly greeted and had excellent service throughout. A special shoutout to Sami for his attentive service and especially when I asked him to take a group photo of us! All round a lovely experience and we would 100% go back again to try some more food and sit in the lovely grounds! Thank you.

This hotel has changed hands and is now part of a hotel group. We decided to try the restaurant, we visited with no booking and were made to feel welcome, we tried the sea bass and chicken, both meals were cooked perfectly and complimented with potatoes, glazed carrots and tender stem broccoli, the vegetables were just right, not too soft. This restaurant caters for gluten free , we would certainly eat here again.

Lovely historic hotel in a wonderful location and the grounds are picturesque, however in need of TLC it has been allowed to run down such a shame. There is glimmer of hope it was sold on to new owners as the old owner ran out of money. The staff however were wonderful and the food was fantastic and I would revisit if it was refurbished and updated.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here. The staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. Really nice restaurant, with great atmosphere. There was a mistake with the bill but it was rectified very quickly and without a fuss. Would definitely come here again
